Coins are taking a bit more to arrive to the USA than usual, will ask my postal office to check if they can see the status, as the package has already entered the USA. In case the coin is lost, worry do not, as I will replace it. The lost coin will be labeled as "Lost in transit" on my records to avoid resale, and hence it is not funded until arrival no BTC will be lost. |

Hey CI, any idea yet on when we will see the last of these coins (#8) done? Hopefully the new mint that you're using has them done, or will have them done in the near future. The 10 year anniversary coin set completion should be a priority, at this point. Also, are there any options for holders?  Coins have already been reminted, 10 coin set is a priority, but with the current country situation I am unable to ship nor complete further projects as most business are still closed... Any updates here? I know that shipping is picking back up in some locations, but the window may be limited if another wave of the pandemic starts going around. Just got the 8/10 this week, that Spain went out of quarantine, preparing them for shipping now. |

Update:Due to recent circumstances, I am unable to continue my usual activity so everything is being delayed. Everything will return to normal hopefully in the following weeks/months. I hope you all and your families are alright  Meanwhile I got the draft for this coin.  Let me know what you think about the design

Each would have been $6990.52 at the time of OP posting and 5% of 9 sales (unless you donate as well, which would make 10) = $3145.734 Which 3 charities were chosen to donate to? Did each charity get an equal amount? Do you have the public address list for these sets/coins?Were they provided to the buyers when purchased? Thanks Sorry for not responding before, I am not visiting the forum much lately (trying to clear all backlog) Each set was 6,146.37$, (Maybe you are adding the BTC funding) so donation was 5% of that amount (307,3185$), total = 3.073,185$ That equated to roughly 2700€ at the time. I donated to three charities. 1. Iberian Lynx, the main charity protecting this animal is state funded and did not accept donations. Hello Fellow Bitcoiners! Before this year ends I wanted to announce a new coin, well, in this case, two coins. I present you the Gearing Bitcoin coin, a two coin set with one finished in the usual matte/bright silver and the second in antique silver which highlights even more all the details of the gears. The coins are dated 2019, but I will be releasing this set during the beginning of 2020. I had some custom cases made, which are taking longer than expected, hence my inability to ship. Will be releasing more details the following days. We can't see the serial numbers on the new hologram? What coins have the new holograms? So the set of coins will not all be uniform?  With new hologram I refer to the one used in 2019 coins, I mean that with this hologram (All 10 set coins have the same one) it is a bit trickier to see the serial number. Btw CI, when will we be getting the next coin(s) for the 10 year anniversary set? We're also waiting for the newspaper as well, any idea on the E.T.A. for the rest of the coins (and Times newspaper) in this series? I think that most of us were under the impression that ALL of them would be done before the end of the year. Can you keep us posted and will you concentrate on completion of the 10 Year Anniversary Set? We've all been waiting for a UPDATE, and it would kinda be nice to get those regularly. Enthusiasm is still very high about the set. Looks like I did not include your email in the broadcasting list, my apologies. Coin 6/10 is already shipping, 7/10 ships next week and 8/10 & 9/10 before November ends. 10/10 in December. All before 2019 ends. I usually update the 10 set coin thread but don't bump it. As per mavensbot comments he prefers money to be donated to a charity rather than to him. Nonetheless I am waiting for mavensbot to get back to me with his address to ship a funded coin his way. shipping from which country (or at least continent)? and as I'm a newbie in this collectible-forum and don't have a clue ( ) ... : what is this denomination about? i understand that i load such amount on the coin ... if affirmative, where do i get the private key from? and who else has this key? anyone? CI is located in Spain I believe. The denomination is 0.005 BTC and has no special meaning unlike some of his coin releases (example. moon coin). If you peel the hologram there will be a priv key/QR more than likely (I have never peeled a CI coin so unsure). You have to pay the 0.005 upfront with the cost and once the coin is received CI usually loads them when you message him. Exactly, thank you teeGUMES for the explanation, coins are shipped from Spain. And in case you peel the hologram you will have a paper insert with a miniprivate key printed on it, same format as Casascius. CI - I would like a coin, whatever number is lowest.
Also, can you share your procedure for dealing with keys? Are you ensuring they are wiped etc? Thank you.
PM'd regarding the coin. Of course! Keys are generate in an isolated environment, with no other electronics nearby. I use a Laptop, which never gets connected to a network, for the sole purpose of generating private keys, equipped with a SSD which is less prone to data retention. Computer wipes itself after every reboot. I use Casascius Bitcoin Address Utility https://github.com/casascius/Bitcoin-Address-Utility to generate the private keys. After keys are generated, I have a Dumb Printer (One without internal memory, so It cannot store any history of printed files) to laser print the keys into high quality paper. Keys are then cut and coins assembled. I am the only one involved in this process. Hope that solves your doubts. P.S. All private messages replied up to here. |
