Should anyone knows what will be the price (prediction) for Bitcoin cash ?

Futures market says $100-$400. I anticipate heavy selling so could be in the lower range.

why should someone buy a free coin for $ 100-400? Wink
I hope to get $ 10 if i can dump fast enough (but i guess there are larger btc-owners who will dump with automatic software much faster).

Price should drop down very much, I suppose around 5-10$.

BTC price likely to drop 10 to 20 percent on August 1st when the chain splits. Make sure to have your private keys when this happens so you don't lose funds.

and take coins off exchange into your own wallet that supports BCC

If I can get anything near $10 ill be happy lol im not going to try and dump straight away will give it a few days see if the price recovers even slightly after the initial dump but I dont want to wait too long after because I believe if it does recover slightly it will only be short lived.

Anyone investing in this now will be loosing so much money.

Ive already got new offline wallets prepared to transfer all my BTC to before I import my private key to claim the BCC/BCH then the old keys will be destroyed once I get my final payment from nicehash before I restart on a new wallet

Very similar thing happened to ZenCash. After the fork it was listed on Bittrex, and starting price was 16-18$. Just a few days later price dropped to 4-6$ and its still in those regions.

Once the holders get that it will go nowhere, they will dump it to the ground

It's all about not doing BTC transactions for 12-24 hours, the rest is all a legend. BTC will remain stable, BCC is nothing.
I suggest taking care of your private seeds-keys, which wallets use, etc. Many people will lose money because of ignorance.-

Bcash is an immature attemp to coup bitcoin. Thanks to UASF148, we forced their hand and they had no choice but to split before they have more power.

Bitcoin Unlimited and any other proposals had their chance to split at any time but they preferred to stay with the original chain. After we activated segwit they just got super mad over that and they saw that bitcoin community will never follow retards like Ver/Wu/Wright so they had to split with the whatever support they got. (Paid shills mostly)

They even talk about activating LN can you believe it? A Core made code which they badmouthed so many months.

And this now;
https://mobile.twitter.com/rogerkver/status/891338448463736832

After all those time he was angry with the high fees, he is mad at cheap fees. There is no way that we could be able to reason with those people.

They are sociopaths with bipolar sauce on top.

No need to say, I will be dumping my shitcoins as soon as I can on a reputable exchange. (Not viabtc clearly)

They can have all the bcash coins they want. I don't want to be contaminated with this shit.

Could anyone find out at what block number the fork is planned to happen ? I couldn't find anything in the BitcoinABC source code.

Found something:

Quote
The fork block is the first block connected to a block with MTP of 2017 Aug 1 12:20 UTC.
MTP is the median timestamp of the 11 blocks leading up to and including that prior block.
It's likely, but assured, that the fork block will happen later than 12:20 wall clock time, because MTP generally lags the wall clock by an hour or so.
Reorgs are also possible.

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6qfem4/time_of_fork_august_1st/

As I understand it (and I could easily be wrong here), the first block will likely be even further delayed because only a small fraction of Bitcoin's hashrate will attempt to build the Bitcoin Cash branch.

Also, props for trying to dig through the Bitcoin ABC source.  If you're still curious, the relevant parts are the start time constant, the Median Time Past comparison, and the definition of Median Time Past.

Much appreciation for pointing me to the relevant code parts! Thank you. Smiley

This is exciting and profitable for those who are aware of this, I have my private keys ready and a bitcoincash wallet downloaded here https://bitcoinclassic.com/downloads/index.html I am now syncing it in preparation for the big event.

Blockstream is a business that pay Core, they benefit form small block because their tech dominate layer 2 solution effectively taking future volume offchain. Anyway not many exchange will have bcc trade pair and sending after the fork will take a long time due to high difficulty. If you take the safe solution, it will take you days to sell it and i expect the price to very low by then.

Hello OP or any knowledgeable user here about BCC. If I keep my BTC to a BCC capable wallet. Will I received equivalent BCC there? How too confuse regarding this matter. Will my money get double because BCC will have a price also? Thanks in advance for answering.

Every "BCC-capable" wallet I've seen so far is simply a Bitcoin Cash wallet and does not handle BTC.  Be careful! there is a real risk that someone will put out a "Bitcoin Cash wallet" to learn your private keys and steal your BTC.

One idea is to move your bitcoins (say 12 bitcoins) to an address (say 1abc...) you control (you have the private key or mnemonic seed), wait until the blockchain forks, and then send all 12 bitcoins normally to some other address of yours (say 1def...).  Once the bitcoins are safely at 1def... you can give the 1abc... private key to a Bitcoin Cash wallet and it will find 12 BCH at your 1abc... address, ready to send.

If you start with 12 bitcoins (under your control) then, after the fork, you will have 12 BCH and 12 BTC.  If your bitcoins are on an exchange or in some bank-like online wallet then you may or may not receive any BCH (ask your provider to issue a statement regarding BCH).

Your money will not really double.  You will have twice as many coins but those coins will be worth less than the coins you had before the fork.

Bitcoin price will not affected too much by this fork because only few supported on BCC. A 1:1 scale is insane for BTC. But thanks for the advice. It means that BCC is just like a dividend in other coin. And nothing to worry. Smiley

No nothing to worry about BTC may even see a huge gain from this due to the new buys from selling off the BCC/BCH

I actually really feel sorry for all those people who sold their altcoins at a loss for bitcoin because of this. What a sham. My advice is, buy back in to your alts before the split, or it will hurt.
