161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY] Ripple: $1,000 / $5 USD per wallet on: January 10, 2014, 04:18:49 AM
From what I understand here ( https://support.ripplelabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/200916587-Understanding-trust-lines)  is he isn't giving you any money.

But saying he will and can re-nig on it if he wants.

Trust granted to BitStamp. To the poster who said it smells like a scam, it isn't. Bitstamp is trustworthy. You can always go in and reduce the trust to 0 if it makes you comfortable later.

I didn't mean to imply it was a scam, I said it SEEMS like a scam. I trusted him..got the 5 bucks, but how do i untrust and withdraw or touch the 5$.

I trusted rvYAfWj5gh67oV6fW32ZzP3Aw4Eubs59B is that bitstamp..if not how do you trust bitstamp
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ripple Computingforgood.org giveaway...? on: January 10, 2014, 04:11:04 AM
I saw this and was wondering WTF it is and if they are paying people good money for this..

https://support.ripplelabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/201082577-Current-Ripple-Labs-giveaways

If you read the post on the page it seems their are not paying people anything.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY] Ripple: $1,000 / $5 USD per wallet on: January 10, 2014, 04:02:26 AM
This seems like a scam...

READ THIS...

https://support.ripplelabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/200916587-Understanding-trust-lines

It seems you aren't getting any money, but he is extending 5 dollars in credit that you can't touch or withdraw.. and you won't be able to remove the trust line in which he can withdraw 5$ from your account

I might be misunderstanding, so any info would help
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY] Ripple: $1,000 / $5 USD per wallet on: January 10, 2014, 03:56:07 AM
after you give us 5 we can't convert the 5 or withdraw it. why?
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY] Ripple: $1,000 / $5 USD per wallet on: January 10, 2014, 03:52:54 AM
how do you remove the trust?

aren't you just loaning the 5 and can withdraw it since you are trusted for 5?

1. check out your ROI use this > alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator
2. yes you will make BTC when mining
3. look at number 1

do a lot of research before you invest of you will get RIPPED. The usb miners are worthless do not buy them unless they are like 5 cents each.

172  Local / India / Re: Overstock.com Partners With Coinbase And Starts Accepting Bitcoins As Payment on: January 09, 2014, 10:34:53 PM
imo btc will never be accepted mainstream until there is some protections, like cash affords us.

like a way to get people from defrauding you or stealing your wallet.

ya ya ya ...escrow...but I don't have to do escrow with my cash. You steal my money or don't deliver I have recourse with cash.

thoughts...?
173  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overstock is accepting Bitcoin today on: January 09, 2014, 10:32:25 PM
why would you care if OVERPRICED.com is accepting BTC?

Good job and nice work, why not monetize your efforts.

The good news is the kids have access to their parents pocket books.

You could charge to help them, set things up and even sell them mining hardware. Also help them using current hardware to mine alt coin.
179  Other / Meta / Image proxy? on: January 09, 2014, 07:43:51 PM

180  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 2600kh scrypt mining rig on: January 09, 2014, 07:38:01 PM
I'm getting 2.1 mh/s from three r9 cards and I put it all in a server case. no custom building case. anyone else doing this?
i enquire pictures of this

My rig gets 2.1 - 2.5 mh/s with three r9 cards. I have one removed right now until a riser comes so I can extend it out some to help with heat passing from one card to the next.
- Liquid Cooled processor
- 16 gb ram
- 8 core processor
- 3 r9 cards
- 6 fans
- 1000 watt, smart psu
- 1 gigabit network connection
- dvd / cd burner / player
- top of case has LED lights that you can change colors and blink style
I'd be willing to sell for BTC if the offer was right, we could use escrow from trusted forum member - I paid 3k for all the parts
