I must have missed something too.. dodgey about what?? Maybe its just in my area, but everyone I know has android based phones lol. Very few apple or windows. I'm worried a web wallet might be a huge security risk, although android might not be much better.  Web wallet would be more accessible across all phones though. |

I received the bumper stickers I ordered.
But I'm hesitant on placing them on the semi's yet, till maybe we can get a more "mobile" wallet solution going.
It was a main concern from a lot of people I talked to in the field.
- not so much the staking part, but just simply to be able to send & receive coins on phone.
I'll put them on, its just... I don't know if its the wisest thing to do this moment.

A staking wallet requires a full blockchain, which the android applications cannot have. They don't have sufficient storage facility in most instances. So what would need to be done is a "thin" client that can send the stake to the proper addresses. This should be doable. I don't have the skill, but it would seem that this should be possible with some tweaking of existing software such as multibit or electrum. The client would have to have a way to set the staking address and block to it's own private keys while maintaining the blockchain on a public server.
If it could be done, it would be an interesting and useful application for ANY staking coin, as it would allow staking to be taking place all the time, even if the thin client were not currently active. Any of you smart people out there interested in taking on such a project? Or do any of you know of such a project already having been done that we could fork?
Doesn't vericoin have some kind of mobile wallet we could fork? VeriSMS functions as text-based gateway and wallet system that links the cell network to the VeriCoin network. VeriCoin users can load VeriCoins onto this wallet and use the SMS network to make transactions around the world. VeriBit makes it possible to spend VeriCoin wherever BitCoin is accepted. Besides BitCoin itself, VeriCoin is the most spendable digital currency directly from the wallet. Those features would be nice for now, imo. I thought they have a mobile wallet that can stake.. but maybe I'm wrong. Even without staking ability would be a nice start  I think it should be somehow separated where u only Stake the "cold" wallet. Would be nice for now, just to have some way of easily sending / receiving coins via phone (web). |

Hello, I need the file boostrap.dat, I downloaded from the link at OP but is only 260,839 blocks.
Sometimes you need restart the wallet, and make sure that "bootstrap.dat" is named bootstrap.dat It gets stuck.. just have to close wallet, rename back to "bootstrap.dat" instead of ".old" then start the wallet again. |

Make the first one the back, and the third the front, but off center on the upper left, and it looks like a uniform. I don't have the art skillz to mock it up, but I think that would be very cool looking.
EDIT: make the front one smaller, by about half, to achieve the effect I'm talking about.
I think that effect would be cool also, I'll try to make one like that available for people too. Have the "uniform" shirts for people who maybe work shows.. I guess its all personal choice and if we provide a couple different shirts for people to pick from, then they can just pick what they want. Have you looked at cafepress? I don't know that they are or are not a good deal, but it's a way to get it out there with little to nothing out of pocket. Not good enough for shows and shit, like you're talking, but something you could link back to the website, etc. Set up a cafepress shop ? Thanks! I'll look into it  |

Well, went to the show and one of the things that kept being brought up was "is there some way to do it on your phone?" I told them an android version (most seemed to have android based phones) could possibly be in the works, as I've seen it for other coins. So maybe we could get this ability? Some of these guys put a lot of money into their trucks!   |

Personally I like the first one better - it's more informative and site url is easy to read. For a shirt maybe it's better to re-arrange it like this - (it's not a gold color just because i made it quick from my template, gold looks better for a shirt) Thanks! Too crowded/noisy for the first one IMO. Second one, I would take off the white frame and move it down a bit (10-15px?). Maybe the text could be blown up a smidgen, while maintaining the ratio it has now. Also, changing 'PoS' to 'Interest' or '200% Interest' would be good. Pretty sure "pos" more likely means 'piece of shit' to laymen  Great job&efforts man! There I edited them a bit, thanks for the input! Any better? |

If you can find out a way to get a Truck Stop chain to give out Truckcoins in place of or in addition to their own branded rewards program points , then truckers will use them like they are going out of style. I don't know how easy it would be to get already branded rewards to switch over, might be difficult. If we could create TRK's own rewards program and others see the benefit of the currency portion, it might be possible. Just my opinion. |

I'm trying to come up with a general outline of a pitch or way of doing things to some of truckers I don't personally know..
1. Introduce self.. be professional and/or mix of professional & redneck-ish if they seem like that more.. talk some random stuff of interest...
2. Maybe bring up about are they pissed about how things are, with economy and banks (most truckers are pissed about something - try to hit on whatever it is - lead it into talk about economy problems, gov, etc.. )
3. Ask if they've heard of Bitcoin - odd chance that maybe some have and you won't have to explain crypto currency as much. If not, well you're going to have to briefly try to explain things as best you can!
4. Bring up how TruckCoin is similar but more tailored to their needs - maybe mention about how in the future they can buy truck parts with it & we're working on trying to integrate into stores they may use. You could also bring up the whole - its a decentralized currency made "by the people, for the people" (USA freedom stuff) too.
5. Give the card and a sticker, hopefully they'll agree with it and you'll see it goin' on down the highway!
I encourage others to try the same or similar method as you see fit, if you go to any truck events/shows or simply want to talk to people.

I'm keepin my fingers crossed that I can get some business cards made by Saturday, for a Truck show.
Unfortunately I won't have the stickers to hand out.. but at least maybe I can get cards out and talk to people.
About the donation stuff, honestly it would be nice but its more about principle (having a more adopted coin for the people) with me.
It would help, but screw it - I'm going to try regardless!!
