With Bitcoin hitting new highs at 3k$+ i am not sure how long the OMG price increase will continue for, still watching though! Im sure long term looks bullish for OMG if expectation on payout per ownership of OMG is met!
Im not sure if i missed this but what payout do you speak of?

I really would like my OMG on a safe wallet instead of an exchange  Roll Eyes

You can store it in Myetherwallet

Congratulations everyone, hold on to your coins because Omisego POS is coming!

While the usual drumbeat of cryptocurrency innovation calls for 'banking the unbanked', a startup called Omise actually has the opposite goal: 'unbanking the banked'.

And with the help of Joseph Poon, co-author of bitcoin's Lightening Network white paper, the Thailand-based payment gateway network is building a decentralized exchange based onethereum to move toward that goal.

The decentralized exchange, which Poon has written another white paper for, is built directly into the company's upcoming proof-of-stake blockchain, OmiseGo. Once it's finished, users will be able to trade fiat currencies for cryptocurrencies, or exchange between almost any cryptocurrencies (say bitcoin for ether) without a third party like Coinbase or Kraken.

Eliminating middleman was cryptocurrency's original value proposition. Not to mention, trust in third parties is arguably what led to some of bitcoin’s most publicized disasters, including thefall of Mt Gox in 2014 and the $65m hack of Bitfinex last summer.

In contrast, Poon described the project as a sign of what's to come in the cryptocurrency space, calling the decentralized trading trend "a big deal".

Its not fud, their weekly videos stopped two weeks ago, there has been no reasonable update on their july 31st release being missed, they have been ignoring e-mails, and there are accusations of fake twitter followers all over reddit. Not even a video or review on the recent "meet up". I pulled out with minimum loss and bought in to Omisego and i am up 100% in 5 days. Humaniq would of caused me further losses as the price dips. I do believe in their vision, but i seriously question why they have gone so quiet. I am starting to believe the 'development team' were just actors. I will keep an eye on this forum in case i am wrong, but for now i have re-invested and doubled up and OMG continues to rise. I am just being honest.

Omisego is a branch off coin of Omise. Omise is a huge payments company in Asia. They will be making a big announcement in August. Product launch will be in Q4 2017. One of their advisors is the founder of Ethereum, this is Vitalik's second of 3 projects he is advisor for, very reputable team. Buy and hold til the end of the year atleast. It is to my understanding they will be used by McDonalds in Thailand, followed by more stores around Asia. This is a coin that will reach $10 - $15 by the end of this month, and possibly $90-$100 end of this year. The reason why this coin is growing so fast is because people have done their research and know this will be a top 3 crypto.

Seriously, if this turns out to be a scam, it will be the best scam ever with all the work Dinis Guarda and the team put to the marketing, meetups, etc. I'm not worried at all tbh.

Yes sputnik, want to sell me your HMQs and be done with this thread?
I was thinking the same thing. I was also thinking they have gone quiet since the meet up, i thought they would of atleast had some video of it too

I sold everything to save myself huge losses. Humaniq has gone very quiet for over a week with no update about July 31st release
If that is you decision then good luck to you new investment, I still have my HMQ tokens which I get from investing in ICO
and had never touch it despite the price went up to almost 9K sats, I am a kind of person who have a good patient so I will wait.
I see your point, but you need to understand i have been in crypto for afew years and seen alot. The price drop didnt bother me, it was the price drop combined with missed deadlines, stopped updates, team gone silent, and accusations on reddit of fake twitter followers, all recipes for a scam. Im not saying Humaniq is a scam, maybe they have good reasons for the above, but ive been burnt once before and if i see the same signs i will get out immediatley. Its a shame though because i really did like their vision.

I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the people who dumped their coins, allowing me to buy more HMQ cheap, this is what you are missing out on..

A financial inclusion app is to be launched in Ghana in coordination with the UN with the aim of giving young slum-dwellers a tool to improve their lives.

The Humaniq App, which comes out on Android on the 31st July and is targeted at people in low-income, suburban areas of the capital, Accra, with the aim of giving them a way to receive, borrow, sell and earn and improve their lives. The application has four main sections: bio-identification; a contacts and referral system; a wallet system; and a data-light chat system, all liberating for people without access to banking, and having to live day-to-day.

Bio-identification gives the undocumented an identity necessary to access financial services, an identity that one billion people in the world lack. It involves taking two photographs of a user that must match and, in order to eliminate fraud, the second requiring the user to show a particular emotion. This is in order to prevent anybody using two matching photographs that are not of themselves. In addition, a further security measure is the validation of the user’s phone number with an SMS.

The referral system, meanwhile, allows those downloading the Humaniq App to immediately start ‘earning’ HMQ coin cryptocurrency, and will underpin the growth of the app. The app displays what contacts from the contact book are already using the app, and for those that are not, there is an option to invite them.

Invitations generate SMS texts with unique referral links. The app tracks the status of invited users, and as soon as they join the Humaniq community, their status will be updated and both users will receive a HMQ bonus. For those contacts of users that already belong to the Humaniq community, users will be able to initiate transactions, send messages or start a voice call.

In addition, every user has a personal web page, stored in the format hmq.im/username, which can be shared with other users in order to get bonuses as another way of building a stronger community where users have a growing number of connections. In order to get invited and to get a bonus, users can leave their phone number on the personal page.

The Humaniq App chat system, meanwhile, has the unique selling point of providing encrypted conversations guaranteeing privacy that are also light on data consumption. This is a crucial feature in emerging countries where smartphone data is expensive compared to average incomes.

The chat system also provides cloud synchronisation, so all chats are synchronized if you log in from another device; group chats; voice calls; audio memos; and image and video sharing. In addition, chat users can request funds from each other, and see transactions coming in, and going out. This is the first step towards building a more collaborative, peer-to-peer economy in regions where people are currently shut out of the 21st Century, digital economy.

The wallet system is the part of the app that makes it possible to send and receive cryptocurrency. A user can review their balance in HMQ and the comparable amount in local currency, determined by their geo-location.The app shows a user’s entire transaction history with extensive details: the status of the transaction, the amount and the local currency equivalent.

An app allows users to send and request funds either by selecting users from the contact book, scanning a QR code, or even by entering a phone number for users not already using Humaniq, who will receive an SMS with a weblink where they can collect their payment.

The Humaniq App provides an open source full-stack and API that will be available for startups and other services to build services on top of the core Humaniq technology. This makes it easy for Fintech partners to plug into the Humaniq network to reach a huge market that is not served at present.

In the pipeline for later this year and 2018 are additional tabs allowing users to earn, borrow and access an online marketplace and further financial services, such as insurance and medical services

I had a look, there are no install files?

You save the NEO Desktop Client folder somewhere on your computer and then you need to unpack the compressed files (with for example 7-Zip). There indeed is no official installation. You just open the folder after having unpacked it and run 'neo-gui'....the only item in the main folder with the green Neo logo. That is all there is to it.

I had another look, there is no green logo icon, which sub folder did you see it in?

I actually really feel sorry for all those people who sold their altcoins at a loss for bitcoin because of this. What a sham. My advice is, buy back in to your alts before the split, or it will hurt.

The new Neo wallet hasn't been officially released yet has it? Seems like the old Antshares wallet is on the neo.org website

The new wallet is available at the link below, but indeed not listed at the old Antshares/NEO website:

This is a great asset with limited supply only around 100 millions token and they are goin POS by the end of year or maybe early next year, still no info yet

by holding this coin will give you interest when their POS is runnning, very good and solid investment

have u guys bought yet ? thought ?

I have bought some OMG and keep it until it is good and good quality. It would be better to buy and save than to sell it now. Hoping traders will flock to buy OMG so price stability can be guaranteed.

It is quite a long term project with much of the tech not even developed yet. If you read the white paper there are many questions and few answers or details regarding how this is going to play out. Especially around how the POS is going to work and how you will be rewarded.

I picked some up last week and will just hold it for a year and see what happens. Everyone in crypto is so impatient and waiting for things to mature and appreciate faster than things are developed. This is a long term hold IMO

Does anyone have any information on Omisego PoS, will there be a minimum amount of coins held to stake? And what the PoS rewards would be?

I am trying to find out information about Omisego PoS, and if there is going to be a minimum amount of coins needed to stake, and what the reward will be? I cant find it in the white paper

is this coin a good investment? I am new to crypto, I hope someone would like to advice. Thanks.
It looks like it is promising one.
But still nothing working in real world. So, only expectations.
Try to catch some good price near 200k satoshis. Then it would look like a good investment.
By the way, it is not an investment when you buy to later sell. It is called speculation.
People are dumping their altcoins to get bitcoin thinking they are going to make profit with free bitcoin cash, but they dont realise the value of bitcoin cash will cause them a loss as opposed to keeping their alts and buying bitcoin direct with fiat. I love the idea of free bitcoin cash but it will be dumped in minutes, and the people who sold their alts are going to lose alot of money.
This week will be the best time to buy altcoins until August 1st
