i just got on to btcguild so when i figure out how to mine i can use it, but was wondering about one thing

pool speed right now is at 1.8 th/s

if there a difference in the amount of btc you will get depending on your hash rate? like if i say only do 333mh/s or if i go over the avg say 3 TH/s will the payout always be the same?

thanks for any help

hi after all my looking around on what box i want to buy, i started to think on how the miners accually connect to the internet, some sites are blocked on our network and we get messages like this....

The link you are accessing has been blocked by the Barracuda Web Filter because it contains content belonging to the category of: Streaming Media

and that was going to youtube....

Can someone help me out here so i can ask the IT guy if i can even access through a miner to mine, most all game sites, and youtube even pron sites are blocked here

thanks again

thanks for all the info, right now i was just looking at mining from a laptop until i get home, so i can learn more before i buy a miner when i get home to usa, i allready have a block chain wallet for bitcoins, but cant figure out how to make a wallet for altcoins like infinitcoin...

when i do get home, i dont mind paying 5k to 10k for a miner

thanks again for your help

hi just a quick questions, i am looking on ebay right now for miners, and see lots of the usb "block eruptors" are these just regular usb things like memory sticks?

do i just plug it in and my laptop will start mining?
can these mine all types of coins? because i know mining bitcoins on a laptop with one block eruptor might be pointless

also i see lots and lots of BUTTERFLY LABS Jalapeno 7.25 GH/s ASIC Bitcoin Miners IN HAND give or take a few GH/s all going for 500 to 700 dollars, i didnt think that log of GH/s would even make 1 bitcoin, but im still new so i could be wrong

one more thing, i see some people selling 100,000 Infinite Coin IFC for like 10 to 15 dollars, seems like a good investment with little loss if they never go up

one one more thing, lol, i see lots of 1,000MH/s 1.0GH/s ASIC BITCOIN MINER 48 HOUR CONTRACT, with all different ranges, some 200 gh/s are they safe? or worth it, the 1 gh/s was 15 dollars for 2 days mining

thanks again sorry for all the questions

hmm thanks for your time in writing a nice reply, gave me some good info
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wallets on: December 06, 2013, 02:02:04 AM
Hello everyone, just a few questions

first gratz to the guy the bought the telsa for 59 bitcoins, which leads me to my next questions

how would one make his/her wallet the most secure? i have a wallet at blockchain 13qcDv7PtNsc97zW4hoDoWg6Y2K4gNyyvz, and i here stories about people being hacked? and keyloggers and such... And i here about keeping coins in a cloud, on hard drive, encrypting something, keeping a file in a safe deposit box?

If and when i get my first miner, is there a way i can make it so no withdraws can come from my wallet, unless i do it? or even have a delay on the withdraw, and have a text sent to my phone saying a withdraw is about to happen, and have to put the text "code" on the withdraw order or such?

thanks again for any advice

now i need to find a miner and want to keep price around 5k dollars, something easy i can just plug in and hit start, incase im not home and wife has to restart it or something

172  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best Pre-Order Option NOW on: December 04, 2013, 04:46:49 PM

will the

be good enough to pay for itself in feb? and what do you think the btc will be per day? .5 to 1? i think that i can afford to get one if it stays 6k
173  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / 1 TH/s on: December 04, 2013, 02:38:40 PM
is it even worth it to buy anything less then a 1th/s mining box now? it seams like it will take to long to pay off a box or card with anything less then a 1 th/s

any help would be nice, before i look at spending 5k or 10k plus on my first box

json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Here , Am i too late for bitcoin ? on: December 03, 2013, 12:52:54 PM
hi, just a quick question a lot of people are saying the other types of coins are worthless, but if it really doesnt cost much to mine them, and you do it 24/7 what do you have to lose if you just do it for a year, and hope one of the alt coins goes up?    Also, can the miners you buy, mine all the types of coins at once?
178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new box for me on: December 03, 2013, 12:21:53 PM
seems there are different types of miners i am finding out more every  hour, that stand alone that i was looking at first, now it seems pci cards? how do they differ?  also anyone have any luck mining from a laptop?
179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new box for me on: December 03, 2013, 10:19:29 AM
cool thanks for the link info on the bitcoin mining calculator.... seems if i put in 60 days from today like you sugested, it will take me about 21 to 22 days to start making a profit, thats not bad at all, seeing as i just have to keep it running....

any advice on when to cash in? i see a lot of post of people saying the been hacked and what not, why not just cash in every day or so?

thanks again

also thinking about trying to practice on my laptop, while i sit here in afganistan... to mine some, even .00001 would be fun to find hehe
180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new box for me on: December 03, 2013, 09:05:05 AM
