161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WOLF] InsanityCoin - coin for investors and traders on: February 28, 2014, 05:39:42 PM
Pot update?

~55.5 (still with 25-30 pending)
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WOLF] InsanityCoin - coin for investors and traders on: February 28, 2014, 03:46:06 PM
If this has 0 mining fees and tx fees then who is going to continue to mine this once the 9 weeks is over?

After about 5 weeks we will start voting as a community on which model to move to at the 9 week mark. Options include, but are not limited to: reduced or fixed transaction fees with a percentage going to miners, a small block reward (say 0.25 wolf), or a mixture of approaches. More discussion on this is further back in the ann.

all pm's responded to, and pending wolf sent
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WOLF] InsanityCoin - coin for investors and traders on: February 28, 2014, 07:10:49 AM
Do note that a full BTC pot would currently buy everything up to 0.2, a 19900% profit for the person at the top (if I bought up the book).

How do you calculate this? Is there any trading software that could be linked to Poloniex?

Go to https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_wolf and click the sell orders until you see the total under buy wolf hit 100 btc

i think chinese buying pressure is too much to reliably short. i will watch closely. i doubt more than -10% change within an hour unless news hits.

I like how you edited it from -5% to -10% lol.

maybe he knows something!

I'd like to see the source - I know HaXe rather well.

clarification: my interest is purely technical and sceptical
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can someone explain how the price is so stable all of a sudden? on: February 28, 2014, 05:41:00 AM
Why would the removal of the most unstable part of something not help it stabilize?

Because Gox isn't (wasn't) the reason for Bitcoin volatility. Volatility is caused by inexperienced traders and low liquidity.

hmmm, I agree of course, but several months worth of scare stories of people not receiving withdraws, money stopped, etc.. I do believe we noticed the price change just a little when each of those events happened, yes?

Is the dev putting up the buy wall that exists at 0.002 BTC? Just curious so I can do my research before this weekend.

I don't think so. As far as I'm aware the dev isn't trading during the week, doing so would alter the rules would it not (aside from selling at 0.001 which would be fair enough)?

Not trading but putting up buy walls to scare people into selling low. He knows 0.002 won't get bought, he just wants us to think that's the most we'll get. If the wall comes down right before show time on Sunday then I bet it's him.

No, I have no WOLF at all on Poloniex, all wolf acquired last week has already been destroyed. That is another pack member either with a legit buy "wall" (LOL), who is either looking to sell at that price, or is trying to push others down in order to buy it in the pre-pump themselves. Do note that a full BTC pot would currently buy everything up to 0.2, a 19900% profit for the person at the top (if I bought up the book).

Starting a coin competition that was inspired by InsanityCoin, but the premise is completely different. Please give it a look, similar to the way a poker tournament works, but with Cryptos.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=490962.0

Thanks, a great name and I wish you and your players the best of luck - may check it out myself (disclaimer, I haven't had time to read it yet, but I will).

is there a minimum buy in this seems fun ?

Yes, a 2 WOLF minimum order, purely because there's a 1 WOLF minimum fee in the protocol for now.

For Transparency
A kind user wished to check over last weeks insanity sunday results, for transparency here is the conversation and details in full.

Regarding your post 492...end of week 1 result.

Can you provide a copy of 'your trade history' from Poloniex.

yeah provided to everyone publicly, check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=471166.msg5323853#msg5323853
see the results section. trade list csv link.. all there, and it's a copy of "your trade history" from poloniex, every bit of btc and wolf accounted for, do verify Smiley

That is not a copy of 'your trade history' as i want the exact copy of how it looks on screen. Anyone can create a spreadsheet.

What are the buys from 19th to 21st?

If you had 78.89644994 BTC from those who bought at .001, how come there's 91.60013635 BTC from 18.01pm to 19.45pm?

Where are the sell list?

Thank you for taking the time to check everything you properly, it's much appreciated.

As requested here are screenshots from my trade history at Poloniex: http://imgur.com/a/AqCDB If you have any doubts at all please ask Poloniex support to verify (although please don't waste his time). Also, note that on page 4 you'll see some redacted trades, these were my own personal trades, on a different currency, from before the WOLF project began.

Up until the first insanity sunday there was a BTC order at 0.0009 then 0.001 on poloniex, in case anybody needed "out" due to personal circumstance: see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=471166.msg5274443#msg5274443

Finally, there were 3 sell trades for circa 6 BTC, you'll see them in the CSV and the screenshots. I'm afraid you've missed them when you were totalling up, which is how you came to the incorrect 91.6 figure.

I trust that clarifies everything, best regards!

mini update
BTC Pot stands at just under 53 BTC, with another 25-30 being discussed which should hit before sunday. I expect the pot to be full by Sunday.

If you're waiting on a PM reply, or WOLF delivery, you'll have them within the next 30 minutes.

Best Regards to you all.
169  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: VSC VisaCoin 100 BTC+ Scam [Identity] on: February 27, 2014, 08:38:44 PM
screenshot please not a copy of conversations , your post seems a lot like vsc, i exchange a lot of messages with him before he ran away.

Can you please provide those mail headers, and all the emails to insanity dev?

public please, so everybody can check. I am a neutral party trying to help, and others may spot something I miss.
170  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: VSC VisaCoin 100 BTC+ Scam [Identity] on: February 27, 2014, 08:11:59 PM
I downloaded a copy of the so-called visacoin whitepaper before it was taken down. It's absolute gibberish, but if it's of any use I can host it somewhere.

please do!
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SWITCH]SwitchCoin - RARE - Coin for Investors and Traders on: February 27, 2014, 07:53:11 PM
First, it's a blatant clone of my own coin, and secondly the user has offered zero transparency on who he is, unlike myself where several highly trusted & respected members have all my personal details and are ready to release them should I step out of line.

However, copying ideas is fine, it gives credit, thank you - and people are free to invest where they like.. there is no evidence this is, or is not, a scam.

Still multiple steps could be taken to limit liability of coin loss, none of which have been taken by this developer.
172  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: VSC VisaCoin 100 BTC+ Scam [Identity] on: February 27, 2014, 03:16:30 PM
Raj is helping me, providing as much information as he can. He is certainly doing more than any of the people who were scammed to be honest.

I am moving to compile information from multiple scams together, because I am quite sure there are one or two people behind most of them, they will have slipped up somewhere.

This is a community of technical excellence, with members in many fields and at many services who these scammers must be using. Hopefully we will find them, but you, the scammed, also need to get information too.. maybe you have an alternative name or contact email for a scammer, an ip address somewhere, maybe you got them to look at a link on your server, etc. Think hard.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WOLF] InsanityCoin - coin for investors and traders on: February 27, 2014, 02:57:21 PM
flo_k, it simply means that if I say in advance that I will be placing one order only on insanity sunday (an order which would fill the first 100 BTC of sell orders), then there is only really one strategy available to you wolves. This is why I mix things up each week

mini update
Caught up on orders that came in over night. Bounties to maintainers Pompobit and thesamson paid, thanks again for the great work compiling the QTs.

BTC Pot is at 40.5, with another 25-30 pending from a longer term investor.

Online from here on bitcointalk, email, twitter (@CoinInsanity)

when you say longer term investor do you mean a sit and holder? because 25k - 30k missing from the trading scene could make interesting scenarios on sunday lol

yes, others are already holding, and one investor also taking a further 5000 per week. 25%+ of all WOLF sold is being held longer term (more than 9 weeks), this percentage will go up I'm sure.

Developer Feedback:

I honestly expected to be getting 25%-30% back with an average price of 0.003 / max 0.005 today. I was pleasantly surprised I managed significantly better.

I was amazed that people kept making each others bids cheaper. I thought most would have realised that if one person decides to go lower the best thing you can do is go higher, then they are left by themselves with no support.  I made this clear through the week, yet still everybody went lower even with additional BTC in the pre-pump, and a known pot of almost 80 BTC coming in minutes or hours.

For wolf and the pack long term, the most efficient model is "free wolf", buy 100, sell 50 for original investment = 50 free wolf, this forces exponential purchase of wolf, the faster it runs out, the faster it's a normal market with guaranteed bumps and no fixed supply available. This also maximises profit long term for the individual.
Mid way is as above but with reinvestment in to wolf, driving your overall purchase price down and wolf balance up ( 100+( 50*8 ) = 500 WOLF for 0.1 BTC with a value of 0.5 BTC, 400% profit over base, real profit probably xxxx%).
Short term and the lowest profit, but most guaranteed on a per week basis is the individual strategy sell everything each week for btc profit. This still benefits the pack as it's destroyed, lowering the coins in circulation making each single wolf worth more, but does reduce every bodies profit overall, most significantly the one with this individual strategy.

This is the only week I'll give feedback, various strategies have been discussed in my previous posts.

Other Updates

Thanks! Problem is half of the time I can't post (some kind of error message), so most of the times I just don't bother trying any more to answer. But I read every single page of the forum Smiley

glad to hear it, twitter is active now I'll put important updates through that. Also domain insanitycoin.com was registered and website will be under development from tomorrow
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WOLF] InsanityCoin - coin for investors and traders on: February 26, 2014, 07:25:19 PM
good, now let's create subreddit http://www.reddit.com/r/InsanityCoin
that address not exist now, take it Smiley

I'd rather the community did reddit/irc if they are so inclined, or else where Smiley feel free to start and moderate it

grabbing insanitycoin.com

what do we think of "wolfproject.org" for a general site encompassing the project?
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WOLF] InsanityCoin - coin for investors and traders on: February 26, 2014, 05:32:35 PM
Yes to sending 200 WOLF to Pompobit. Perhaps Togami should give him a call...
Yes on 200 sent to thesamson as well.

ANN thread is good as long as the most important info is kept up to date in the OP.
Agree with BlackMarket except I'd put website at #3. Blog, not needed.

East investors can only add to the insanity! Smiley

thanks kimosan, opting for twitter (active https://twitter.com/CoinInsanity ) + website (developing)

As a community, is this ann thread enough to keep up to date with Insanity Coin? If not what community resources would you like? (twitter, subreddit, website, blog, all of the above?)
3.Twitter

Twitter done, I'll keep it active and post all updates through there: https://twitter.com/CoinInsanity

pot sitting just under 30, with 25 pending
