Sorry, perhaps you don't understand the upward movement Verge has had over the past several months. XVG has climbed on rankings even though the market has been chaotic. That tells you not only is XVG gaining in popularity, other coins are becoming inferior. That trend will continue as Verge continues its climb. It's not going to be a rocketship to the moon... at least not tonight or tomorrow. As the world's government's look for ways to control crypto, having a truly anonymous protocol like Wraith will be increasingly needed and sought after.

They hope to keep the coin price low so they can buy it cheap and reap the rewards soon. Nothing more than that. Every analyst and model you look at, along with market trends and technology employed shows XVG to be a serious contender. Top 30 coin, Wraith Protocol, soon to be back over 1bln market cap... the list goes on and on. Pay the FUDmeisters no mind.

Make sure you read the README file after unpacking any such miner. You have to edit the .bat files to add your wallet address and make a couple other user specific tweaks to make sure you're getting paid properly.

Good luck! Plenty of info out there if you're truly interested. Lookup Sniffdog's Miner as well as Nemo's Miner, just to name a few. Coinswitch.co (not .com) supports switching most notable coins for XVG. They will compare several different exchange sites and show you what the best conversion would be for the amount your looking to get. Keep a watchful eye on that premium though. Depending on how much the exchange charges you will tell you if it's worthwhile. Good luck!

I've mined on it before. You need a decent hashrate if you're going to mine XVG efficiently. Right now, most people are better served mining multi-algo (most multi-algo switching will convert to BTC/LTC) and then convert whatever amount from that to XVG.

What's your exposure? How many XVG did you buy at that price? Have you continued to buy to hedge the purchase price? So if you bought 10k XVG  $0.10 each and then bought 10k XVG More at current price, you would have 20k XVG at a combined price of $0.08. The more you buy at current price above what you bought then drives that price gap down as well.

I've seen plenty of chart analysis that says even at $0.10/XVG that as a long term investment this should payout. Long-term is *not* 3 months to be clear.

Providing proof of your claims will help to advance it. I'm sure you're a trustworthy individual, however having evidence of your claim is more important than the claim in it of itself.

Are you people buying for long term or are you trying to day trade crypto? Buying $50 and expecting to turn into thousands in a day (or 2 months) is unrealistic on *any* investment. If you're in it because you believe in the technology, it's a long term investment. If you're buying it hoping to make a quick buck, there are a few things to understand, including exposure and return (among other things like trending, capitalization etc). If you are unable to weather a few months, I suggest you may be playing the wrong game, especially with low money in (less than $10k). Buying $50 worth and saying you're troubled it didn't go to the moon overnight and make you rich is silly.

Can someone please put their vertcoin.conf here for mining from vertcoin-qt.exe or tell me what port to point it to for local mining.

Try the Verge wallet with the blockchain download and let me know how you think it should go... this way or their way. This way to me is insane. 2+ days to sync? That's not good viability and will deter most folks from moving forward with it. I'm stubborn, so I won't let it win... but wow.

Cryptopia has had major problems for weeks. Quite a few posts about it here. Google it as well.

CRAZY blockchain sync on this wallet. Downloaded the bootstrap and instead of auto-importing and updating from the last 100 blocks, it still goes through block by block from 2014? Wow... that's not very efficient.

Without my Crystal ball, it's hard to say. but with the recent advance back above 11k with BTC (and some signs show it going as high as 13k soon) XVG will, in my estimation, be on an upward trend for the foreseeable future. If you are already invested in XVG, I would hold on to it for long-term. This coin is going places!

2 days ago it was at $0.05~... that's the crypto way... they go up, they go down. Hard to say when they will take off like a rocket. If you're interested in Verge as a long-term investment, there's no better time than the present, so long as you hold on to it. People get weird and buy higher sometimes than what they turn around and sell for. Because they get nervous or they need the money. If you're easily scared or you need the money to turn quickly, buying crypto might not be a good idea.
