I have to say to Synechist and Dan that today you have done an outstanding job in clearing all the attacks that you have received by those low life crypto scammers.
Yesterday I was on the verge of selling due to the paranoia that somehow they instilled on me and Im glad I kept my bag secure.
Yeah I got very little sleep last night and all I could find anywere where fud threads. I was feeling pretty depressed, but was never gonna sell. In the end I decided to put an order in and got about another 1000 XC in the 30's. It's always been all or nothing for me. Glad to see things turning around.  |

Just compare the dates in this conversation to the dates in the Prom / Smurf conversation. Prometheus is shown as having NO IDEA about a merger between XC and SDC on his conversations dated later than 10/9. This proves multiple things: 1) Obviously, Dan is NOT Prometheus 2) It proves Prometheus' relationship with Dan is really not close at all. If their relationship was close, the XC/SDC merger is surely information that Prometheus would have been aware of. Instead, Prometheus asks Smurf for a collaboration AFTER 10/9 - surely he wold have mentioned something of the merger discussed on 10/9. Not to mention that the information Prometheus gives in his chat with Smurf is erroneous in several places. One question I have is, who approached who first for a merger? Did XC approach SDC first? Nope. The truth about Dan's code reviews and collaborations was made public at every point on the XC thread. There was nothing to expose. What they did is make it look like it was a dirty secret, when it wasn't. How does the fact that this information leak was premeditated take away from the fact that it's all now confirmed to be genuine? What's happened is that Prometheus has been subject to smear campaigns in the past that make him out to be a P&D scammer. Linking Dan to Prometheus therefore appears to wreck Dan's reputation. But the truth is that Prometheus is no paragon of virtue, but he is not a pump-and-dump scammer either. And Dan's link to coins Prometheus funds has not been a secret at any point. So what's all the fuss about? Hearsay about Prom; true records of conversations that have nonetheless been cut to put Prom in as negative a light as they can; another coin doing its best to destroy the competition. We have nothing to hide. Bring it all out. There is nothing to fear from the truth. So for people holding XC and Blocknet as long as you're aware of what type of groups you're backing then it's up for you to decide how you want to deal with your own investments. I don't really care who associates with who as long as the Tech is Legit and comes out in a timely manner. |

I've got to say. This whole nonsense thing going on, is pretty fucking stupid. After going through the facts, the only thing that's been accused against Dan was him being apart of a pump group, which was denied by both the pump group and him. So exactly WHAT are the trolls FUDDING for? Bitcointalk is turning into the new Batman's Asylum.
Where has the pump group denied Dan is a part? would be nice to have all the actual evidence in one place. Also, if Prom is part of a pump group, how is he not a pump and dump scammer as stated by Syn? |

It's actually much worse than admitted in the OP.
In an article I read (but can't find) Dan admits to the interviewer using the XC premine that got moved to "Pay himself back" and he "Purchased blocknet tokens with it"
So essentially what you have is a developer using money from the premine to pay himself and buying into another security in which he owns both the XC he buys with and the blocknet tokens after purchase and the XC was taken from the community premine fund.
I mean ... how many holes do the XC hodlers have? Not sure but Dan plans on finding out...
last thing I read about this was that the pre mine was spent by september and the funds went towards paying synechist and tekka and others. dunno if any proof of this has been posted yet. be interesting if you can find where dan said that? |

I hope if he answers these questions to everyones satisfaction we can stop cluttering the entire board with this stuff.
If there is a scam let's have some concrete proof presented now so i can dump my xc and block. If not then let's move forward. I bought a few k of block and held xc throught this crash so i'm hoping this is nothing more than fud.
However if proven not to be fud and there is evidence to show real scamming or shady tactics then those projects are in serious trouble.
Looks bad them shutting down the xc thread.
XC team just answer legit questions and delete the rest but do not close the thread, that just looks bad.
I see no real proof of wrong doing so far. Although i do think dan should have stuck with the xc road map. I would have supported a hardfork superblock for funds if the premine had of had a full ledger with expenses. I understand that is depleted now sadly, but since there is no real ledger of course questions will be asked about that.
Anytime a premine is spent there should be a full ledger. I accept devs need payment but it needs to be fully transparent along with all other costs.
Blocknet is a bit of a short term slap in the face for xc holders. I am hoping there will be a full ledger for the alts and BTC raised on the blocknet sale.
For now i remain positive about xc and blocknet but not as positive as i was about xc before this all came about. Blocknet could be great. Perhaps the funds raised should have only been gradually released as work was completed.

as I stated before I answered all these questions, no i did not develop hal, no i did not develop for uitl, blocknet was my idea/formulation alone thus no p&d groups involved in it setup, the coins were chosen based specific tech they bring to the table, and other coins requested access, no prom was not involved in coin selection, all the information about the code reviews was public at the time they happened, no prom has never funded me in any way, the code reviews are not outsource as I've been programming for 35 years

And this is actually all because of Prom, if anyone is to blame here, he has to set the record straight and disassociate himself with Dan. It has caused much turmoil and is now distracting the team from doing their job/coding. Dan I think you should personally ask Prom to set the record straight, I'm not sure it will help at all because it looks like most of the damage is done, but it will help. The only problem now is that this new FUD will be brought up the next time we have a good pump back up into the 100k range or higher. I guarantee it
