DECENT celebrates yet another major milestone event, the 1st birthday of DCore!

Cheers!
One year annivesary for DCore!
By the way, I would like to know about Decent signature campaign because I saw you wear Decent's signature.
Please give me link to bounty topic (if available).

Congrants! Nice anniversary.

I don't think there is a campaign. He is from the team and therefore wearing one. The official signature campaign ended more than a year ago and I don't think there will be a new one any time soon. But they might share the signature just to wear it for free
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: July 08, 2018, 02:34:53 PM

I hope too. Please vote to have Dim added to coinpulse. We need voting more actively. More exchanges - more prices. DIMCOIN will be great  https://request.coinpulse.io/suggestions/13322/dimcoin-dim0.20

I think If investors help by voting then the coin can be listed for free on some sites rather than having the team pay to have it listed. But question - will investors voting? How many active investors now?

Sure it would be better for everyone if the coin would be listed for free on the exchanges. But mostly those exchanges listing coins for free are just some minor ones who try to attract new users. That's why  just a few people are voting for them  because they would need to sign up for the exchange just for voting. Therefore I think we should go with the free listing if possible but not pay for some unknown exchanges
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Movement | Fully Decentralized Organization | VR DAO on: July 08, 2018, 02:19:02 PM
One of the biggest advantages of decentralized exchanges is they don't delist tokens just for low volume. In life of each project come phases when they experience low liquidity and centralized exchanges don't show any support. Every positive thing which bring even smaller benefit to MVT should be welcomed and watched with optimism.

True. Since they do not rely on those fees it is "safer" for some coins with lower volume to not be delisted. On the other hand not a lot of people are using them. I would say a good mix between those exchanges are a good way to go. But right now I would be happy with some more liquidity

New update about NEM progress.

It ain't no joke these days.

This is just amazing. As already mentioned, I really love those updates. This should always be pinned to every channel possible.
Just take this for example:

NEM EU is finalizing a collaborative initiative with Geens 8, who will be developing their global ID on the NEM blockchain. The goal is to open source the tools to create W3C Verifiable Claims and provide an API with the Geens application for the benefit of the NEM ecosystem. More info will follow in the coming weeks. Geens - operating from Belgium - is a nonprofit membership organization that provides information technology services to individuals, governments, and businesses, governed by a legal and ethical data protection control. The platform lets the users save their private digital information securely and share the information with anybody else only on their own will and benefit.

This is something really cool and could get something really big

I'm making a tx to my huobi.pro account. but why does it take too long for the xem to be added into a block? It's already passed 3 hours now since tx creation and no confirmation yet. Is this normal?

No this is not normal. It normally is really quick and nearly instant if I transfer something through normal wallets
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: July 05, 2018, 07:03:14 AM

Thanks for the statement. Good to have some clarification.

The payout this time was only like 1/10th of the payout from earlier this year.
When the devs keep working and hybse will be a sucess than i hope for much bigger payouts in the next years  Smiley.

That's true. The amount of coins per token is pretty low. Hopefully that will increase in the future since it would help to have a certain ROI for holding the token to increase the price and interest

Most likely, that the era of rabid X-type x10-x100-x1000 has already gone and will not return. It's like with the Gold Rush and the Wild West. Who managed to be in the right place in the right place - he made a fortune for six months or a year. And whoever came later is a miserable crumb. With rigid regulation there are no super-earnings, especially for comrades such as bountyhunter and airdropschikov. ))

I still believe that those massive pump on dead coins might return if market turns to bull, maybe about Q4 of 2018.
Lets just hope that PoSToken wouldn't be delisted on CE before it happens.

On a side note, what happened to DOU? I heard its been sold.

As greed will most likely rise again in the next bull run, I am quite certain that the pump groups will again try to make some money on those dead coins. As long as people fall for that, there will be some people doing it

that's a junk shill website. The same article has been up for over a year, they just change the dates on it.

Really? Any rather good website that can read more about the XEM or other cryptocurrency? I am quite new in this crypto-world.

start with the official website nem.io and you can join telegram, follow on twitter  for example

is there any mobile application on android that allows the transfer of mosaics? Nem wallet and nempay do not allow it, nempay allows but only in the tesnet. Not in mainet

I don't know exactly but maybe the proximax wallet will be capable of doing so. I would guess that this will be one of the certain features as the new version of the wallet will be released

https://www.graft.network/2018/06/26/ico-airdrop-clarification/

ICO AIRDROP CLARIFICATION

Dear GRAFT Community,
We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the promise we made to the ICO participants to do an airdrop if the price doesn’t recover to the ICO level within nine months.

Why did we do it?
As you might imagine, we’ve never before carried out an ICO, less so an ICO based on a live mineable blockchain. As such, we came up with coin pricing based on what we assessed to be а fair market value (very conservatively at that, comparing to other similar projects). One thing we didn’t know was that the price of the coin would be immediately driven down by ASIC miners, creating a large disparity between the ICO and mining price levels. As project leads we felt compelled to make it right by the ICO participants and to rectify this situation.
Terms of the Airdrop
The following are the terms of the airdrop:
If the price of GRFT doesn’t recover to the ICO level (0.0000262 BTC) prior to November 18, 2018 (9 months from the end of the ICO) for a reasonable period of time (24 hours cumulative, according to CoinMarketCap), GRAFT project team will airdrop the difference in GRFTs to the ICO participants in good standing. The effective price at the time will be determined based on a 10 day moving average.

Example 1 ; October 20 GRFT price is 0.0000262 BTC or higher – no airdrop will take place

Example 2 : October 10-18 GRFT price avg 0.0000262 BTC or higher , no airdrop will take place

Example 3 : November 10-18 GRFT price avg 0.0000131 BTC , each ICO purchase of 1 GRFT will receive ONE additional GRFT via airdrop.

The effect of potential airdrop
The actual number of GRFT’s issued for the airdrop will depend on the price difference between the airdrop and the ICO price (in BTC). Currently, we estimate that no more than 50M GRFT’s are at stake. The funds will be provided from the undersold ICO funds, and since all the ICO funds were earmarked for circulation, should not result in an increase of the circulation supply.
Conclusion
We understand the controversial nature of this offer and value community’s opinions and feedbacks. We try to make decisions that are fair to all our supporters, while carrying on the mission of the project. Your support is highly appreciated and valued.
Best Regards,

GRAFT Team

Dear Team,

I have never felt compelled to register on this site and answer your Airdrop clarification as ever before. As a miner that supported your network with all my rig's hashpower, giving stability and security to your network and contributing to the blockchain record keeping; I honestly feel betrayed to hear that you are planning an airdrop to "ICO Investors!!??!!". I started mining your coin from the get go, including when your network was under attack right after the fork, I was bearing over $500 USD per month in electricity charges since January. Now, I could've spent that money to purchase the damn coin and subsequently benefit from a senseless airdrop!
There is always a risk when you make an investment of any sort and investors fully understand that including myself who invested in electricity and building minig rigs. If coin "buyers" are to benefit from an airdrop, there is nothing fairer than extending the courtesy to miners as well since I have just explained to you the extent of the miner's investment in your project.
I truly feel that the remaining ICO coins should be burnt as everyone understands the risks associated with cryptocurrency investments.
Kindly, rethink your announcement and do not dismiss Miner's input. Without miners you have NOTHING and if your network hashrate drops significantly, not only you will suffer from 51% attacks and the further fragmentation of your blockchain, but you will also loose credibility since your network will not have any support!

Warm Regards,
Miner
Agree with you. I mine and buy about 50K graft. But nothing for me as air drop. I still keep 50K and this will be more in near future.
It is totally inequal for all kind of investors.

Graft Team,

Please answer the above concerns, I would like to hear it from you first hand!

Regards,
Miner

Miner.

We appreciate your support and we had not intent to make you or anyone else feeling betrayed.
The team have committed to the airdrop  ( a few weeks from he end of ICO) .
Although the current airdrop terms might not in your personal favor we will follow through with our commitments to the community.

We will follow through with our commitment to ICO investors.

Dear Team,

Thank you very much for your direct and honest answer. Your support for ICO Investors over miners is loud and clear and remember, ICO investor already spent their money and there isn't much more they can do whereas miners continue to support your network and there is a lot they can still do. I was so exited about the concept and the idea that I was considering taking GRFT as a payment for my consulting services and advertise it on my website.  I am sadly going to stop minig your coin as I do not agree with your actions. Good luck to all!

Regards,
Former Miner

The way you are wording it is worded in such a way. Its basicly making it look like they have to choose between miners and and ICO Investors instead of allowing them to choose both.

ICO Investor spends 500 usd gets 1500 graft
You say you got 50k In earlier posts from mining for 6 months spending about 3 grand in electricty. If you spent that on graft during ICO you would have 9k graft.
I have no doubt you would be on the opposite side complaining.

If the ICO Investors had outright bought 50k graft they would have to have spent 50,000totalgraft/1500graftpurchase = (33.33purchasesx500usd) for a total of 16,667 usd

16,667 usd where you only spent 3k in electricty to mine 50k.

Now under normal circumstances I would say this was a risk to investors they chose to take.
However, ASICS hit at the same time Tradeogre NINJA LAUNCHED which means that  the ICO price of around 30 cents fell to 3 cents Literally off just a handful of trades!

This made the 500 usd of 1500 graft worth about  1500x0.03cents= 45 dollars....

So where you spend 500 dollars in one month and recieved probably the bulk of your 50k  at  least 1/6 of it..    those that spent 500 usd now have 45 dollars.... worht of graft...

So yes I see nothing wrong airdropping it back up to 500 USD from 45 USD worth of graft because they bought 500 USD worth of graft and the next day it was 45 usd.

Couple that with this.. what if they would have sold at ICO 3 cents to begin with  then 500 USD would have been provided the same amount of graft they have determined they will airdrop to bring up to ICO price anyway.  If they would have sold 500 usd at 3 cents each they would have recieved  16,666 graft instead of 1500 graft.  and we wouldnt be having this conversation right now!

Now lets throw those numbers into the network we have now at 20 megahash and a price 0.01518 USD each graft... then with 1 kilo hash the average price of v7 coins is

1. Citadel (Rp. 14924) ($1.07)
2. IntenseCoin (Rp. 14042) ($1.00)
3. Stellite (Rp. 13006) ($0.93)
4. Electrodump (Rp. 12908) ($0.92)
5. Graft (Rp. 12852) ($0.92)
6. MoneroV (Rp. 12670) ($0.91)
7. Monero (Rp. 12558) ($0.90)
8. Elya (Rp. 11298) ($0.81)

Which means graft is well within its price point for the network difficulty at current price. Which means if you were mining graft you didn't lose any money if you chose not to mine something else and continued on graft... as sometimes it was 1.07 other times 80 cents per kilohash per hour.

.

They were not wronged by graft but graft is making up for it. No one wants graft to succeed more then the GRAFT TEAM itself I think. They are hte ones who have the entire project to lose.. as of now you miners are way ahead of the ICO investors.. THE ICO INVESTORS made this project a reality. This team isnt just forking a coin they are making NEW CODE for RTA. Therefore alot of time seems to have been spent toward it.

The Point is that ICO INVESTORS  had 500 usd for 1500 graft for what equated at the time to 45 dollars.
Miners could spend 500 in electricity in January and get practically 10x that,
if you look at the math.. there fore bringing them from 3 cents to 30 cents.. is what 10x

IF the miners could spend 500 in electricity and get 15,000 graft the first month... why is it fair for the ICO investors to spend 500 and get 1500 Coins.. 3cents to 30 cents

This allows for 500 in electircyt for 15,000 graft the first month to miners
Ico investors spend 500 and get 15,000 graft in ICO.

I get your concerns but as of now miners recieved far more graft then ICO investors in electricy costs vs ICO purchase
The math adds up.

EVen still this doesnt factor in.... the fact that graft is gonna be closer to ICO price anyway in 3 months. So if they are 25 cents of 30 cents.. they are only gonna get a small amount.
An airdrop is usually free coins. This isnt giving anything past the initial purchase price they paid in usd measured in BTC.

Basicly graft was saying had we known it was 3 cents we would have given 10x as much graft per 500 usd.. which would have made it equal to what the miners spending 500 in electricty made.  I have no doubt  you made at least 15k in the first month of mining out of the 50k you had.

Good post .

Very interesting sum up. On the one hand I am happy that the team stands to their word and will commit the airdrop if necessary even though I never heard about that before. On the other hand it might not help the project in any way since the airdropped coins may just be dumped on the market since there is a lot of frustration. I hope that the team has some good news and some announcements coming till the date of the airdrop putting the whole topic to sleep easily. That would be the best for everyone interested in the project

172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: July 03, 2018, 10:30:39 AM
Hi guys,
a week ago or so, I red that the new website is in the making.
Now I thought that I may share my humble opinion (not requesting anything) on crypto-websites in general.
Most of them contain a lot of blah-blah and fancy pictures, saying basically nothing... eye candy without any value.
In order to stand out from all those fancy ICO presentations, I would personally love to see an extremely simple and clean website, sparing out all the useless eye-candy.

(Like years ago, Google was the search engine with the simplest design - no eye-candy, nothing that distracted the user...)

What's your (@all Elastic fans) opinion on that matter?

Content is important obviously, but visuals too.
These 2 websites have nice balance imo, don't they?
https://xel.org
https://xeline.org

(This one http://elastic.pw/ looks abandoned, and just forwards to xel.org hub.)

As far as I understand, xeline.org is more like a fan page. Not the official web site.
It's a very nice fan page but for the official web site, for my taste, it would be better not to use blue text on dark blue background and not to put a big generic picture that says nothing on the first page.

I didn't know about xel.org up until now, but there are to many bright colors for my taste (it hurts my eyes).
It's only my personal taste, but I like very simple designs without (or, at least, less aggressive) colors. I think that a more "scientific" style would also fit perfectly to the Elastic project.

I am aware that this is merely a matter of taste. Therefore more opinions would be great  Wink

Well since the project is really decentralized without any real leader, the webpages are most probably both community driven and everyone is doing their best to support the project in their way. I really appreciate both and can't wait to see some proposed functions added

Does this project have any prospects at all? Why have not normal exchanges been added for half a year? As far as I remember, the project collected good money. However, they regretted the money for listing? Or the reason in what that the friend?

I heard, they just have a problem with official ICO and crypto regulation in Japan - like all the crypto there,
and trying set up paperwork first. I believe, after the complete of paperwork, Comsa slowly starting growing
with exchanges, marketing e t c.

I wonder how the recent development regarding tech bureau will effect comsa.

174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: July 03, 2018, 10:18:58 AM
Can anyone tell about the distribution of the Sky? How many coins does the Synth have, how many undistributed, whether there will be any drops, sales, etc.
I read the blog on the sky site with distribution tag, but it's not clear for me.

Synth and other core devs of the project may have custody of undistributed Skycoins, though they do not own them. It is not legal in any country to embezzle funds owned by the Skycoin foundation to use for personal gains. These laws are enforceable.

Skycoin uses a novel distribution scheme that i will explain below, and direct you to a fine article that presents another perspective on the matter.

Conventional cryptocurrency distribution will involve ICOs, airdrops, or block rewards. ICOs and airdrops tend to occur over a very short time period and participation ends up being very exclusive. On the other hand, Block rewards are paid out to those who participate in a given consensus algorithm. The behavior of consensus node operators becomes focused around receiving the block reward. This leads to fierce competition, raising the barrier to entry, and/or the formation of mining pools, which act as cartels. These conventional distribution systems have demonstrated a tendency to contribute to the centralization of coin supply, destructive exploitation of policy (ex. spamming transactions to inflate fees.), and development-inhibiting influence over the consensus algorithm.

Why dont DEV'S think about a better way to distribute coins? Then the markets wouldn't end up in a mess.

So for example they always say there's just no fair way to distribute coins/tokens because there's always whales that want to get in on the project early and so they buy up a shit load of coins/tokens at the issue price which is really cheap, then the whales end up controlling the market, because they are the only ones who can dump a shit tone of coins and watch the price drop.

Cannot a solution to this problem be:

BUY LIMIT to how many coins/tokens can be purchased by an individual.

example: max purchase 10,000 SKY per person per MONTH.

Possible or impossible?

Unfortunately there is no way to ensure that markets do not end up in a mess. The whales already exist and they will exert their influence on all markets they can. The only way to inhibit the whales is to establish a strong intrinsic value for a coin through application of the coin within a thriving ecosystem, while at the same time making it impossible for whales to buy up enough coins to control the market over the long run. You cannot depend on the general public to have strong hands in the short term. They will be spooked by every FUD, obediently transferring their wealth to the hungry whales at the drop of a hat.

Skycoin is limiting the number of coins that can be obtained via distribution by locking up the undistributed coins and slowly releasing them over a matter of decades. All undistributed coins are owned by the Skycoin foundation. A foundation is a type of organization, a legal entity, where unlike a corporation, there are no shareholders. The foundation owns itself. The current supply of Skycoin includes 9 million in circulation, and 16 million undistributed. 75 million Skycoin are not yet available for distribution, and will only be released under strict conditions and at a dramatically slowing pace as a percentage of circulating coins.

The distribution plan boils down to:
1. No additional Skycoins become available until the initial 25 million have gone into circulation.
2. No additional Skycoins become available until all undistributed coins have gone into circulation.
3. After the first 25 million, 5 million coins at a time are unlocked and made available for distribution.
4. Batches of 5 million Skycoins can be unlocked and made available at a rate of no more than once per year.

Here is an excellent article by Christian Ott, with infographics and annotations, explaining the history of Skycoin distribution, how it will work in the future, and expressing his concerns . It should be noted that the current automated OTC teller is provided by CryptoWolf, and is OTC passthrough, meaning that only coins already on the market are made available. As of now, no further OTC distribution of Skycoin is planned for the future.  Also, the amount of Skycoin subsidizing Skywire infrastructure and used in coinhour buyback will need to be sufficient to support growth of the infrastructure, it will be adjusted over time to ensure this. Skywire is not the only Skycoin incentivized application that is being developed, and it can be expected that much of the distribution going forward will be to support these vital projects.
https://christianott.co/skycoin_distribution_en/

Thanks for the very detailed explanation of the distribution scheme. I have to agree that it does not get very clear in other sources and this can lead to some confusion or even FUD.

xem in Bithumb $0.301054  but in other exchanges 0.21 cent! why?

Probably a higher demand then there is supply on that particular exchange.

It can also still be the result of the recent hackings and a lack of trust in the exchange / not being able to withdraw certain funds.

The trading on bithumb or other korean exchanges are quite restrictive for non citizen if I remember right. That's why it is mostly some kind of closed eco system. It was nearly the same in the last pump with those exchanges mostly excluded from the price

why is wallet 2.3.0 not available packaged for windows, osx and linux? there's only the web-only version

You can download the universal client by clicking on the link instead of one of the packages for a single OS (I know this is badly done to be honest)

And the vision is one of the best the devs are working all the time to realize it

absolutely. It is rewritten in scratch for the second time and the proposed function address many of the problems current blockchains have.

Link to Discord Channel isn't working Huh Huh

Is there a workable one  Huh

I don't know what link are you using.

The one under the community section in the elix website ( https://www.elixirtoken.io/ ) seems working to me now.

seems to be working for me too. Discord is always great to follow projects. Nice as always to see the updates from dev-site!

Will there be some official stats or statement with official referrals etc? would be cool to know
