161  Other / Beginners & Help / I found a very interesting way to earn Bitcoins and Litecoins... on: November 21, 2013, 05:39:13 PM
I was over at EasyBitco.in talking to one of the mods and he recommended this thing called Coin By Call (direct link, not referral). I also did a write-up about it here if you want the skinny before you check them out:

http://bitcoinops.com/other-free-bitcoin-sites/earn-free-bitcoin-litecoin-at-coin-by-call/

I've got them playing through Skype right now and the Litecoins are adding up. I'm at approx. 0.018 LTC after about 2 1/2 hours.

Cheers!

Cynthia
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: infinitecoin going by the wayside, or to the dogs, or just go away? on: November 21, 2013, 04:31:15 PM
I'm sure you'll be waiting for infinity for them to become worth that, but who knows. Hope it pays off for you.

Probably...but who knows...stranger things have happened. I'm sure that guy in the news recently who invested $20-something in BTC years ago probably thought "It most likely won't amount to anything, but what the hell" and now he has a nice little windfall Smiley

/ Hope for the best, expect the worst, and you'll never be disappointed.

Where can I go to track IFC value? I bought a fair amount of it on the cheap and want to be able to track its value.

http://coinmarketcap.com/

Thanks I appreciate it Smiley I am an Infinitecoin multi-millionaire LOL. Seriously, I bought something like 13 million of 'em for peanut dust. If they even go up to 5 cents apiece in value, I'll have a nice little nest egg.

(keeps fingers crossed)
164  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in - is it even worth it? on: November 21, 2013, 01:12:11 PM
I don't get why folks are griping about something that they are getting for *free*. The payouts got cut, so what. It makes sense since BTC values have skyrocketed.
165  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in - is it even worth it? on: November 21, 2013, 12:47:32 PM
I like FreebitCo.in more than some of the other faucets out there. The minimum payout is comparable to or better than most of the other faucets out there and there is the possibility of higher payout. I've never won the higher amounts, but I did win 0.0003 once. I like that you can multiply your winnings if you like. I've won (and lost) quite a bit doing that Smiley
166  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Faucet where you can get upto 0.3 BTC every hour **NEW PROMO** on: November 21, 2013, 11:53:30 AM
Just wanted to let you know - I added a nice little review of your site on http://bitcoinops.com. It's on the front page. If I missed anything, please let me know.

Cheers,

Cynthia
167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I allowed to post a link to something like this? on: November 20, 2013, 10:19:43 PM
The correct forum would be "service announcements".
However, I am already skeptical of any "best and highest paying BTC websites". A page with paid referral links to such sites is not going to be appreciated.

No, absolutely no paid links at all. These are all sites that I've found and used myself as I have been learning about BTC. Those sites that provide referral links for folks to use, like BTC Clicks, etc..., yes, I am using those links - primarily to at least partially fund my monthly giveaways. But not every site listed is one that provides a referral link.
168  Other / Beginners & Help / Am I allowed to post a link to something like this? on: November 20, 2013, 09:51:21 PM
I've built a website where I include short write-ups on all of the best and highest paying BTC websites that I've found.

My question is two-fold:

1) Am I allowed to announce on this board and if so, in where?
2) Is it OK if I ask board members to PM / email me if they know of one that I've overlooked?

Thanks!

Cynthia

oop first ddos attack already lol  Undecided

I hate when that happens  Angry

You're running WordPress, right? There's a security plugin that I use that works wonders. I have it on an adult site that I run. The site has gotten hammered more times than I can count and has yet to go down. It's All In One WP Security.

Well.. is over :/

"Sorry, the funds are too low! Sad"

Yeah. With no advertisers there is no way I can keep it up. Guess you guys should wait for the ruby on rails update!

When the new version is ready to go up, PM me. I'd like to make a small donation toward it.

Wow ok... Thanks! It will take a few weekends to make but I will try my best.

Don't get too excited...lol...I'm a BTC pauper, but I like what you're trying to do so I'll scrape together what I can.

@gracesfall Hey, you have to be an experienced miner and need to have at least 2 mining rigs with 4 gpus each to get >3MH hashrate to participate in this promotion.

So, i think you do your first steps in LTC mining Smiley Please follow our getting started tutorial (https://www.ltcrabbit.com/index.php?page=gettingstarted) and ask questions using the LTCRabbit shoutbox.

Best,
PPanther

No problem - thanks for letting me know Smiley I'll check out the tutorial probably this evening.
178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinabul owes me 241.96 BTC on: November 18, 2013, 06:40:19 PM
I'm not with Coinabul (not even sure what they are to be honest) and I am very new to BTC, but I read an article yesterday or the day before how US banks were closing down the accounts of any business even remotely visibly associated with BTC. That means having it in their domain name, accepting it as currency, etc... They weren't freezing assets, just closing the accounts. Coinabul was one of the companies specifically mentioned in the article.

http://vr-zone.com/articles/bitcoin-businesses-getting-banned-banks-us/64047.html

Playing devil's advocate here, is it possible that that is what has happened and it is taking them time to regroup. If so, I agree that they have done a piss poor job of keeping their customers in the loop, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they are intentionally scamming anyone.

Of course, I could be completely wrong. I don't know. The name 'Coinabul' made me remember the article though.

Hope you get your orders though - that is a beyond sucky situation to be in.
179  Economy / Services / Re: Domaining - get involved into profitable trading with domain names on: November 18, 2013, 06:29:40 PM
So basically you're buying domain names and hoping that someone wants what you have so you can flip them at a profit. Sound about right? There. I just saved everyone $49 Smiley

Almost correct, but I am not "hoping" Wink I know which domains I can sell within a few days for high profit, that's the point Smiley And yes, people are ready to pay $xxx or $xxxx for domain that I bought few days earlier for less than $10.

I am into this business for many years, and last two years domaining is my main job so I am pretty experienced and know exactly how I should trade.

I don't disagree with you that it is possible to buy a domain and then turn around and sell it for much more than you paid. BUT that is the exception, not the rule. And to make people think that *anyone* can just go purchase any old domain and flip it for a couple grand is misleading. If it were REALLY so easy to do, you'd have the money to set up a system where their domain trades had to be done through your site and you got x amount from their first however many trades. Then you could just give the info away and make more profit off of the percentage you get from initial trades than you would from the sale of your so-called secrets.

That would be the honest and ethical way to do it, at any rate.
