I don't see that New Zealand team can play any better than this. This time the New Zealand team is batting first but still not able to score many runs. I really don't think that the other test nations would like to witness a reduction in their funding. In the end, always it is the associate nations who will suffer. And even among the associate nations, mercenary teams like UAE and USA will get a higher share this time, thanks to their good performance during the world cup qualifiers.

It was another splendid performance from the Pakistan team. Many of the players are fresh from the Pakistan Super League and the impact was quite visible in their performances. Yesterday the partnership between Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan added close to 100 runs on board for Pakistan, and then Iftikhar Ahmed performed some fireworks towards the end. New Zealand are without there main players but the way they fielded and bowled tells a lot about the strength of this young team. To be very honest, NZ coming without the main players, has added pressure on the Pakistan team as now they will have to win all the matches and series otherwise the world will say that Pakistan is beaten by the NZ B team. I am also confident that Pakistan should defend this 182 runs but I see a lot of confidence and passion in the young NZ squad and the Pakistan team needs to remain serious and vigilant and should not take things for granted thinking they are playing against an inexperienced New Zealand Squad. Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub scored 47 runs each but I did not see any score from the rest of the Pakistan team. The opening partnership between Babar and Rizwan also failed in this match. The good thing about having team of native players is that once your team and infrastructure is built, it will be there forever and this is not possible with team of expats.
Recently we have good development in Nepal about cricket but sadly still this is not enough for having quick results like we have in the UAE and USA because they are not rich like them, so things can bring changes but not significantly this will take time, and we can hope Nepal will be improved their quality in T20i which will bring them to better place in near future. Recently we have the good number of matches in Kirtipur Cricket Stadium and fans were exciting about this which is also good sign for them sadly no big board in subcontinent is going ahead for the giving them better support but still they can alone win this fight which will help them for having their part in this game in near future. Nepal has shown good improvements recently. But of course, they will have to prove themselves against bigger opponents. The only way to get recognized all around the world is to beat opponents who are better. One example I can think of is Bangladesh. I also believe 8 to 12 test matches in one year is not possible but as I already mention if we are able to have 10 to 14 test matches in two years this is also good idea because this will increase quality and performance as well to many teams which are having good domestic system and able to bring test playing players because now they can do all their strategy with WTC final which is going to play after every two years this is also good idea but here we need to have better support from big countries as well.
The Ashes and BGT trophies are good as these teams are competitive in finance and playing quality, but others have no luxury like this which is big case here ICC and big countries can help all others which could be surely vital for this format and his long life.
Even 10 to 14 matches per 2 years sounds like a lot for me. 7 test matches per year comes to 35 days. Most of the teams don't play more than 25 to 30 ODI matches in a year and in case of T20I the number is even lower. So how can we justify spending far more days for the least popular format, when compared to the more popular formats? IMO, 4-5 test matches can be played per year. That will give an ideal balance between all the formats. If we need more than this number, then separate squads should be formed for test as well as limited overs format. Honestly, I think it is time to just get rid of the test format. This is absolutely not popular at all right now. I honestly think there is no use for test cricket in this day and age. The time which is spent playing test cricket is going to be better utilized if T-20 matches are being played during that time frame. Test cricket is not useless. What it has become significantly unimportant. Getting rid of it is not the point as test format is really important for players to check their stamina and consistency like how they can play in 5 days . The true meaning of this format is to check players patience and sensibility on ground . Many good players fail to perform in this format due to lack of experience. Its importance can't be denied . |

You can't really blame them, most people sees age as not a number, but as a countdown for when things are "too late". That's why you'd see people giving up on their dreams, especially the old ones, I once rode an Uber on the way to work and the driver that drove me there talked about how he wanted to be a lawyer, but couldn't go back to that dream even though there's nothing that's really stopping him because he sees himself as "too old" for the craft. I felt defeated back then trying to talk him out of that silly notion but he seems indignant.
You can tell people that they can be whoever they wanted to be but it only goes so far, age, dreams, all of that comes to play. They can't be who they wanted to be if they don't want to be anything in the first place.
Age is just a number but the real depreciating point of your life is when your health is not good and you are following a unhealthy lifestyle. Your lifestyle determines alot hos you'll love your old age , if you adapted a healthy, active lifestyle in your young age plus exercise then be sure you'll have a good old age and you can do anything you want at that time too . |
