ahh shi*

I wanted to order a card and I just read this. I cant order cards now or am i missing something?

Are you going now with master card or you will stay with VISA?

Hello,

The new card program is being developed already, we'll announce all the details regarding the new cards a little bit later, stay tuned for the updates!
Currently it is not possible to order a card, but all other services are available and the new cards are coming soon.

Be honest, are new cards really coming or it's just some marketing behind your words?

They are really coming! New cards should be available for orders in a couple of months, we're very hard at work on the new card program. We don't want to disclose any details of it yet, but as soon as everything is ready to go we'll let everyone know all the information.

Hello. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused. It's our card issuer who has stopped the operation of all cards following the demands of Visa.
The good news is that are already working on a new card program, although some preparations and technical changes are required before it can be launched. It's a matter of a few months. If you are happy to wait we will gladly provide the best card then!

I hope you will soon introduce a new card product. I used the Wave Crest Visa card for about a year, followed by the short-lived C.Pay cards which you discontinued a few days after I received the USD and a EUR cards.

If you will release new cards, please let everyone know. My Cryptopay app is still on my phone waiting to be loaded with coins.

For now, I’m using the Mistertango MasterCard but the one issue with this card is the annual ATM transaction limit of EUR 20,000 which is a bit low for me.

Hello,

Thank you for your trust in us. We're working very hard on the new card program and we'll definitely let everyone know as soon as we get some concrete information on the launch date!

Hi!

It's hard to make a prognosis at the moment, but we will definitely keep you updated about the situation.

Basically I have made a purchase some time ago, I have bought a faulty item with Crypropay debit card and the seller is planning to send me a refund directly to the card I have made a purchase from. Does it mean that he now wont be able to do that? What happens if somebody makes a payment to my blocked card? This is the first time I am having this problem. Thanks

Hello,

You can receive a refund to the card. Let us know when the refund is sent and we'll unload the funds to your account with Cryptopay.

Please Cryptopay can you anticipate what will be the EUR limits of unverified users for this new card (plastic/virtual)? 1000€, 250€, less? Anything less than 250€ is useless imho but I hope you could offer the previous 1000€ limit.
Thanks

Is the site supposed to be operational still? I had a failed CPAY token withdrawal, then the cards got suspended and now I can't even find the old "Support Chat" in the bottom-right corner where it used to annoy me (to try nagging the Support about the token withdrawal issue). Undecided

Hello,

Everything is working fine, except for the cards.
It is strange you can't find the chat, it is up and running! You can always contact us via email instead, it is support@cryptopay.me. Please don't hesitate to write to us so we can help with the token withdrawal issue.

I just need withdraw my 20 eur, I missed deadline to spend, or cryptopay has no function to send fiat between user for free like many others  similar service ?
In other words 20 eur in cryptopay balance worthless, if I can't withdraw, can't transfer and can't spend? Even if someday fee get back to 0.0005 btc, this does not mean that value at that time will be less.
And in general why I should buy again btc, if have purpose to sell (done it, and already  pay fee for exchange and for loading card ) and spend fiat?

No, unfortunately, we don't have such an option to transfer between users' wallets for free. Sorry for the inconvenience Sad
The only alternative to withdraw that we can offer is sending 20 EUR to your bank account if you have one in EUR within the SEPA zone. The min withdrawal is 10 EUR so you will be fine. Please note that your account has to be verified.

It does not look good. Even if they find a new issuer to create and send out cards to everyone, it will take months!

What do you guys recommend as replacement?

Hi!

We are already working on a new card program, although some preparations and technical changes are required before it can be launched. There is no definite timeline yet, but we will do everything in our power to make it happen.

I received the remnant amount of 20 EUR to my balance, now question what should I do with them? withdraw to btc impossible , because tx fee 0.003btc or 39 EUR !!!

The fee was 0.005 a couple of days ago which is ridiculous, I still have a pending deposit from Hitbtc to EUR account for a couple of days already and there's still nothing. I guess we will have to wait for a new issuer and there is nothing we can do now, it may take months.

Hello,

We calculate the fee based on the average fee of the network. We might set it higher to ensure the funds reach the destination without being stuck unconfirmed for days. I understand it is expensive these days Sad But we can speed up the transactions only by increasing the fee. If you disagree with the fee, it is possible to wait until the network is stable again and the traditional 0.0005 BTC fee is back.

173  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay Bitcoin Debit card + Giveaway on: January 01, 2018, 06:14:18 PM
if you're within the old limit of 1000$ you can still load your card and use it until 17 January when the limits will be lowered.

After 17 January and the new rules on EU countries only, do unverified have to provide proof they are in EU apart from giving you EU address?

Hello,

Only if they want to raise the limits.
174  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay Bitcoin Debit card + Giveaway on: December 27, 2017, 09:26:55 AM
Hello,
Apologies for the long quote, but if this is true, then why have you not updated the info on your site (https://cryptopay.me/bitcoin-debit-card)?
It clearly states lifetime load €1000.

Hello! We have some good news regarding the new card limits. Our card issuer has agreed to keep the old ones for one more month so more people will get a chance to spend the money from their card's balance if they don't want to get verified and those who intend to raise the limits will have more time to complete their verification. We understand that the verification procedures can be tough and might take a considerable amount of time. We recommend you uploading the verification documents as soon as you can in case there are any issues/additional docs needed. The new card limits will be implemented starting from 17 January.
Have a great weekend!

Kind regards,
Cryptopay Team

What this means at the end, if I'm unverified EU user I can still spend 1000$ on the VISA card, I thought the limit was lowered to 250$  Huh
I have not signed in to my account for 2 months.
Does this mean that I can recharge my card and use it again?
I am a little confused

Hi,

if you're within the old limit of 1000$ you can still load your card and use it until 17 January when the limits will be lowered.

It's almost 2018 and I'm still patiently waiting for a solution to the debit card dilemma. My Wave Crest and C.Pay cards are inactive but I am still keeping the app on my phone, hoping one day I might see an invitation to apply for your newest card product.

What should I do with the EUR and USD C.Pay cards? Are they definitely no longer valid? Should I cut them in half and discard them?

I'm visiting Japan next month and was hoping I might have a bitcoin debit card for some shopping in Osaka and Tokyo. Instead I have to buy a thick wad of Yen notes at a money changer downtown.

Any plans in progress for upcoming cards? Or is the card business as good as dead?

Hello!

We really appreciate your dedication and support. Every day we work for users like you to find an alternative card issuer and start issuing our cards to the countries outside the EEA again. We have some progress on the matter. The official announcement will be made once we know all the details. The current cards are not going to work for sure since VISA has updated their terms on 15 October and they are not likely to reverse the old conditions. You can cut the card in half or keep it as it is, it is up to you. We will keep you posted on the progress in getting the new card issuer. Stay with us!
Heart,
Cryptopay Team

i notice that there are three currencies in the wallet.
Assuming I got GBP card , if the wallet is loaded with bitcoin that and sent it to the euro account part.(would be 1% fee)
Do you still incur a foreign transaction fee if then used in euros?

Or do you load it with pounds and then if you use it (shops, fuel stations etc) around the rest of Europe, does it convert/draw from the GBP or Euro account? (incuring a 3% fee???)
Same with international ATM fees.
Which part of the wallet does the funds come from?

Hi,

You can load the card off any wallet, if the currency of the wallet is different from the currency of the card, 1% fee is charged.
Once you've loaded the card (assuming you have a GBP one), the funds are already stored in GBP and if you pay or withdraw in euros the funds will be converted from GBP to EUR, making it a Foreign Transaction.

Quote

whilst in Spain, in a restaurant a waiter made an error taking payment from a credit card.
The payment was cancelled immediately and the new payment made, the initial payment returned. What happens in this case on a prepaid debit card?
Can a erroneous payment be refunded immediately or  doe it have to be done another way?

If the transaction is cancelled it will most likely stay pending and will be returned to the account within 14 business days.

I would like to apply for the promo code for GBP card.
I would be using the card to pay for goods and services in the UK, online payment and possibly use traveling around Europe.

Could you also clarify on the points in my previous posts?

The code is sent to your private messages  Smiley  Enjoy using the card!

Hows the 1usd card fee charged? from balance?  if card has 0 balance?

Thanks

Hello,

It is charged off the card balance. If the card has 0 balance the fee will be charged once the card is loaded again.
