161  Economy / Services / Re: ⬛Brainboss Management Service [Signature, media & Bounty]⬛ on: March 29, 2021, 06:44:35 PM
I have taken part twice in social media campaigns, and there is a very high level of professionalism that this manager represents.
Totally recommended and I will be glad to take part in more campaigns for CryptopreneurBrainboss.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if the bear market starts next month on: March 29, 2021, 07:59:12 AM
Op was presumably traumatized by the bear market Smiley

We must stop reasoning by seeing only extreme periods in my opinion. We can be in a slightly declining market without being in a 'bear market'. It is first of all a question of knowing what is the definition of a bear market. In my opinion, this implies a notion of relatively long duration. Some do not hesitate to talk about bear market after ... two days of declining market ... Roll Eyes

Clearly you haven't studied Bitcoin cycles. There will be a prolonged bear market, not just slightly declining but rapidly and your bags will be worthless again, with 99% of the tokens you are holding becoming totally useless and abandoned.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if the bear market starts next month on: March 28, 2021, 08:32:10 PM
Lol! This is funny that you think any altcoin will survive. Just watch them drop 90% and then another 90%. If you think anything will survive it won't be even Tether.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More records for bitcoin as we welcome 2021. on: March 28, 2021, 02:37:30 PM
This figure you posted is incorrect bitcoin has gone above that figure in the past one week as at the time of replying this post the price of bitcoin is already above $40,000 so please edit and correct your mistake.

Bitcoin has shown some high level of recognition both to individual and institutions in towards the end of 2020 and up till now the records keep soaring high day by day.

Can someone give a reasonable explanation on why this post was meritted? I am in bitcointalk for a while but I still don't understand exactly how merit works.
Is it given to posts that correct others? Is it because you liked this post because of the content it provided?

Appreciate it if those who meritted explain how it works and why this post deserved 8 merit by four different accounts.

Also why this post was meritted and the rest bellow and above weren't. I mean it has to be something exceptional I overlook?
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies will be around in 10 years and why? on: March 28, 2021, 02:32:58 PM
Cardano

LOL. Of course it will be around, and Charles will keep spamming the internet with the army of lakeys he is paying for five years. Won't have any product ready but just the same stupid army of idiots spamming about Cardano and being as stupid as possible. The most ridiculous community I have ever witnessed is Cardano.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty] [Pre-sale] Sovryn - Brings DeFi to Bitcoin on: March 28, 2021, 10:58:44 AM
I think the manager should immediately confirm the constrained distribution.

The answer in telegram is this:

Quote
Its upto SOV team now. We'll let you know once they start distribution.

167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Football club Juventus adopt crypto for players payment on: March 25, 2021, 07:24:57 PM
Juventus gave to Ronaldo some tokens that of course his manager will dump immediately. There are reasons for clubs to introduce tokens but most will not. Especially not tokens in Ethereum network which will require for fans to pay double in fees. This is like ripping off the supporters of the club.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Falling of Ethereum on: March 25, 2021, 07:15:29 PM
I am done with Ethereum. This is basically garbage right now. Fees are ridiculously high, we can't even move a token or use the godamn network. This is just crap. NFTs and DeFi with fees like that is completely useless and pointless for me. Well done devs, miners and anyone else. You failed miserably.
169  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your exit price(s) on this bull run? on: March 11, 2021, 04:33:31 PM
Seeing quite a few predictions here based on log charts that BTC is going to 150k, 200k, 400k, etc. by EOY then crashing 50-90% in '22. If you think the markets are going to follow this pattern a la 2017, then what are your exit points and reentry points? These could always change but I'm interested in what your medium/long-term strategy is to capture most of the anticipated highs of the bull run.

It will crash this year, not in 2022. Just pay attention to the charts and you will see what I see. What I don't know exactly is when. It could be next month, or September, it will not go all the way until December though. 50% won't be the bottom from the ATH, it will be 80%.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With a clogged network, users will start abandoning BTC for alts. Change my mind on: March 11, 2021, 03:05:28 PM
Ok, I will just reply to the title, as this is what caught my attention.
BTC won't be abandoned by anyone. The reason is it isn't used by anyone. 99.99% of investors are using exchanges, Paypal  or custodial services like Grayscale.
Nobody holds a private key. Just the early investors, the trezor owners from 2013 and a few more that are aware of the actual potential of cryptocurrencies.

The rest are just there for their Bitcoin investment as this is what they've been told. Nobody uses Bitcoin for purchases. It is just a very small number that is insignificant. Otherwise we would be flooded with news about how much Bitcoin is used around the world.

Even in bitcointalk, I rarely read any post about someone actually using Bitcoin as a currency, which was the primary target it had. It is used for hodl and nothing else, this makes it losing value as it also losses the currency feature.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: March 11, 2021, 09:26:51 AM
So I bought BTC at £9000, made a nice amount. Is it a good idea to now sell this and move that money into alt coins? or should I  sell half BTC and buy back in after alt season is finished?

What do you think?

You are asking us? All answers you will get will be to keep holding. What was your plan when you bought? Since you obviously entered Bitcoin to make profit if you are asking when to sell. Without having a clear plan and targets set then you can consider yourself lucky to have made this kind of profit.

My plan was to hold, which I did, I may take some profit and use that for Alt season. I don't know about lucky - if you buy and hold then sell at the right time you make money.

Holding a large percentage in bitcoin will help you when things go wrong. If you take all your profit and put it in altcoins you should know the risks involved. I am investing in altcoins but in a way that this won't be harmful to my total investment in this market. Any altcoin investment can easily go down 90%. Bitcoin when it reaches the top it can go down 80% but probably no more, unless it becomes completely useless. What I would do in your position is to take half out in cash. As I understand this, you entered to make more money, as everyone else. If you believe that cryptocurrencies will have a future, then you should hold your initial investment in it for longer. However, since the profit you've made is 4000% taking some back will mean you were successful with this trade.
By saying you got lucky, I meant that you entered the right time but not having a plan usually means trouble. You had the ability to see an opportunity that was there, but this is just half of it. The rest is making a plan and sticking to it.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience isn't everything on: March 10, 2021, 07:04:53 PM
When I was still a newbie to crypto many people told me to keep holding and that's all I did for many years and in the end I ended up with many dead coins, whenever I keep seeing people talking about patience as if it's the only thing a newbie need I always shake my head, the fact is you need more than patience to get good results from projects, having patience sometimes will get you nothing

Imagine buying Ripple at $3 and someone talks to you about patience and hodl. Patience worked until now only for bitcoin and ethereum. All the rest are too far from ATH and we can expect they will dissappear completely when the bear market starts.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum to 100k? on: March 10, 2021, 07:03:06 PM
How can you tell if a price prediction is too high in relation to market cap?

When prices start dropping expect a 95% decline for most cryptocurrencies. Ethereum 90% and Bitcoin 80%. I can't think of anything that would stand without losing this much. This is the risk you take too.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are no real coins in bitcoin on: March 10, 2021, 07:25:11 AM
The coins are just the balances where the unit is BTC (with 8 decimal places on the right) inferred from all previous unspent transactions to that bitcoin address.

Ok. I understand now why this was posted. I think that I can't answer to that correctly thoguh. I would need knowledge of the Bitcoin code to be precise in my reply. However, it is seems that this is the outcome of the whole system of the Bitcoin software and the blockchain. The balances that have as source all the transactions permanently recorded and stored in the blocks.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Democrat Senator Warren attacks Bitcoin on: March 09, 2021, 06:40:15 PM
I would be pleased if you had the same reaction when the actual fascist president you used to have reacted against Bitcoin.  You were probably like "yeah, I guess he is right" when he was spouting nonsense.  Sadly it will always be like that.  You will keep voting idiots and egomaniacs for presidents.  Next president will probably be a wrestler just to prove that idiocracy was a movie based on real life.  You aren't that far from there.
I wonder if Satoshi was ever political by taking sides, or clearly understood there wasn't any difference at all between the two parties you have.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: March 08, 2021, 12:39:32 PM
What is your opinion about the USDT coin?

Not the best one. I wouldn't hold USDT instead of USD if this is what you are asking and I don't plan on holding any USDT. Besides from being a centralized token in various networks, that prints, or mints if you want it, new tokens at will any day they like and somehow managed to hold the price at $1 in exchanges using some kind of algorithm probably, it also has so many troubles and accusations that make it unprefered as for anything to do with it. I wouldn't use USDT but only for trading at an exchange and I wouldn't hold USDT too much. In fact, all the stablecoins have a limited time before they burst and bottom at zero.

Maybe DAI could have a system with validated collaterals so it could be more stable for the long term. It needs some more time though and tested in more difficult times with higher volumes.
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the FBI wallet with 141,000 bitcoins was stolen what would happen? :o on: March 08, 2021, 12:28:50 PM
I don't think it would be very intelligent for anyone to try and steal the Bitcoin owned by the FBI. I remember though there was discussion about this wallet and how it was hackers trying to break it open as an encrypted file was passing hands between some of them. I don't know if this kind of news was real either but in the end this wallet moved all the Bitcoin and later came a statement that it was a wallet used in Silk Road and years later the FBI managed to get their hands on the private key. It was also important that someone was in charge of the private key and handed it over to the FBI. This is what we read from the news but I'm not completely convinced events happened the way we read them. There seems to be many gaps in that story and information that is not shared at all with the public.

179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World Without Bitcoin on: March 06, 2021, 02:02:04 PM
What are you talking about. Bitcoin doesn't exist for most people. It is just an investment for 99% of those holding it and nobody of the millions that invested actually used it to purchase anything. What would be the world without Bitcoin? Exactly the same it is today. You are giving too much importance on a digital currency that lost its way for the last five years. Since the moment it was decided there wouldn't be any scaling solutions on the code it wasn't ever going to change anything.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After Tesla, others began to pay attention to Bitcoin. Is this the future trend on: March 05, 2021, 01:05:40 PM
Blackrock won't invest in bitcoin for the time being. If I am wrong please correct me, but I remember this fund wanted to use the CME futures, which isn't actually investing in Bitcoin. I thought that Blackrock was investing in assets, companies and financial instruments, but I don't know why they only wanted to use the future markets for Bitcoin, or their intentions on their position. Maybe the see an opportunity and wanted to open a long position but this doesn't mean they invest. The futures market is speculative and doesn't have to do with adoption.
