161  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China deploys army around Taiwan on: May 24, 2024, 08:37:12 AM
I wonder if either China or the US would even be interested in Taiwan if there was no semicionductor industry? They would probably just hold hands and go there on vacation together instead of all this idiocy.

Actually, it is not only about the semiconductor industry established there in Taiwan. There is much more going on than what meets the eye when comes to a potential takeover of Taiwan by the Chinese Communist party.
I have a friend from China and Taiwan and he has examples to me that the dispute between both countries comes mostly because within the Chinese folklore and tradition, the ruler of China is supposed to have the power over all the "unified empire" for him to be proclaimed to be the one having the favor of heaven. So Taiwan could be just an insignificant islands with no industries and yet, China would try to claim it for herself because the millennial tradition which goes on to this day about the great unifier who is supposed to bring all the claimed territories of Chine together. Xi wants to leave a legacy behing of him, being that historical figure in the nooks of Chinese history.

That is also the reason why he keeps territorial disputes with India, over desolated land near the Himalayas.
You've really given a new meaning to this China, obsession to conquer and Lord over the sovereign territories around it's borders, meaning that they want to fulfill their mythical desires. This is just so baseless in this modern age, China, is already a country that has it all, landmarks, population and technology, a country that is very powerful and no nation can mess with, with their achievements it's totally unnecessary to bother about Taiwan, or any other countries or territories around them. The army and warships that are deployed around Taiwan, are mere drills to show their millitery mights, nothing more, as far as I'm concerned. Taiwan has a president and that makes it a sovereign nation, whether they're weak or strong.
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My model of an ideal investment portfolio on: May 24, 2024, 07:50:04 AM
Your proposed investment portfolio sounds very interesting and feasible, and I believe that whatever a person sets his mind to do, with the right motivation and resources, can become a reality. They say talk is cheap without action, and in this case, the action is money, I wonder if your four years plan can achieve everything that you have listed, especially the kids academy and the real estate, except ofcourse your DCA is in very large amount of money, because the measure of money you put in Bitcoin will determine how massive your ROI to fund your projects.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think projects on LayerZero will benefit once they launch? on: May 24, 2024, 06:42:00 AM
We won't know for sure if projects built on Layerzero will cook or not until when layerzero launches. The ZRO launch has to be strong as it would be used as a benchmark for other projects launching with the omni chain narrative so you could already see how Layerzero launch would be either a make or break moment for their ecosystem projects. I only just got to know about Holograph so there's very little I have to say about until the official launch goes off tomorrow.
The Layerzero launch will be a plus for the crypto space, so that investors can have more choices when they want to choose a platform, but like you've said, they have to kickstart and we will observe their performance for sometime before we can place them. As for the Holograph, token, it's relatively new and most people have not heard about it, and in cryptocurrency, nobody can be certain about a project that will perform very well in the crypto market, it can be the next big thing or end up a shitcoin, but investors can research it and invest the amount that they can afford to loose.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Friendship on: May 23, 2024, 03:24:32 PM
I'm glad that your friend realized the importance of Bitcoin, and came back to apologies to you, it's a good story that ended well, just like in the movies, although you could have edited some parts of the information. Crypto is not banned in my country, but I'm very careful about how I talk to people about it, even my friends, because of the unpleasant experiences that I've had telling people about it in the past when I first adopted it. Now I have to perceive first that a person genuinely want to invest in cryptocurrency before I introduce Bitcoin to the person, to avoid enemity.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin supply shock will come, price will make new ATH on: May 23, 2024, 12:38:46 PM
I can't agree less with your speculations, every events in the Bitcoin space are indicators that we're going to experience a massive bull run and a new ATH price in it's peak. The Bitcoin ETF and halving this year had prepared us for a supply shock, like you phrased it, so it's not late to start or continue accumulating because harvest season will mature in bull run ATH.
166  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is bitcoin still stronger than stocks? on: May 23, 2024, 11:58:58 AM
Everybody has he's or her own. the main issue of cryptocurrenqcies these days can be either stable for a long period of time, or they can stay highly volatile for a long period of time. Nowadays, cryptos are more stable than stocks, but I don't think it will be a very long-lasting trend, because all traders are familiar with cryptos. this comparison can be determined only by a thorough technical analysis or a fundamental one if we talk about long-term intentions.
Cryptocurrency de volatile, dat one mean say e no fit to de stable for a very long time, na only stablecoins wey de paired to stable fiat currencies like the US dollar, de stable. If you de compere stock and cryptocurrency, make you remember say stock market don de exist for decades, while cryptocurrency never tell like dat, meaning say stock don build trust and reputation before crypto trading start, but if we give crypto trading, a little more time, e go dust stock trading, dat one na sure.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: The collapse of central banks...Inevitable? on: May 23, 2024, 10:50:24 AM
Central banks will stay even if the fiat is facing hyper inflation and they will start collapse only if the government itself started collapsing.

The chances of all Central banks will cease to exist is close to zero but hypothetically Bitcoin can be one of the preferred payment options if that happens.
It's not easy for the central banks system to collapse, because we don't have one single central bank that controls or oversees every central banks in the world, if one central bank collapses, others will still be functional. Theoretically or hypothetically, if that happens, then Bitcoin will be in a good position to take over as a global digital cash, because it doesn't have any central authority or barriers. As it is now I don't think that Bitcoin needs to be the only currency in the world to maintain it's relevance, it can function alongside fiat currencies, as an alternative currency
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin profit - when is being greedy too greedy? on: May 23, 2024, 09:49:13 AM
The crypto market is volatile, and all what we can do is speculate prices, not knowing whether the coins/token we hold will dump or pump. You've in a spot now to make decision to sale and put the money in your housing project or leave your crypto project in the hope of getting more ROI, I think that since you have made tremendous profit so far, and have recovered your investment fund, it'll be good to leave some, but the percentage to leave has to be your decision. Unless if your housing project requires some urgency to finish it, otherwise it's best not to sale a promising crypto that has the potential to be bullish in this season.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin halving have been completed, what next? on: May 23, 2024, 09:13:33 AM
After the hard decline of Bitcoin price after halving, this time, the market is getting better again, although not sure how long it will last on rising market condition.
Well, that wasn't a hard decline. Bitcoin reached the 70,000$'s mark, and it's now at 65,000$. Hard decline would be to retreat to something like 40,000$. Bitcoin is holding position quite well despite so much manipulation by whales and institutional investors. Sudden increasements in price can happen at anytime and push Bitcoin above the 70,000$ line once again.

That is what I'm expecting and waiting for this post-halving season. I believe once the price rises, it's going to happen at once without previous warnings or chances for investors to join the pump in real time. So it's necessary to hold the coins beforehand.
The so much anticipated halving has come and gone, and the price dip that normally occurs before Bitcoin price will start to surge is gradually giving way, because with the current $69k price today, we're hopeful of seeing it pass $70k, then surpass the ATH price. So what's next for me going forward is to see a massive bull run, nothing short if that. I don't foresee any major decline in price before price reaches $100k, and it's an opportunity for investors that have the funds to keep accumulating and filling their bags.
170  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia cant go against all the europe and world on: May 23, 2024, 07:05:33 AM
I totally agree that Russia, can not go against all the European countries, no matter if it's in the hidden agendas of Putin, that is beyond him, and the continuous resistance of Ukraine, is a testament that some dreams are not easy to come true. I really think that Russia, should focus on Russians and find a way to strengthen their economy and restore their lost glory as the first country that can stand up to the US, because this war with Ukraine, has really exposed them, they thought that conquering Ukraine, will be a walk in the park.
171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can we do to make Bitcoin hit $100k on: May 23, 2024, 06:03:52 AM
I have always been thinking about what we could do to make Bitcoin hit a tremendous amount.

Is there anything we could do??
The fact is that there is nothing a pleb like us can do to make Bitcoin price hits 100k, because we can only try our best but it might not change anything. The Whales can do that by market manipulation but it will only be temporary.

It is better that we relax and watch and at the same time stashing up more bitcoin till the bull run appears naturally. Only the bull run can make us see 100k price. No one can control bitcoin price, no matter how hard you try, demand and supply controls it.
The reality is that there's nothing more that we regular investors can do to influence the price of Bitcoin to hit $100k or any other price for that matter, except to patiently wait and perhaps speculate. The whales, due to their massive stash can manipulate the market price, but it'll still be on a short term, in the end it'll be a combination of factors like global events and massive sales and buying that determines supply and demand that will trigger price. But I won't worry, I know that seeing $100k price is very possible as we're entering bull run.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PEPE on the way of taking Memecoin crown on: May 23, 2024, 05:32:12 AM
Currently I see PEPE as the most popular memecoin compared to other memecoins, where PEPE's popularity is increasing over time, so that currently there are more and more fans, I myself cannot confirm whether PEPE can match the achievements of DOGE and SHIB in the future.
Pepe is really stepping up in the memecoins category, and it's looking good now for investors to dive into it, so let the  meme enthusiasts take the opportunity to accumulate it. As far as dethroning the two top meme rankings, dogecoin and Shiba Inu, we'll just wait and see how that will play out, because it's normal for projects to pump, but what we're looking at is surpassing the more established projects.
173  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The harsh policies facing bitcoiners in Nigeria. on: May 22, 2024, 06:21:55 PM
Everybody for di country know say our government de always want to find something to hold hand for dem incompetent leadership, now na Binance and other exchanges wey people de do p2p transactions be Nigerian problem. What about as dem don pursue BDC operators, say na dem de cause dollar scarcity, how di thing take help naira value? Prices of goods de increase everyday for market, despite dem attention on crypto matters for di country, dat one clearly show say no be crypto and BDC operators be Nigerian problem.

Di awareness of crypto business for Nigeria, don alleviate poverty for the country to a large extent, many youths wey need where dem go invest and make money don enter crypto business, dem de trade and de buy projects to make profit, some de as marchants for exchanges de do p2p business, but government de put sand for dem garri. See as NOTCOIN, airdrop reward give plenty people money, now everybody de find di latest project wey dem go de tap to mine, our government suppose know say cryptocurrency na blessing to dis country.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season, will it come next months? on: May 22, 2024, 04:35:26 PM
This will be my first bull run experience in the crypto space, but from my research of other bull runs, Bitcoin bull seasons precedes altcoins bull seasons, and if that speculation is anything to rely on, that means that altcoins season cannot be next month. We're still recovering from post halving Bitcoin price dip, and not quite into it's bull run, and I think that investors are still accumulating Bitcoin, in expectant of making ROI, that is when I believe that they will want to reinvest profit into altcoins, that will make them to be bullish. Atleast this is the theory that I've been able to put together, before alt season will starts.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: May 22, 2024, 11:24:47 AM
I first heard about Bitcoin around 2016 but then I had no idea what Bitcoin was. Someone online was saying to work on it because I don't know anything about it. Then I heard about Bitcoin again in 2022 when the price of Bitcoin was 21000 dollars. I did a little research on Bitcoin and saw that it was good. From whom I heard, I said to a brother, brother, let's invest. Buy a bitcoin and keep it.Fifty percent and I invested fifty percent but that brother did not agree then. Day by day the price of Bitcoin was increasing and the price was going up and down around 25, 30, 31 thousand dollars. Still I told my brother to invest but he did not agree. That price eventually reached 74 thousand dollars. I regretted very much why I didn't take a risk. If you want to do something, you have to take a risk, nothing happens without a risk.
You said that you invested 50% of what Bitcoin price was in 2022, then again you said that you regretted that you didn't invest, it seems contradictory to me, you perhaps sold before 2024, and you're regretting why you did.

I think that it's not wise to force or put too much pressure on people to invest in Bitcoin, you can tell them the benefits and let them decide what to do, because it's their money and Bitcoin is not the only investment option. You must've gained knowledge by now to understand that you don't need to have joint Bitcoin investment with anybody, you can start with a small amount of money by yourself, buy in Satoshi, and do DCA method to grow the amount. Bitcoin investment is a win for everybody that is prepared to hodl for long term.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be aware that the government and the haters envies your progress on BTC on: May 22, 2024, 09:50:00 AM
Bitcoin has come to stay, no matter what anybody or governments thinks about it, it can remain banned in some countries and some people can call it a scam, but it doesn't take anything away from the reality that it's a decentralized digital cash and a store of value for investment. I wouldn't bother myself if any people or government is envious about Bitcoin, so far it's not a criminal asset, and it's recognized as a digital cash that individuals, companies and a countries has adopted as a legal tender, it's only a matter of time before the adoption will reach every parts of the world. As for scam projects in cryptocurrency, we need to separate Bitcoin from altcoins.
177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Autotrading system on: May 22, 2024, 08:15:54 AM
I got to realize that must people use autotrading software which enable them to make good profit in trading,  I don't really know about this autotrading system, how does it work? Because people have been saying things about this autotrading, can someone explain how this autotrading is?
Using it won't guarantee you profit. Don't get into that misconception because if these automated trading is a certain profit maker, many have already used them and became rich now on.
As explained above, it does the trading for you but you still need to do something for setting it up.
I've also heard about automated trading and how profitable and convenient that it can be for traders, but I'm not so comfortable with the idea of letting an automated gadget to be making trading decisions for a trader. I liken it to AI when I think about it, so I think that it'll not be helpful for newbies to rely on automated trades, instead they should focus on being at alert to trade by themselves and increase their knowledge, perhaps experienced traders can use it as an alternative, because they're not relying on it.
178  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is procreation really necessary? on: May 22, 2024, 07:08:29 AM
Procreation is necessary and important, without it, the world's population will be declining and because of death that is inevitable, in the far future, the human race can go extinct. I believe that couples should give birth to the number of children that they can take care of, problems arises when partners choose to be irresponsible and have unprotected sex, and bring children into the world that they're not ready to take care of, and couples who think that having many children is an achievement, especially when they don't have the money to take care of many children. If poor people can have fewer children, then there won't more destitute children on the streets.
179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto investment is exhausting for some ? on: May 22, 2024, 06:39:37 AM
Everybody cannot be a pilot or a dancer, same thing with cryptocurrency, we're here because we find passion in the crypto industry, so the OP friend is not necessarily lazy because crypto processes bores him, you'd be surprised that what he likes might be boring to you. Except for crypto trading that requires special skills like knowing fundamental and technical analysis, I think that crypto investments are quite easy, that is if you're holding a reputable long term cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, all you need to do is keep your seed phrase in a secured please and listen to crypto news.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest Only In a Coin that Increase in Value in this Bull Run. on: May 22, 2024, 05:37:39 AM

And those kind of projects are the once always having one problem to the other. Upgrading issues, site maintaining issues, and others issues so before you know that they have collapsed in the midst of confusion. Please steer clear and buy and invest in popular well known altcoins projects like Ethereum, Solana, Litecoin, dogecoin, and few more. Avoid any coin that is not improving in value.
I've come to understand that reputations matters in the crypto space, whether it's coins, tokens or exchanges, people prefer the ones that have built trust to invest their money in, therefore they're very skeptical about new projects because they don't know whether it's legit or scam. That is why to know how to research a project in the crypto market is very important, it will give you some insights about the history of the projects, to minimize the risks of losing money in shitcoins. Also any projects that can not be bullish in the bull run is not worth putting money in it, because there's no hope of it being profitable in bear run.
