Is it true?

I think it's high time that btc-e dropped all those nonsense dinosaur coins and replace them with XMR. It just makes sense.

The longer they take to add Monero while keeping these shitcoin, worse are their perceived image overall IMO, Cryptsy e.g. has 0 trust from me now.

These exchanges might not have the technical ability to add XMR. When Mintpal upgraded to V2.0, most bitcoin clone coins were stolen by the owner, but not the XMR as he did not figure out a way to do that.

For cryptsy this can be debunked, since the devs offered help with integrating.

...and KoziTwo's payment gateway has been available for some time.

CrapSea is welcome to shun Monero for as long as they please.  That place is so scamcoin friendly (#1 Darkcoin volume and in bed with GAW/Paycoin) it would make XMR look bad to be seen there.

Forget them, the place we need to be is BTC-E.  Who is up for a trip to Bulgaria and fun with Putin's dark-glasses wearing buddies?   Cool

This, with capital T H I & S.

Btc-e or bitfinex. A serious project deserves a serious exchange.

Add another 50.

I also added 50. I think it's vital for the XMR-community to make merchant adoption easier. We need to get a little economy going!

Exchanges, services, merchants, gambling sites etc need to have as little bounderies as possible.

It might take a little while to see... but prepare to behold what anti-fragile looks like.

The word is spreading fast these days...

Everytime there's a discussion on r/bitcoin or somewhere else a rally starts. The word is spreading lately, I foresee great moves.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 14, 2015, 12:08:41 PM
I will.  Intermediate goal is to save up and reach the 10,000 Monero mark (almost there).  I'm pretty sure that should put me in/around the top 100 current holders.

I mean, it's at 50 cents parity before we even have a solid graphical wallet (which sounds juicy from what the devs are saying), and we're only on one reputable exchange.

I like these odds.  I'll poke around and learn more about it over the coming weeks.  I'm still in the first chapters of my "Mathematical Introduction to Cryptography" so I probably won't be able to contribute much technically.  I have other talents though.

Welcome. Your are not the only one because there was an over 20,000 XMR spike just over an hour ago.

Indeed, that was a solid marketbuy, and a smart one for that matter. Some of the bidwall action is moving forward already. It's looking good technically.

Donated an additional 100 xmr. This time to the core-team instead of individual projects.

Keep up the good work. Excited for the LMDB implementation!
Capslock, thanks for keeping the scores!

This ofcourse has nothing to do with meeting fluffy soon, and me being wanting to look less stingy  Tongue

I'm under the assumption we ain't seen nothing yet. 42 btc might look like a lot of money now, though on a global scale it's the tiniest drop. Note that xmr doesn't have to live up to its full promise to be incredibly profitable when bought at 0.00165. It has only just begun.

If only the tiniest percentage of people believe in the tiniest chance for monero to be able to fly we're gonna be well over 10$ a coin. That actually makes al the selling and shorting remarks at these levels quite amusing actually.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 30, 2015, 02:58:34 PM
Not really, probability of going severely sub .002 (like 0.0015ish) is not that great. A lot of buying happens when going lower than 2. So basicly it can go to 0.0015 briefly max (which is like 30% gain from current 0.0021) if you time it right. I think EV is not positive for a short here. If you can manage to short a little higher, like 23-24ish you'd have good odds.

Yes, get your turbo shorts in place. I just closed my european/asian shorts today. Kept the US's open. Hopefully will find a nice execution moment today/tomorrow.  Tongue

WARNING - these are not "official", as in, someone from the core dev team didn't compile them and gave them the a-ok. I'm putting them here for testing purposes. I compiled following the instructions on the github. Perhaps they are static? Perhaps you can run the LMDB version of bitmonerod on your win 64 box and only use 50 megs of ram?

https://mega.co.nz/#!5YNACDTJ!N0pIow27_Tfsx4dMfMq4HA11ZSlEt7L135HvYEOuBU8

perhaps you can swap in the relevant .exe files from the above into the /resources/software/ folder of MoneroX you can have a monero GUI on windows 64 that sips RAM like a fine wine?

AGAIN - don't trust these. Test them until you trust them. Make sure they do everything they should do. I tested them on the box I compiled on and another windows 7 box.

Hopefully someone will post the data.mdb download link.

( removed the converter thing)

wow, no takers? I thought "the drooling masses" would be all over this.

I'll pbb download it when I get home gingy, thanks.

Jackson Palmer shorted the bottom, with leverage.

Well well well.. Looks like we got ragedumped to <0.002. Pretty amusing to see the heavy emotions involved here. This is a game of the brain rather then the heart. Don't loose yourself in the manic depressed state roaming in the xmr topics now, the coin/project isn't that different than 2 weeks ago when bitcoin parity was being predicted (also foolish, manical even). It goes up, it goes down

I would've thought that we would stop around the 22.5-23.8 region, guess I was wrong. Sub 2 is buying opportunity. This project has a lot of good stuff coming.
180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: April 24, 2015, 01:32:13 PM
Luc, i'm wondering, since I've seen charts from gold as well, do you also analyze the major indices? DJX SPX?

If so, what are your thoughts on the current conditions?
