161  Other / Off-topic / Re: Another nail in the paypal coffin!! awesome on: November 28, 2013, 05:05:43 PM
No PayPal is the biggest piece of junk that should suffer bankruptcy as soon as possible. Killers are nicer to people than PayPal is to its customers.
162  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How can I use Bitcoin as validation engine? on: November 27, 2013, 08:23:17 PM
Looking at Bitcoin, it is probably the most secure tokenized system the world has today. But how can I use either Bitcoin, or maybe even the block-chain/miner & nodes validation, for third party projects.

I could imagine this in a project where Bitcoin would act as timestamp for certain routines, or for validating certain requests historically, but that would mean I need to lean towards Bitcoin itself, and not fork the project, which in turn gives me an obsolete/insecure alt-coin that does not give the hashing protection Bitcoin has, and can be tampered with. My point is that I want a decentralized database, protected by miners. It is great for sessions, storage, proof of work, proof of ownership etc.

So what is the suggestion in the community about this? Fork? Build a layer on of Bitcoin somehow? Fork the block-chain, and keep the hash power? (not even possible I assume)
163  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-26 PerthNow: Why the bitcoin bubble will burst on: November 27, 2013, 12:53:16 AM
Guys, give them some slack. This is so far off from what they were taught that it blows their mind so much they NEED to lie or misunderstand it. Bitcoin is so disturbing right now that nobody in the payment industry knows what to do about it. They just DONT GET IT, and they dont get the world they protect can be over in a short as 1 year.
164  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-21 Bloomberg: China will not increase dollar reserves anymore on: November 25, 2013, 11:49:34 AM
This could be big! Maybe China actually invented Bitcoin.... Fed up with the FED printing USD?
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at the US Senate on: November 11, 2013, 09:49:59 AM
Why is a foundation representing something that cannot be represented? Seriously, what makes you guys speak for the rest of us?
166  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: New Mystery about Satoshi on: November 04, 2013, 05:17:31 PM
To have that puts him being someone that has access and resources. Either working for someone, or having amassed this himself, maybe having his own tech company.

You mentioned before some other software we have not yet seen was part of building the genesis block. Do you have more info about that Sergio?
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dwolla stops support for virtual currencies on: October 11, 2013, 09:11:49 AM
The War on Bitcoin continues...

Bitcoin has already won.

It must be hard for those centralized services to come to understand that the power they once held by shutting down accounts and freezing assets is now over. We have an alternative, and while they still do not fully grasp that we are mocking them, they are really trying hard to sound professional and in control.

Dwolla is a great example on how users could care less about now that something such as Bitcoin exists. This behavior we will see more and more from centralized services that will close operations, while at the same time thinking they are the greatest achievement to mankind.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dwolla stops support for virtual currencies on: October 10, 2013, 09:42:55 PM
I got this message from them on Tuesday. They are about to introduce new features and I think they see Bitcoin as competition. They don't want to support the development of their competor.

Reserve your seat.
We’ve been working on something we’re pretty excited about, something that will:
Allow you to buy the things you love, immediately
Introduce a new level of convenience to the community
Carry the same low transaction fee
Introduce some new friends to the platform
Open up the network to new ideas and possibilities

LOL! Really? This is just yet another centralized system among, what, 50? Seriously, we dont need Dwolla, Bitcoin has grown bigger than this piece of shit system, and as many others they will realize they will fail at the idea of "we will hold your money safe".
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dwolla stops support for virtual currencies on: October 10, 2013, 07:50:51 PM
So a lesser used system, on the brink of disappearing into the unknown (especially when compared to Bitcoin) drops the usage of allowing people to convert into BTC? Sounds like a suicide attempt. Honestly, nobody knows what Dwolla is, its a niche system, and we should move on and leave them die without dignity.
170  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Swiss national councillor to ban Bitcoins on: September 21, 2013, 10:11:34 AM
This is odd considering the neighbor country, Germany, is the most outspoken positive about Bitcoin. On top of that the Swiss also value privacy and are pretty much against anything that threatens their sovereign right to privacy in most aspect of daily life. This is rather shocking, but I guess the dumbfuck politician missed the point of Bitcoin like many other old farts in power.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulate my ass on: August 27, 2013, 07:54:27 AM
Sadly changing this will be easy for the powers that be. All it requires is to make sure the main developers change the protocol to their needs and use that as the offiicial Bitcoin client on bitcoin.org

All new people coming to Bitcoin wont realize these forums are screaming protocol changes and will believe whatever they are told to believe.

Gavin and crew will comply since they wont like a cell in Gitmo, and so dies Bitcoin.

As of this moment this wont happen, but if Bitcoin because what we all hope it becomes the fight will take new heights. Its messing with the most power people of this world, do you think they will stand by and see their printed trillions blow up? Hardly.....
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NY regulator memo: Notice of Inquiry on Virtual Currencies on: August 13, 2013, 11:34:59 PM
I dont get this, how exactly will they ACTUALLY stop Bitcoin? There is talk, more talk and even more talk. All the rules and regulations in the world, wont do shit to Bitcoin. The reality is that thousands of users ARE using it, regardless of what someone is saying, simply because they know they cannot be touched. So what is this all for? One last hurrah by regulators?
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Git commit ostensibly from Satoshi in recent transaction on: August 13, 2013, 04:31:26 PM

177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ruh Roh, bitcoin on the radar of the IMF? on: June 05, 2013, 08:29:52 PM
If Bitcoin walks this fine line the next years time, I think that Bitcoin will never be shut down. Right now we are in transition periods, with our network speed still going up. Once it hits a high peak it will show how strong Bitcoin really is. One year guys, just one more year and we are immortal!  Grin
178  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 05, 2013, 08:00:57 PM

179  Economy / Services / Looking for experienced programmers on: June 03, 2013, 09:54:54 AM
I am in need of a very experienced programmers that are good with php and API integration. I also furthermore need someone that is VERY stable and will be able to keep to deadlines and stay online and work with me and not disappear every day.

Here are my requirements in details:

- You know your php in and out, you have preferably worked with a framework such as Zend, but you can also do without
- You know jQuery and native Javascript and can handle most routine tasks
- You are familiar with Bootstrap HTML framework as we will be using that

It will take me roughly ˝ hour on IRC/Skype to explain the requirement for the project. If you are up for making some good money please contact me and we can take the rest in details on Skype.

You must be willing to sing an NDA for this project. And you really must be a stable guy that can at least hold the deadlines you give yourself. You pretty much have free hands, but for the love of god, if you take this project at least stick to it.

We will be working with some test projects first, in order for me to ensure your skills are up to date with the requirements. If you are interested in hearing more, please send me a PM.

This is probably one of the best investments mankind has seen in a very very long time. This baby is paying a sweet amount of dividend out as well as rising in value like a monster. God I love myself for buying at the right time  Grin
