What block is POW expected to end

actually it s set on block 10k.
but i am going to cut the PoW and make it pure PoS earlier.

when are you going to do that? price will go up as soon as it is done

sources will be updated tonight. i ll then contact all pools, services & exchanges.
Cutoff will be within 4-5 days.

Guys, sorry for my English, but I'll try to explain you something how it works. Look at the pictures. We have a private mining pool with huge mining power. How it works. It starts mining for short period of time when difficulty is low, as a result difficulty rises, and then pool shutdowns. That is why it takes too much time to find the block, because difficulty is high, and mining power is low. When block is found it starts mining again.

thats the issue at the moment.

EDIT: i am going to do something against it.

when will you release bitkey dev?

ETAs will be mostly like posted in the OP. i am still doing
my best to get everything done faster. As for the BitKey
beta release, we re planning next week (i said end of this or next week).
and i am not going to rush on the release cause i think stability is more important.

no point at all selling right now when this is going to be released at any time.

release is set for 7th september like
posted in the op.

Can't synch last 2 hours. What happened?
no worries. everything is fine.

diff is very high and blocks are often coming very slow.
Block 2151 needed more than 2 hours to get solved.
The wallets starts to show "out-of-sync" when blocks take so long to mine.

168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICG][X11] IncognitoCoin ANON-tx using BitKey™ | Pos 5% | Bittrex on: August 30, 2014, 12:36:41 PM
I have asked Bitsta to come by on the thread later and answer all your questions.

When is he actually going to do this, and why isn't he more transparent with a timeline?

what exactly do you mean with "more transparent with a timeline" ?
btw - all work except "implementation of anon-tx system" is already
fullfilled. (not to mention the PoS hardfork i implemented for free).

anyway, back to the topic:
as you re able to write the above stated posts i conclude that
you re also able to read through my ANN post and also the entry regarding BitKey and
it s ETA (btw -i also published that in IRC...).
So it's clearly posted that the BitKey beta release is planed 2-3 weeks after ROOT-release.

any questions?

cheers,
bitsta

P.S. to everybody else: If you have questions please ask me directly or send
me a PM. i don't know why Crowdwhale has something against me.
but bit***g around and getting rude like him won't
help anybody.(please see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=714793.msg8082848#msg8082848)
funny enough that he had time to verbally attack me but wasn't able to
perceive the ETAs from the thread.

So I recently switched my laptop from Linux Mint 16 to Ubuntu 14.04. I was trying to build a wallet based on the Bitcoin 8.3 client, but I got all sorts of errors. I attempted it on the IDE and the terminal, nothing works. Is it hopeless to try and build an outdated wallet on 14.04 or am I missing something simple? I guess we just need to update to the latest Bitcoin version.

Have you tried building the current Bitcoin client the same way, and if so, does it work? Also, have you tried building with the standard build scripts (./autogen.sh; ./configure; make)? It may be an issue with missing dependencies, or (less likely) a bug in the code of the wallet you're attempting to build.
The reason I posted this is becuase I never had issues before with the code. I originally compiled it on Mint 16 (32), with no issues. I switched to Ubuntu 14.04, re-added all the deps and all these issues came up. Also weirdly, I can't get the executable built on Mint to run on Ubuntu.... I will try the original bitcoin 8.3 to see if I get the same errors.

can you pastebin the compiling-output please. i think the issue is wrong deps for 14.04.

Current difficulty is 666, absolute proof that Bitsta is the anti-christ!!

Just thought I'd add my own 2c to the FUD

Cheesy
haha. i love this one.

btw - it s probably the most realistic
FUD in the last couple of days. lol
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RootCoin [ROOT] - rootEX™ announced - ANON-tx using BitKey™- PoW/PoS/PoI on: August 29, 2014, 09:14:22 AM
lol either u guys are bag holding or u are just dumb

It's pretty obvious this is a scam

Also dev is the same dev of Distrocoin, another scam

Bitsta is not the Distrocoin Dev.  He actually helped the Distrocoin dev to get their wallet staking.

Do you have anything else?  Can you please return to your troll cave.

BumBumBum...

Celani10 u my hero now i buy 20btc@ 14k, tnx for manipulate loser.

let Celani10 troll around. lol.

he s probably bored and/or missed the boat and
tries to get some cheap coins. just another n*** with
absolutely no idea of crypto. posting red marked infos
which are posted public in the OP. guess one of the other
top 5 markets sent him to us. lol

anyway, my focus is 100% on ROOT, i won't waste a second
answering such crapy posts. let the trolls troll...
just more cheap coins for us.

wallet stopped sync 2 hrs ago whats name of conf and nodes

thats because it took more than 2h30min to solve a block. so the wallets starts
to show "non-snyced".

p.s. sample-config file is posted in OP. name it RootCoin.conf
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RootCoin [ROOT] - rootEX™ announced - ANON-tx using BitKey™- PoW/PoS/PoI on: August 28, 2014, 06:24:06 AM
Hey Admin,

The rootcoin wallet download for windows throws me to megauploads but the page cannot be displayed. Can you please look into that? Once the website goes live, it will be easier for us to download the wallet i suppose! Smiley

Have been mining root on minep.it and now need to transfer it to a local wallet.

hi micky123,

there are two different file-hosintg services for the windows-wallet. mega and dropbox.
please use the dropbox-URL if you have issues with mega:

How much does it cost to produce a coin at current diff?

It's not easy. At current diff I'm not mining anymore. Unless the diff drops to below 500 it's really not worth it to mine. There are more profitable scrypt coins to mine right now ;-)

Still buying Root though =D

EDIT: @Bitsta - Before I stopped mining I switched my rig from the official pool to Supranova and started getting more reasonable payouts. I think I'm still owed for quite a few shares from the official pool..

shares don't matter.
the official pool isn't getting any blocks...
