162  Economy / Service Announcements / [WTS]MinerEU.com G-Balde new price $960 + Free shipping per Gridseed G-Blade on: May 05, 2014, 08:04:21 PM
Guys, we noticed the market has been moving fast  Wink

https://minereu.com
Always happy to answer your emails contactus@minereu.com

Gridseed has offered a new price model to us and we want to share it with you.
We are going with 960 USD + Free shipping .

For customers who are not in Europe, we have a new partner https://justasic.com who will be fulfilling orders in none EU regions. If you are in US or Canada, please order from them. They have our supply and we allow them to use our warehouse in mainland China for faster turn over.

JustAsic was one of the low cost distributors and they approached us this time and wanted to help us serving the none EU market.

We noticed a lot of questions regarding the new product from other vendors.  I also want to share some info with everyone on the current market.

We noticed a lot of vendors has started to sell pre-orders on a different miner. Our info tells us that :
The miners from Hashra and GAWminers are very likely to be using Zeus's chip, Zeus's chip is 55nm chip.
Their chip is out and can be ordered from Zeus.  the Miners are either Zeus's module or they are manufactured by respective vendors themselves.

What we want to say is that manufactures like Hashra and GAWminers  will try their best to make sure the delivery date is met and your orders will be dispatched on time. this is not only good for themselves but good for everyone in the market.

However, Pre-order means there are certain things that has not been ironed out, when you choose a pre-order, you basically has choose to take that risk with manufacture. i.e. if PCB panel got issues, if there are overheating issues and you are sharing that risk with manufacture, in return you will get a lower price.

We have no intention to further  comment on this. We wanted to remind you there are always risks in pre-order and we are always try to avoid pre-order.

Just like the all around A2 product.  If you are looking at A2, should we say we have got A2 last week and has been testing it to see how it performs and if it is stable etc.
How much power does it draw exactly ? how much you can realistically overlock ?

We are pleased that we have got all the answers we needed, and we are ready to come to the market.

The initial batch of A2 miner is very limited, that is why no matter who is selling, it is very likely they will go to some bulk buyers, if your order is less than 20-30, the chances that you get your order delivered this month (May) is not very high.
https://minereu.com/product/a2miner/ and we promise the orders we took will be delivered and we admit we do not have a lot of them in stock.

163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: $/MHS for Asic Miners is finally coming down on: May 05, 2014, 12:56:40 PM
Must admit what you said are in theory true.

but , please don't forget about the risks on pre-orders. most of the times, the manufacture strive to make the date, but it is not their call and sometime it is just tough shit, not anyone's fault. supply chain issue, unexpected problem with PCB board etc.

KnC is famous and kept their promise before, we don't even know if they will be able to keep their promise this time , but you don't think any of these smaller miner companies will be able to do that right?

I hope i only provide some useful infomation. if you feel it is a chance you should take, then, yes, by all means.

Gridseed has signed an exclusive contract with innosilicon to produce and distribute A2 ASIC chips and miners globally.

The advanced 28nm Scrypt ASIC A2 has 1.6-1.8MHs and 10W power consumption on each chip. With a 1000KW PSU and client fans, a new A2 based miner can potentially achieve 150MHs, ideal for mining farms. (the current G-Blade miner is around 5.2MHs)

You may have heard rumours about the new 28nm scrypt ASIC chip - A2

The A2 chip is developed by innosilicon's teams based in Silicon valley and China.

The global exclusive contract with Gridseed, the first Scrypt ASIC chip manufacture in the world, means the two advanced ASIC producers will be able to provide better products and services for our mining community.

MinerEU.com will start distributing the A2 based prototype G-BOX to very limited customers (mainly mining farms) from next week.
MinerEU will also announce promotion on G-Blade soon.

My order of 100 gridseeds turned up Tuesday. I opened one box after ebaying a few, hmm, look a bit dusty. Have they been running them while waiting to sell them?

Tonight, I opened a second box.

Guess what?

The fan brackets were rusty!  Shocked

Many from that box also have scrape marks on the base of the heatsink. These ones are silver with very bright LEDs. I have two boxes of the ratty silver ones, One box has rusty fan brackets, the other one seemed ok rustwise, if not scrapewise, but I only looked at 10. I also have 3 boxes of gold ones that look new but slightly dusty.

How the fuck am I supposed to sell rusty and scraped gridseeds as new?

I am so glad I'm a paranoid person who checks things aren't DOA and gets the serial number before sending out...

The colour of heatsink doesn't matter but used miner is a different degree. I personally don't think it is acceptable.
We (MinerEU) have not even opened the packaging, therefore we contacted Gridseed about this.
Could you please take a few photos of these miners and a very short video showing how many of the miners are effected. Send them to contactus@minereu.com
We will ask gridseed for possible compensation.

I was thinking of getting one of these little things before the big ASICs come online.
The idea of decentralised crypto is getting smaller now we've got datacentres holding a high percent of hashing.
Or at least with BTC.

Looks like all gridseed distributors are selling at the same price so not a promo from what I can tell.

If I were to buy one today when do you expect to ship?

In stock, next day dispatch. There was a delay last week due to Easter holiday. Now all back to normal.

Can you confirm that you have sent out my replacement blade today like you said as you haven't replied to my messages.

Have you shipped the faulty miner back to us?
We normally ship replacement on the next day when we received the returned item.

Hy MinerEU, when will you sell new Scrypt Miners (60-70 M/Hash) ?

Gridseed's main product is the G-Blade now. There are new products in the pipeline but the release date is not confirmed (Personally I think it will take some time).
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [MinerEU] Gridseed G-Blade Raspberry PI Scripta setup script on: April 22, 2014, 01:35:34 AM
Hi, Guys, As you all know, http://www.lateralfactory.com/scripta/ is very good.
As Gridseed G-Blade becomes scrypt mining main stream, scrypta has not updated too much to support the G-Blade and there are a few bugs which stops us from mining with Raspberry Pi.

We at minereu.com have done some research and have put together this little script that would help you mine happily with G-Blade .

Improvements merged from other people:

1, cgminer update: cgminer was able to mine , but can not report correct hash rate on interface. when you attach to it with screen -x, you can't see correct hash rate for G-Blade. also, the API interface is not supporting Scrypt very well some of the stats are not reflected correctly.
Credit to https://github.com/jmordica as we forked his version and to https://github.com/mox235 as we merged his API fix so scripta can correctly report hash rate.

2, scrypta update:
credit to https://github.com/mox235 because we merged his update to support detailed configuration from scrypta for G-Blade miner

3, Raspberry pi hanging /stuck bug: for those of you who try to mine with cgminer, it hangs after a little while or few hours. this is due to a memory paging issue. and we adopted a workaround to fix it.

4, a bash script that setup your existing pi without you have to download a image . just use following command to run the script on your pi:

Code:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MinerEU/raspberry-pi-setup/master/setup-pi.sh|bash

5, automatically start mining when your power is on Pi . (Scrypta already support this, we just modified a little bit on the start script)

If you have any thing to feedback to us, please just comment on this thread.

BTW, if you are running a PC with Debian/Ubuntu, the script will try to download cgminer and compile it for your OS. so it will also work for PC.

How to use:
1, run this script and wait for it to finish. once it is done , you should be able to connect to your pi through
https://ipaddress

2, login with password: scripta

3, Pools and workers are predefined as MinerEU's test values,  please change it to your own and save and then restart.

Of course, if you are kind enough to run a clean install and provide an image for everyone to download that would be very nice of you.
