David Raya was also a target for Manchester United but ended up choosing Onana, which in my opinion choosing Onana was a mistake. Today Raya proved that she is better than Onana, very clear and comparable over the last few kagas. Manchester United has again made the wrong decision in choosing a goalkeeper. There is a lot of praise that David Raya can get with Arsenal considering that if Arteta has given him a place and continues to be used as a starter, it means that Artets has great trust. It is possible that a permanent option will be realized next season. Ramsdale may have to be willing to share space because after all this is a risk he has to accept.

I think Onana is not a bad choice but it was unnecessary for sure. It is difficult for any new player at the beginning at United. At United , pressure is huge and right now Onana is under a huge pressure. I would say Onana hasn't adjusted well at United and needs a bit more time in my opinion.

Raya also could have been a good choice but the difficult part is Brentford doesn't wants to let him go easily and at that time when United were looking for goalkeeper, United were actually looking for a permanent option and not a temporary one.

Dortmund doesn't really want to win a title either in the Bundesliga or in the Champions League because Dortmund's goal is only to train its talented players so they can sell at high prices to elite European clubs. If Dortmund wants to win the title, it might happen because Dortmund has talented players in it, so if they are able to compete strongly and pursue their ambition to win the title, Dortmund will definitely be Bayern Munich's strongest rival.
Unfortunately, Dortmund only thinks about business without thinking about the careers of its players so they can win trophies, that's why many Dortmund players don't want to stay at Dortmund for long because Every player definitely wants the title of champion at the club he plays.

BVB could actually be Bayern's arch rival for years, just like Real Madrid-Barcelona in La Liga.

However, unfortunately this philosophy is not like the top teams which keep their best players in the elite Bundesliga teams. Many talented players have moved to other teams, perhaps this is all due to business reasons, apart from stabilizing the club's finances. But in my opinion, as long as BVB cannot retain talented young players for the team's future, it will be difficult to become Bundesliga champions, let alone winning the UCL league, it will not be possible.

They could be but they fail to retain players and ultimately end up selling players to other clubs which is why I feel that they haven't been achieve a title for so long. They have very good environment of developing players but I feel that with lack of experienced players they always fell short. I feel that they should need to try to convince players to stay with a bit lucrative contract extensions so that they can try and have a good shot at a title for once. Another thing they can do is start getting a big release clause on contracts of some young potential players like Barcelona has been doing lately in order to secure players.

Was Ten Hag's decision to dump De Gea and buy Onana the best decision? I don't think so. He has conceded 19 times in 11 matches. Pretty bad stats with fantastic transfer prices. Even Onana also did not only make one mistake resulting in a goal. I don't blame him all, because their defence is not very good either. But it seems that Ten Hag's football philosophy is not entirely running smoothly. Many supporters hope De Gea can return to Man United.

I feel pressure is too much at United. It's not an easy environment there. I find signing a bit unnecessary but since they have done it then it's even worse going back to sign De Gea back again. It's better to stick Onana and give him time to adjust and be more confident protecting the net. Signing De Gea will not happen no matter how much supporters want it to happen. Sorry but it just sounds ridiculous to make a signing of 50m Euro and ditch a player who served them for more than a decade and then ditch the player they signed for a 50m and go onto get that player again.

There's presence of top competition between the goalkeepers, Ramsdale and Raya are the favorites but only earns the starting spot in the current XI for Mikel Arteta. David Raya have growned to become one of the important starters for Arsenal after improving in his performance in Emirates stadium. Mikel Arteta already seen good starts for the Spaniard and will make more use of his presence in league games. David Raya have made blunders against Manchester City, although he later bounced back to his peak in the second half, one of the crucial attributes he contributed in the team was good long servings to his players on the pitch during play.

Raya is good but I also feel like Ramsdale also shouldn't be left out. I don't know into specifics of Raya deal with Brentford but I feel like getting Raya from Brentford won't be an easy one. Also we already have Ramsdale who was also doing a great job so we also wouldn't want to lose him if he feels like left out with lack of opportunities later on. I think Arteta needs to find a way to balance the chances for both the keepers so that everyone would be satisfied.

Leroy Sane is a good palyer but after choosing this palyer, Liverpool accepted the fact that they were about to lose Salah and this is not good for any team to lose their legendary palyer. Because even if Salah stays in Liverpool after being offered a huge amount of money he obviously lost his focus for the next games and the best thing to do for this palyer is to leave.

Well they have to anticipate this as Salah has been there for long and with big offers being submitted for a player you might  never know how things would turn within a short span of time. I believe it's good to have a counter measure and I think Liverpool are doing a good thing with this. It's not about accepting that they would lose Salah but more like that if that happens what they will do. We have already seen how Mane's departure took an effect and they wouldn't want to happen the same thing now if Salah turns his head to other direction.

Jorghen Klopp is one manager that Liverpool may not want to sack just like that,i mean he hasn't done anything that deserves sack. His team did poorly last season, but this season, they are really ready to hit the ground running, they have done well in the couple of games played so far.Furthermore,Joghen Klopp is aiming to bring back Liverpool to where it was three seasons ago where they were one of the best teams in Europe,he still has that energy to make this current Liverpool team get to the spot they deserve. If Jorghen Klopp is to leave Liverpool,I think it would be on a ground that he wants to retire, but for Liverpool to sack him any time soon,I don't think it's possible.

I would say he has done and achieved so many things not to sack. It is hard for a club to find a manager who can give a club so much success. With that much success, Klopp has earned board's respect and confidence and that is the most vital thing for a manger to be secure. With a couple of flop seasons this may go south but as of now board trusts Klopp's instinct.

I don't think Klopp wants to move or retire yet. I feel that with Liverpool he can achieve lot of things. This season Klopp target will be to bring back Liverpool to CL spot back again.

The absence of Rodri and De Bruyne has certainly reduced Manchester City's attacking intensity, but in the end they must not use that as an excuse for defeat. Arsenal almost wouldn't have scored if Martinelli's shot didn't hit Nathan Ake in the face. For me it was a lucky goal for Arsenal.

Well we were lucky but we did tried for most part of the game and we also held City's attack and didn't gave them much room to find so I feel we did deserved the result with the way we played. Yeah, if it weren't a deflection off from Ale's face then much likely would have been saved by Ederson.

Manchester City basically almost took the lead if Ake or Gvardiol could have scored early in the first half, but both failed. Manchester City and Arsenal were both under pressure throughout the match as they couldn't score any goals, but in the end it was a lucky day for Arsenal.

Well they aren't goalscorers but yeah they did get opportunities but still I wouldn't pin down on them. What about Haaland or Alvarez or other attackers? Anyway I feel Arsenal did a great job and that is why we got the three points in the end. A draw would have been nice too but we don't want split of points and keep the gap intact with City.

fc chelsea has reportedly added nigerian napoli striker Victor Osimhen to its list of january transfer targets.

Chelsea will never run out of money, they still have the funds to buy expensive players. Lol

It seems like Todd Bodly is still not satisfied with his team's current performance, especially in the attack line which is still dull and difficult to score goals let alone win, maybe by bringing in Osimhen there could be changes and Todd Bodly's hopes, any player he wants will definitely be bought.

How about time to invest for defense. They have deep pockets no doubt but they are putting it wrong. In my opinion , I think they should be able to get a very good defender with 50-60m and that's not a lot considering how much they have spent so far since Boehly came in. Silva is the strongest defender but he is getting old and I think they should really think about getting some strong defenders to play alongside Silva or maybe replace him in near future.

Manchester United team is 10th in the points table. The team is not performing very well. It is important for Manchester United to stay inside the 5th place in the points table so that the team can create a chance to achieve something good.
It really looks unrealistic to see Manchester United to stay at 5th position when they currently only have mediocre players and it's still long to go the transfer window will reopen. Manchester United just need to make sure they will not follow Chelsea's path, I think they're still on a way to become Chelsea 2.0 where they lose against mediocre clubs.

Their next match against Sheffield United, will they lose again? Cheesy

I am not sure what is wrong with them but they need someone to step up. Last season it was Rashford but this season everyone is off the mark. It's the same team like last season but it seems to be that they have lost their confidence and that is why they are beginning to lose their form. Ten Haag again has lot to do like when he joined the team and brought down the changes.

Blades doesn't seems like a tough opponent but the form United are in right now makes it doubtful for United also. However United are definitely the favourites.

I read in the news today that City still cannot convince Haaland to sign a new contract with an increased release amount and a longer term one. At the moment, his release clause is 173 million and if you look at other transfers, it doesn’t look too expensive or above the market. I have a suspicion that if Real doesn't get Mbappe on good terms, they will buy Haaland. An excellent opportunity for Real Madrid to have a strong position in negotiations with Mbappe.

Interesting...according to Mirror: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-city-erling-haaland-clause-31150841, it does seems right. I also thought that he might move later on but I always thought that he will extend contract for a bit more as he likes City a lot. Yeah it does seems now that it would be Haaland if not Mbappe. Would like to see some more strong reports from some other sources before actually start believing this.

After the last 2 matches must lose, Manchester City will host Brighton in the upcoming match. Brighton also has the status of not an easy opponent to beat, they play well even though the last 2 matches they also struggled and had to lose and draw. Manchester City must not underestimate them in this match, if they do then Brighton has the potential to give them 3 defeats in a row. The absence of KDB affects their attack line, yes now they are a little difficult in building attacks and providing passes that spoil their attackers.
Man City have lost three of their last five games, although they did very well against Leipzig in the UCL... But still they are having bad results now... Brighton are not playing very well either and even got seriously humiliated by Villa... But I still think City will win at home... Last match with City Brighton played at home in a draw... I think they will lose this away game...

City have the strongest squad in the Premier League. But we haven't seen a good performance from City in the last few matches. As Manchester City are looking to win the title, they need to play better. Manchester City's performance against Arsenal was very disappointing. They did not make any attempt to attack in this match. We do not know why City suddenly played such a strategy. However, the performance of both Brighton and City teams is a bit slow now. They are not playing well. Both teams have lost points in the last two matches. So both will aim to score points in this match. Brighton have been scoring a lot of goals this season. That's why I don't think City will win this match easily.
Don't forget that clubs are not without their downtime, their players are not immune to this well, let's assume that this is the downtime of Man City, they will surely bounce back over time. You can see something like this in the last season before and after the World Cup when Arsenal seemed to be dominating them, but in the end, they got to lift the trophy with impressive performance all through the latter time of the season. A similar situation might play out again this season and I believe so well that Man City is still the number 1 club in the EPL, others are only following. Maybe Haaland will come out of his issues this time as his low form contributes to the woe of the City.

As for the match against Brighton, I believe that Man City could win, but at this point, one can't overemphasize things with the drop in feats of Man City. It might not be easy since Brighton is a very good team and fearless at the same time.

Yeah if City becomes confident again and becomes consistent then they will again start to gain up the pace. Season is still in early stages so they have a lot of time to cover the gap. It is the matter of who is more consistent with the form and strong teams manage to cover that over the time. With injuries, this might affect so manager also has to make sure he manages his options wisely so that team doesn't gets in difficult position in later stages of the season.

Brighton are a very strong underdogs. Underdogs isn't the right word to use for them but surely we can't underestimate them with the form they are in right now.

This is indeed the best thing for Eden Hazard to do after his spell at Madrid wasn't successful.I remember his days at Chelsea when he was like their God,he was the best player in their team at that time, and won so many things with Chelsea, but ever since he left for Madrid, everything about his career changed,he couldn't get the minutes  he gets at Chelsea anymore,he felt he has made a wrong choice leaving Standford bridge to Madrid. He tried moving on,but it wasn't just going as planned,so the best thing was to retire, which he did,and it's the best.
I thought he was going to go back to Chelsea to try and revive his football career, but he has chosen to retire.I wish him all the best.

I think he could have played a bit more because before Madrid he was very good at Chelsea and I felt like he could have displayed some good performances at some other club after Madrid. Maybe it's because he was so good , I feel like watching him for a bit more but seems like that has come to an end now. It must have been very hard decision for him given how good he was and his age. Well hope he will have happy retirement now.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 10, 2023, 06:02:32 PM
Interest in the Bundesliga had decreased because it had not been competitive for years. It was seen as a simple league that Bayern Munich always won, whereas Dortmund had many players that it brought to world football. Now there will be 2 or 3 teams that can compete with Bayern Munich and hopefully the championship will be won by a team other than Bayern soon. Like everyone else, I want it to be a competitive league.

Yes it was dominating for a long time but recently since past few years, Bayern haven't been upto mark due to which other clubs have found a way to get close to Bayern on the table. I think over th e next few years it will become more competitive as Bundesliga does have some crazy underdogs and if they find a way to be consistent then they can really become one to put the eyes on for title race. Everyone wants a competitive league and I think it is becoming slowly and I think it will become harder by harder as the season goes by.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 10, 2023, 05:25:06 PM
The excitement and competition started when Leverkusen stayed unbeaten after five game, they kept climbing up the table without dropping a single point and Munich which used to be the fierce team in bundesliga was almost looking like they would have a tough time contending Leverkusen and it did happened when they drew Leverkusen at their home.

Most likely they may meet again at the finals although Munich is at the third position on the standing and I'm sure they will get better by mid season and get back to contend the top position with Leverkusen and may probably meet at the finals, I'm pessimistic Leverkusen may soon drop point probably with a draw by their next meeting with Wolfsburg as they will be playing away, although Wolfsburg may not seem like a strong team but they will want to share the points as they are home. Xabi should be considered a great coach if he is able to finish second, because he is very young a Coach and it's his first time at the bundesliga.
Elite teams are not in good form this season, having problems meeting up the competitive standards of the bundle. I've this feeling that Bundesliga will be quite different from the ones we've witnessed in previous season. Bayern Munich and Borrusia Dortmund are 3rd and 4th on the table, accompany by Bayer Leverkusen and Stuart sitting 1st and 2nd on the table. Perhaps I hoped for the table to change in mideast because there will be presence of good actions. Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten this season in 7 bundesliga games. 6W 1D 0L. I give credits to Xabi Alonso for good effort put into the team.

Yeah not as expected from the big teams but if you look at difference there isn't much also. It's is about 2-3 points and I think in later stages both Bayern and Dortmund will be able to cover that difference. Leipzig however are behind by quite a bit more margin but I think they will also be able to cover by the end. Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Hoffenheim have been doing really great and I can see competition building up slowly in Bundesliga now. Hopefully we will have a very competitive season in Bundesliga for a change.

The debut game between Arsenal and Chelsea is very interesting and tough for both parties and no side would like to concede, well Arsenal would definitely be the favorites to win the game, based on their current performance and the fact that they've won against Manchester in their previous game would give them a boost of confidence to do better against Chelsea away from home.

Yeah Arsenal are on top form right now and Chelsea are still trying to find their form. Arsenal are clear favourites but I also wouldn't undermine Chelsea here as derby games are high intensity fixtures and despites how favourites or underdogs they are they mostly have surprises or take a turn at the last moment in the game. At Stamford it will be different but Gooners also have gotten strong since Arsenal start showing strong performances.

They're currently on the break and alot of their players would be on International duties and the both coaches would be hoping their players involved stay fit to be selected against the derby match, both teams needs to win and would therefore need the help of their key players to give them a boost in wining the match, however Chelsea's home advantage gives them more better chance.

Chelsea have been struggling and with game at home they will certainly be advantage but lately they haven't been able to show strong game at home.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 09, 2023, 05:10:23 PM
2 big teams that are currently still very difficult to rise are Manchester United and Chelsea. Yes they can win in their last match, but we will also definitely look at the matches they played before that were far from expectations. The same fate they felt the last few seasons, they could show progress but it did not last long, because then they also declined again in a very short time. Now they have to make improvements, not only in terms of players and coaches, but management must also do the same.

I'd say Chelsea and Manchester United won't be in the top four of the points table this season. Liverpool are now fourth in the table. Liverpool's points are 17. On the other hand, Manchester United's points are now 12 and Chelsea's points are now only 11. Reducing this 5/6 point gap is much more difficult, as the teams at the top of the table have all performed very strongly and regularly. To everyone's surprise, the Tottenham team is now at the top of the points table. United and Chelsea coaches should only try to stabilize their team's performance this season. They have no need to go to the top of the table. They need to prepare their squad from now to perform well next season. And they should plan for the long term.

Season is long and I think both Chelsea and United and grab up a pace but not like this. They need to change the atmosphere inside the dressing room because that is what troubles are happening. For United with every match there is some kind of controversy after coach press conference and that is not good for a club. And with Chelsea, I feel the team needs a better bonding for them to play otherwise they are a very strong team but somehow I feel that they are lacking alot in understanding each other. Both teams can easily manage to cover the gap but yeah coaches do need to clear the air and make them bond well.

Wow finally Arsenal has scored 1:0 against Manchester City, what great performance by the Arsenal team, this match is so unpredictable imagine how Manchester City was dominating first half and Arsenal came back second half with a new tactics plus few of there changes, truly I never imagine the match will turn out this way, what a great performance by the Arsenal team.

Yeah what a sweet ending for us. Substitutes shining at the end but throughout the whole game the whole team really were strong and managed to held City's press. A hard earned 3 points and very 3 points against the main title contenders. Now we just have to maintain our consistency till the end and with the depth like we have right now, I think this season we might be able to do it. 🔴

City are displaying a great work rate and are pressing Arsenal very deep. Arsenal are having the possession but unfortunately are not tight on the ball as they should be in this highly rated match of the PL this week. Arsenal have to hold their head up straight and calm themselves here otherwise at this rate I feel they are gonna make a mistake and City will have the chance they need.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 06, 2023, 03:27:22 PM
It's a tough one for Gunners and very much possible that City might be able to pull of a win here but Gunners have improved a lot and at this point they are the only one close opponent to City. Rest are not that consistent so I am really hoping for an Arsenal win here as this will change the title race exciting from the beginning. We need some change in our tactic a bit and suprise City with our performances and I hope Arteta has something special planned out for the game against City.
After the defeat in the Champions League, this was a major blow for Arsenal, the team nicknamed the Gunners had not been defeated in several weeks, the team led by Mikel Arteta did not drag on or mourn the defeat for a long time, another match was waiting, and the schedule was so busy that players need to maintain extra stamina, there are several injured players in the Champions League, this will make Arteta worry about the next match against Manchester City, Arteta has to change tactics in the match scheme later, which player is suitable for the match later, only Arteta can know the potential of each player, playing and being supported at home creates enthusiastic motivation in chasing numbers in the Premier League standings.

I think they have enough players still to cover up for the injured player so not a big worry for Arteta if you ask me. Lot of players are very adaptable to other positions so Arteta has a very good set of options to choose from. But I feel it's better to develop other players as well by giving them chances. That way they can also help in matches in a better way and create a strong team.

exactly but his excellent work is not from this year, try to understand what I mean
he did a good job in previous years and above all they made him do it
now the team is mature and it's time to reap the fruits of these investments

for me they can win the Champions League without problems

Last season also they were near to win the CL and also give a good fight in final so yes they can do it this time but with CL I feel they need a bit of luck too. They have improved a lot over the years but CL is really a different league and I feel nothing can be said for certain. But I do agree that Inter are definitely one of the CL contenders. I think they will get to quarterfinals easily but can't say for certain after then.
