161  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BITTECH Announces New 28 TH/s ASIC on: September 14, 2018, 03:06:17 PM
Cool. Must have caved in. I was telling them people thought they were a scam and they needed to have someone review. I was looking at their Slush stats and actual hashrate looks closer to 14.5-15 TH/s but a lot of fluctuations below that too. Will be interesting to see how it actually performs.
162  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: TRIPLE-1, Inc. 株式会社 松島 KAMIKAZE 7nm SHA-256 ASIC on: September 13, 2018, 08:03:04 PM
More efficient than anything else announced. Video is like a clone of what GMO put out with all the 3D renderings. Hopefully these are priced better if legit.
163  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: September 13, 2018, 12:27:09 AM
S9J is 93 W/TH and still profitable at $0.10 kWh depending on pool fees. Anyone that doesn't care about current value/quick profit most likely only cares about $/TH to mine as much BTC as quick as possible with lowest initial investment. M10 is $54/TH and S9 w/PSU is $31/TH.

That's a 43% price increase for 27% increase in efficiency.

If these were priced inline with S9, not considering efficiency increase, it'd be $1,023 ($31*33 TH/s). Add 27% for efficiency increase and this should be priced at $1300.

At $1800, it seems like they are trying to recoup losses on M3 sales when Bitmain and Avalon price warred each other and they didn't follow. They were still trying to sell for $700 for the longest time when S9's were $500.

ASIC + ICO = scam.

Wonder why Blokforge is selling GMO if ASIC+ICO = scam. Feel sorry for anyone buying those. ROI in 2+ years.

The m10 is   supoosed to be under 70 watts a th

The mini model here based on 10nm, if legit, has similar efficiency as M10 at around 72 W/TH. It's more efficient than the larger 14nm model. Two minis would be about same efficiency as M10, but only $1100 before shipping. M10 should really be priced at $1300 or less to ROI in 9 months at $0.05 kWh. I was waiting for coin prices to go up some before purchasing anything that's currently selling as well as any reviews after ship dates. Bittech said they have already sold many of them and are guaranteeing stated September shipment dates. Weren't interested in providing units for review and said they'd expect live reviews after shipment.

They just added 921 firmware a couple days ago:

Price is still too high IMO, but being first to market allows them to do that. I expect price wars to start once someone else gets to market. ROI is going to be over a year if you have $0.05 kWh and if specs are accurate. Faster ROI with cheap 841 or S9.
167  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Attic Exhausting on: September 10, 2018, 07:04:44 PM
Key components are ventilation and sealing warm air leaks. The temperature of your attic should be the same as outside temperature, but there are a lot of factors that will affect that. One thing that was not mentioned in that video is to not block soffits. In the video it looks like they may have blocked the soffits spraying foam directly into them which pretty much destroys ventilation. You need to have open soffits to let the air in. If using standard roll insulation, there are baffles you can install to allow the air in while still insulating around. I had to install vents all along one side of the roof on a house I purchased about a year ago because they not only blocked with insulation, but also blocked off entirely with a fascia board. Don't know how some people even call themselves roofers or contractors.
168  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Attic Exhausting on: September 10, 2018, 01:41:37 PM
If you live where it snows, I'd be concerned with ice damming, mold, and shortening the life of your roof. It's generally a bad idea to exhaust air directly into an attic, especially warm air in the winter. If the plan is to run it all through ducting to an exhaust fan, then you should be OK.

User guide is here: https://bittech.cn.com/img/software/bittech-guide.pdf
Certifications here: https://bittech.cn.com/img/certifications/

Can be under/overclocked and voids warranty. Can point to any pools you want. Service contract is for hosting. When selecting shipping method it's supposed to remove service contract.
170  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BITTECH Announces New 28 TH/s ASIC on: September 06, 2018, 11:07:43 PM
all you're doing is creating an illusion of legitimacy by posting this stuff here.

Same could be said for every single piece of hardware that nobody has physically received yet, including GMO (also has an ICO) and the Whatsminer M10. It's why it's in speculation. GMO still hasn't shown a physical running model. Price drop on this makes it more attractive than both. People said the same about Halong and it turned out to be legitimate, although with ASICBoost.

I am waiting to hear back from sales on how their admin panel functions, ability to over/underclock, etc. Based on their demo videos, admin is accessible on local network, running CGminer, and not hosted/cloud-based like the 8 nano that some are speculating is producing fake hashrate through cloud mining.
171  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BITTECH Announces New 28 TH/s ASIC on: September 06, 2018, 08:41:01 PM
I have a lot of BTC from 2010 to burn. Trying to get one to prove if it's a scam or not.
172  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BITTECH Announces New 28 TH/s ASIC on: September 06, 2018, 08:26:18 PM
Because it's hardware speculation and those interested may want to purchase it. They have video of it running at least. Most vaporware has nothing but rendered images. I'd order one if I could get past step 2 during checkout.
173  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BITTECH Announces New 28 TH/s ASIC on: September 06, 2018, 08:04:44 PM
Prices dropped to $963 for BITTECH One and $549 for Mini. Shipping September 15-25.

Not sure on how to order them because they are now forcing you to purchase a minimum 3 month hosted contract for an additional $171, which doesn't make sense. Initially you didn't have to select a service contract, but now it defaults. Looks like if you set contract=0 in URL it will bypass it, but who knows if they'd accept order.
174  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: September 05, 2018, 04:01:42 PM
Support says the September batch is sold out and the Oct/Nov batches are new runs

November batch was always listed. Anyone here order a September batch? I see them listed still on whatsminer.net also with October batch.
175  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: September 04, 2018, 06:06:55 PM
Same here. I have not heard about delays. Maybe they sold out the first batch?

They changed the dates everywhere for first batch and lowered the price by $100. I guess only those who placed an order for September 20 would know if there's a delay or not. Hopefully it doesn't end up like the M3 pre-order where they are unprofitable by the time you receive them.
176  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: September 04, 2018, 05:30:20 PM
First batch pre-order shipment date changed from 09/20/2018 to 10/25/2018. Was thinking about grabbing one when delivery was September, but most likely won't now.
177  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: August 31, 2018, 08:21:19 PM
haha we are in the same boat. my company want to order samples, too but they dont reply on wechat xD i think they dont want our money

Tried getting a quote in past for investor with 1,500 megawatts and no response. Probably for the best though cause everyone else's gear prices plummeted shortly after.
178  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches Antminer S9 Hydro on: August 29, 2018, 03:40:27 PM
Seems like a cash grab to sell off the rest of their old S9 parts. I bet they wish they had Yang Zuoxing back.
179  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Fulijuntuan TITAN 110TH 3200watts 32watts/TH? Real or Not? on: August 27, 2018, 07:28:23 PM
Name alone should give it away.  Wink

Their model looks like taped and glued together cardboard/styrofoam that's spraypainted black.

Quality Photoshopping here:

People have posted photos of receiving T2 Turbo already, so it is currently shipping.

I agree this does look a little shady, but they do show a physical model running on Slush and have been available since May, but perhaps using them to privately mine. Regarding the One and Mini using different chips, the mini is actually a mini for their next model called the One S, which will use the same 10nm chips and supposedly be 36 TH/s @ 2600-2800 watts. Prototype not expected until Q4.
