Oh no, don't know why but my Opal wallet crashed again over night... it's the same like yesterday. (All my other wallets didn't crashed, why my Opal... ) I just restarted it now and the blockchain sync stucks at block 1915... i will wait some minutes too see what happens. It is weird... This has happened to me too. Looking into it now..

I just launched my Opal wallet and Malwarebytes gave this warning. Malicious website blocked. IP 89.248.160.238 port 50990 Inbound Opalcoin.qt Anyone seen like this? This not the compromised wallet. This was a wallet from Opal web page. COME ON GUYS. THIS COULD BE BAD NEWS FOR PEOPLE HERE> CHECK YOUR WALLETS Gets worse. I sent 10000 Opal to Poloniex and got 11 confirmations but they never arrived at Polo. There seems to be some hijack going on. Anyone out there today? An inbound connection is not normal if nobody is supposed to be connected to your opal wallet (even when you are downloading the blocks, because it come from outbound connections) No one of my Qt Wallets accept the inbound connections, but it depend of what are you doing with your wallet? Anyway this IP seems to be legit: http://peerexplorer.info -> 153 ECATEL LTD 89.248.160.238 89.248.160.238 1.3.4 InstantDEX2 0 13 minutes ago Netherlands

I think restart the wallet won't help when i think about yesterday... also i don't want to reload the whole chain again. Sync would be fast if i start with a fresh wallet, but so many data...

Same here... now i restartet my wallet and again i miss my last stakes and my last withdraw from trex. I cann see them, but they are not confirmed, just collided/in conflict. So i guess i have to reload the whole chain again... ? Any better solutions? That is pretty annoying... never had probs with Opal.

Please try adding the following lines to your Opalcoin.conf file and restarting the wallet: addnode=seeds.altcoin.center addnode=seeds.altcoincenter.eu addnode=seeds.altcoincenter.us
addnode=192.99.111.227 addnode=198.50.151.86 addnode=5.196.226.54 addnode=5.196.29.188Please let me know if that helps! - Jyri -- Altcoin.Center

Dev team, I am having problems also. All my staked coins from 01/01/2015 at 7pm to 01/03/2015 at 9am that had been confirmed previously are now rejected. The sync function of my wallet is also strange. I am stuck on the block 134,537 of 136,474 blocks, but in the block explorer website ( http://blockexperts.com/opal) the current block is the 134,537 as well. Is there something wrong with my wallet? In order to test my wallet, yesterday I bought ~95 OPAL from Bittrex. However, I have not received my coins yet. I have written "repairwallet" and the answer was "{"wallet check passed" : true}". What am I doing wrong? I am an investor of this currency and do not have technical expertise. I have cold storage backups of my wallet. Could you please help me? Thank you in advance, Kind regards.

I repeat myself: I restarted my wallet, now sync. seems to be complete, but again my last stakes and withdraw are not confirmed. Opalcoin.conf is full with nodes... that can't be my problem. So i guess i have to reload the whole chain again like yesterday... but why? E: I do a fresh reload of the chain... hopefully last time for the near future.

I would be very interested in hearing of the results of re-downloading the chain. Yours, Jyri -- Altcoin.Center

But i am confused and curious what caused my wallet error and why it won't resync complete when i restart it first time after this error... !?! Maybe it's a simple bug... i have patience. To all the others who got this error: don't panic! And backup frequently... Also thanks to you Jyri for your reply! Greets 0bert

Anyone who needs help join irc.
We cannot help with exchanges, as they have their own systems. Cryptsy has recently been missing deposits, and withdrawls, so we recommend Bittrex or poloniex

Really interesting stuff - great insights, Bassguitarman!
Those tech difficulties at the beginning were quite hilarious. =D
Good that it's working now - this is possibly one of the most interesting interviews ever. =)
-j.
EDIT: I hope someone is recording this. I'd love to have a copy. This is history in the making.
