Never received any response from SMOKE regarding if I am allowed to release the .onion address. But honestly, at this point I don't see why we should keep hiding it when it is fully developed. +1 I heard from a "friend in the industry" that at least two of the major Exchanges are behind lot of the Voot FUDing to try and kill the exchange. Key quote: "Kill the baby in the crib".
A new exchange with a good gimmick (like the anon/TOR thing) can grab all kinds of market share. After all Who cares where you sell your Dogecoin or whatever if it is fast, not obviously scammy and has some neat features?
Smart people get their coin off the Exchange to their own wallets ASAP anyway.

GUYS!! I made a withdrawal 13 days ago, and am still waiting for it EVERY FREAKIN DAY!!!! un freakin believable!! I made a withdraw, it said its complete on their site, and there we go!! opened a ticket and well, just non-sense and useless replies!!! I didnt wanna spread this since am an IT guy and I know bugs happen all the time!! but this has gone toooooo far!!!
I am not able to sell it for a higher price since price has dropped down, I am not staking. I am not doing anything except waiting and I believe I NOW SHOULD warn you all about this... I dont care what problem they have! after 13 days being unresolved, support un-responsive, and when they did, the promise was not met 5 days ago!! I am even fed-up and dont want my coins anymore!! its just 1 bad experience with cryptsy, but it went so far that it just deleted all the good memories and all the good experience I had with them!!!
I dunno how to show screenshots, but i have the whole history!! dunno what to do!! but am just sharing by experience for you guys to take care!! I repeat ive been a user for a long time!! I never had such a bad experience with cryptsy, but when it happened, it turned out to be the WORST EVER!!!

UPDATE:
I just received an update from SMOKE devs.
The exchange is now 100% complete and ready for launch.
However, we as the community need to make a few decisions next.
We need to know if we're willing to elect community members who can help manage it OR if we should let SMOKE team manage it and pay them a "consultancy fee" to do so.
We are also looking for investors who may want to invest funds into trading on the exchange.
So far, trading has not yet been enabled. I am asking if I can finally share the .onion address to the public. Will update again shortly.
First off, great work Jeff and especially regarding contacting your dev friends. Second, what are the qualification needed for managing the exchange/voot team. I have lot of free time in coming months. |

I have my own connections with very qualified devs who can take over the project but that will need to take some planning. some planning? =? I know two people who are highly qualified developers who can take over the coin very easily, I've known them for almost 6 years now and they've done some dev work for me in the past (not crypto related). I have asked them previously (about 2-3 weeks ago) about taking the plunge with crypto and they said developing for crypto should be a piece of cake of them. However, they both have full time jobs and would only be able to dedicated any spare time they have towards this project if they decide to get involved. I can ask them about it again to see what they think and what they can offer but this is just one option. Let's see what our available options are and move on from there. Let me know your ideas everyone! Maybe they both can be co-leads for VOOT. That will give more stability to VOOT & they can share their time/resource effectively. |
