in a couple months the price is going to the moon. Guaranteed.

you think by march itll be worth at least a dollar? But ive noticed btc is going down hard. What if btc isnt worth anything more by then?

Then BTC isn't worth one dollar... ?  Roll Eyes Wink
But come on, be serious, why so dramatic...  Smiley
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MOBILE MESSAGING | OPAL DRIVE | HTML5 WALLET on: January 04, 2015, 02:23:24 PM
I repeat myself:

I restarted my wallet, now sync. seems to be complete, but again my last stakes and withdraw are not confirmed.
Opalcoin.conf is full with nodes... that can't be my problem.

So i guess i have to reload the whole chain again like yesterday... but why? Sad

E: I do a fresh reload of the chain... hopefully last time for the near future.  Roll Eyes Wink
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MOBILE MESSAGING | OPAL DRIVE | HTML5 WALLET on: January 04, 2015, 02:03:32 PM
My wallet syncd for a moment. It showed my weight above 17000+ while network weight 3000+. Its been staking like crazy, almost every minute. Then desync and 1900+ blocks to dl...

Same here... now i restartet my wallet and again i miss my last stakes and my last withdraw from trex. I cann see them, but they are not confirmed, just collided/in conflict.
So i guess i have to reload the whole chain again... ? Any better solutions?

That is pretty annoying... never had probs with Opal.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MOBILE MESSAGING | OPAL DRIVE | HTML5 WALLET on: January 04, 2015, 01:40:52 PM
Oh no, don't know why but my Opal wallet crashed again over night... it's the same like yesterday. (All my other wallets didn't crashed, why my Opal...  Undecided)

I just restarted it now and the blockchain sync stucks at block 1915... i will wait some minutes too see what happens.
It is weird...

This has happened to me too. Looking into it now..
Crazy...

My sync. is so slow... 3 blocks in 15minutes, 1912 to go...
How can i speed this up safely? Any command for console?

I think restart the wallet won't help when i think about yesterday... also i don't want to reload the whole chain again.
Sync would be fast if i start with a fresh wallet, but so many data...  Lips sealed

Hey all, i have a little problem with my wallet and some missing/lost opals/transactions.
I did my last back up yesterday in the evening before i went to bed, same as usual. Wink

This morning i looked at my wallet and found it with an error. So i closed the wallet an opened it, but it crashed again, don't know why... anyhow i decided to create a new wallet with my last backup.
Blockchain is now complete and i have almost all coins back, but i miss a few stakes and most important my last withdraw from Bittrex which was about 680 Opal.
These missing stakes and my withdraw are my last transactions, from 02.01.2015 and they are marked as collides/conflict ?

My wallet backup is newer, but i am not able to get my last missing coins back.
If someone could help and explain, thanks a lot! Maybe i can get my last coins back...

Greets 0bert

Go to console and type repairwallet.  If you need help, pm me
Did it:

"wallet check passed" : true

Nothing changed.

Update:
I have all my Opals back, all confirmed!  Smiley

First i did a(nother) fresh reload of blockchain just with my last wallet.dat backup and opalcoin.conf. Received all my coins, except of some stakes and my last withdraw from trex.
Deleted everything again, except wallet.dat and config, reload again and wow: all coins confirmed!  Wink Cheesy
Don't know what i did wrong before, but know it's all good!
Also thanks to bassguitar!  Smiley

171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.0 Automated Transactions on: January 02, 2015, 10:39:39 PM
Hey@all!

I am new to Burst and i want to mine some coins, at least try it.  Grin
I will study the guide now/soon, just did a quick scan...

I have a GTX 670, so i guess i should use the GPU Plotter.

But which miner do you recommend? It doesn't matter or some differences between them?

Maybe most important:
How many TB i should take to start... ? (Guide said 2TB, but it's old...  Wink)
(Some small payouts on poolmining after 24h lately would be enough to begin with...  Smiley)

Anything else i should know?
Thanks for you help!

Greets 0bert

I mine with a very small plot, some 300gb and I get some small payments let's say an average of 100 coins a day (way below roi but I do it for fun), so 2TB is okay.

GPU plot > optimize > mine

If you're on nix preferred miner is dcct (or that is the word on the street IIRC, I'm using windows)
On windows it's blago's miner and uray's miner

Study the guide, it is not half bad. I managed to set it up on my own. I was, and still am, a noob. Therefore it should not be too difficult.

If you get stuck, ask away

Thank you, good infos!
First i would start on windows, so blago's or uray's miner, alright! Smiley

btw:
Does it matter how fast my hdd is? Or just bigger is better?
What about SSD?  Grin Cheesy (just curious, don't want to use it)

177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MaryJane the Chill, Sexy & Secure Coin...[ANN|MARYJ] on: December 30, 2014, 07:20:15 PM
Yeah this coin is going to reach a dollar with ease. If all the bag holders just relax and don't sell then we could walk the price up to 15$ with ease. Also, there are some very cool things being done with this MaryJ that is not public information, so my advice to you all is to sit tight and hang on to your coins. Things are moving along quickly, and before you know it we're going to be above a 10$ a coin.
1+
Maybe we will see one whole ounce for 1 coin someday... far away now, but realistic, for those with a vision.  Wink Smiley

just to remember... or to inform, maybe we will see some news someday Wink

Not the fastet way, but the safest: format your drive and reinstall your OS.  Smiley

The best thing to do is to have a good web behaviour:
Otherwise, once you "cleaned" your computer, you will catch/bring back malwares from your (or your friend's) USB flash drive or from an external hard drive, from a PDF document, from an infected website, from a link in a website or a mail....

Once your computer is clean: please apply these rules:

-1 never click anywhere, obviously on unknown message or box telling you "your computer is slow/infected/corrupted".

-2 never click on a url or a link embedded in an email, except for the confirmation email you just received from a log in.

-3 never open any attached doc in an email: download it, and scan it with your Antivirus.
(see part 6)

-4 never use a kind of computer/booster software except CCleaner: piriform.com/ccleaner

-5 use Mozilla Firefox, it is more secure than others, (note: if you used Chrome before, i suggest you to uninstall it as Chrome slows Firefox !!!), never record password with your browser.

-6 scan each downloads you make with your antivirus (except maybe windows update): dont scan the .zip or .rar file: extract them first AND scan the extracted folders.

-7 always make your updates: Windows update, Firefox update, Adobe Flash & Acrobat update, but also Java and Silverlight's update.

-8 full-scan your computer with Malwarebytes, under safe mode, each half-month, or if you feel your computer is very slow plug your USB flash drive and start a complete scan.
-open the start menu (the windows flag for windows 8 )
    -type: msconfig.exe then press Enter.
-click the "Boot" Tab and choose "Safe boot", choose "Minimal" then click "ok" and " then "restart".
-Quarantine all the stuff you find except maybe your Cgminer, Sgminer, cudaminer software. if you find a Backdoor, a Trojan or a worm: Change all your password (use different passwords for each tools/forum/mail).
-After the scan, open the start menu (the windows flag for windows 8 ) and type: msconfig.exe then press Enter.
click the "Boot" Tab and uncheck Safe boot, then select "Make all boot settings permanent".
then click "ok", then "yes" (on the poped-up system configuration windows) and " then "restart".

-9 (optional but very useful) install Noscript (only for Firefox), in order to block Javascript, Flash or Silverlight, download: noscript.net/
                                             tips for the settings: ghacks.net/2014/02/10/firefox-noscript-guide-waiting/
                                                                          ghacks.net/2013/05/25/top-5-noscript-features-that-you-may-not-know-about/
you need to whitelist your trusted website, right click on the "S" of noscript (upper left corner of your browser) and left-click "allow exampleyourtrustedwebsite.com
tip: a middle click on the "S" of noscript Allow temporarily the website you visit.

-10 for Laptops: turn off the bluetooth connection: Click Menu Start ->Control Panel-> Network and Internet, then click "Network and Sharing Center" (on the left column of the Network and Sharing Center)
then click on "Change adapter settings" Right click "Bluetooth Network Connection", select "Disable".

If you apply these rules, on a clean computer: it will be very safe ! Wink

You are so right, great guide! Smiley
But i wouldn't feel safe with this old infected/cleaned OS... anyhow, thx again! Wink
