wow ! so devcoin would only need to go to a dollar and most of you guys on the list would be millionares.
I can tell you very honestly that I do not want Devcoin to be $1 tomorrow. I want it to be whatever its going to be worth on the basis of a thriving and large developer user base. I think the latter will take at least an additional 3 years of hard work while the coin stabilizes. I agree. I envision this being the standard for ethically based endeavors to emulate. I hope for devcoin and devtome to be industry stalwarts that stand the test of time, for it to be something my daughter, even her daughter, could benefit from as society reaps the benefits of open source projects. Anyone who was scared of hard work would have never became a writer or programmer in the first place |

I just had a look at the csv_file for round 31 and saw that I do not have any shares anymore for Devtome. However, after 1 share in round 30, I had built up about 6 shares (I think) for round 31 for Devtome writing. Has something gone wrong with parsing or am I missing something? http://d.evco.in/charity/devtome_31.csvThe receiver and account files show you as having a total of 7 shares so far for 31. Those 7 shares are for Testing Sidhujag Client (1 share) and Investment Plan (6 shares). The shares for Word Count are missing. I'm new to devtome, but I did notice that you had numerous warnings on the devtome warning txt in the charity file. I don't know if that affected your word count or not. |

Good morning all! I woke up to an unexpected surprise of a large DVC deposit that I have no idea who its from nor what its for. I have been mining DTC, with a cpu for about the same time with no problems, but once the coins are in the blockchain they are there forever, you are safe.

When I decided to jump into the BTC world, I did a massive amount of research and found that many people had problems with OKPAY. Next time I would suggest localbitcoins or if you are in the U.S., I had great service from cashintocoins. They charge about 3 %, but the service is amazing.

Is there any interest in a physical Devcoin?
I had considered this before but don't want to get stuck with an enormous inventory.
Once concept that is attractive to me: Two pieces, screw together, with cold storage inside in the amount of 10K. Comes in a transparent coin case with a protective security tape on the case.
Not committing to it yet, just gauging interest.
That is a very interesting concept, would love to see a mock up. I would definitely be interested. Papa |

Thanks so much for this faucet! I love it. I sent in my ID with signature during it being down and never got the 50 coins for the signature, but I'm not worried about it, I'm just glad DVC is getting some attention and love.

Let people first and foremost provide music for free (and get compensated in DVC), so other people can use that music for free in their projects.
It seems MarkM's point is being, largely, missed. If we are talking about free music then the authors of said music can simply release it to the public domain. That is not the same as Open Source. I may have missed something in the bounty, but I do not see where it has to be related to DVC or increasing the value of DVC. As a matter of fact, the bounty says "It could also be about investing in non cryptocoin assets, like silver or stocks". My article was 1000+ words, understandable, published on devtome, and is about group buying which I see as an investment club or "any other way to make money by investing", which is mentioned in the original bounty. All that being said, I 100% respect the decision of the admins as to whether or not the article meets the requirements of the bounties with no hard feelings I hope this did not come across as disrespectful, that is never, never my intention. Whoever runs this site: http://faucet.d.evco.in/You have some things to take care of. 1) One of the advertising blocks (the bottom one on the sidebar) keeps forwarding the browser to their site, making it nearly impossible to use the faucet without an ad block/"stopping" the page load before that javascript hits the browser 2) It's not moving forward to new rounds. It now shows almost 300 people signed up for the current round, and after you submit an address it just pops up the "Error! Add your Devtome ID to your signature" or whatever message; it's not even loading the sidebar/footer upon submit Thanks for the info. 1) I can't found anything wrong with the ads, could anyone other to confirm this ? 2) This has been solved. someone want to hack into the faucet and submit unusual data, and cause wrong status of the db. I just tried and it took me three times to stay on the page. The ad was bitcoinadvertisers. Thanks for the faucet! |
