Both will survive in the long run because it seems to me that the blockchain and bitcoin are not mutually exclusive.

I agree we contribute to the unstable position of the market by doing so many things wrongly.
Like spreading fud and unfounded rumours about the market.
Panic dumping our coins at a miserable low price far beyond the rate we bought even, thereby causing unnecessary price rift and dump from others.

It's not surprising that some people are worried over the new turn of events as regards the price of Bitcoin.
Though there concerns are legit because we have never seen the market this unstable for almost a year now.
But those who understand how this market works know that this is just the early developmental stage and so there is no cause for alarm.

Can the volatile nature of Cryptocurrency be fixed? Honestly, I do not think that it's a possibility consisdering the decentralized structure of Cryptocurrency.

I think in the event of a global economic crash, Bitcoin price would be affected negatively as most investors and traders would be cash trapped and so wouldn't have enough cash to put into Bitcoin trade.
This means demand for Bitcoin would decrease while supply would be excess, leading to price tank.

The reason sone people think that Bitcoin is worthless could be that they are judging the usefulness of bitcoin today and not judging based on the future.
Some also are of the opinion that Bitcoin is scam and so see it to be a worthless piece of "metal"
