Yes found two gems. ALT scene is coming back with a lot of opportunity right now IMO.
So what is next for DASH? Are there any conferences we can attend?

...
I see a world where DASH is worth $100 and DIGIBYTE is worth $1 ...Bitcoins will be digital gold type of thing.

Its amazing how the crypto world worked itself out like this so perfectly. Just natural for DASH to succeed now.

Fudders are working, they are angry because Ether, maid, etc are falling and dash price is strong
couldnt find the thread, but Evan actually proposed a re-release of darkcoin to give another chance but it was scrubbed because the people wanted to keep the distribution as it was.

Interesting 10K (90 BTC) sell wall at 0.009 on Cryptsy ... who wants 10 masternodes on discount ?  Grin
Lend me 90 bitcoins and I promise to pay you back 100 bitcoins in exactly 1 year. (on pain of loss of afterlives, all of them)
TIA  Grin

There are a few threads going on over at r/Bitcoin about incentivizing nodes that might be of interest to people here.  Dash has been mentioned in both of them.
Thanks for the info.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3p84us/to_node_or_not_to_node_exploring_incentives_to/
and
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3p5n9c/number_of_bitcoin_nodes_is_at_a_6_year_low_if_you/

'The other problem is that it's not easy to set a bandwidth rate limit.
I believe that more people would run nodes if the Bitcoin client just ran unobtrusively and reliably in the background, consuming no more than about 100GB of bandwidth per month by default. '

Monero have got you for advertising and we have this.

so... You guys have pretty ladies and we have real decent working technology that is appreciated by several well known reputable people
If you want snake oil covered girls, great. Go for it.
We have decent tech, no girls. I can live with that.

The point I was making, it is going to take more than one guy handing out leaflets at someone else's presentation to market a product.

No matter how good your tech is (debatable), do you think Joe Public are really interested in the highly technical stuff behind the scenes, perhaps handing out leaflets with Monero source code at a another gate crashed meeting would be considered a hi-end marketing approach, you can of course expect people to fall over in swathes of adoration because your code is just soo good, it will even make guys faint at the merest glimpse, its that good in fact that no real marketing at all is required, zip.

I have an idea, you could perhaps hack the wifi projector at this meeting?
http://btcmiami.com/speakers/

You do realise that any spam you manage to push into people's faces will be out of date by the time you get it together, yes?

I admit one thing about you guys that is more anonymous, and that is your team, apart from the marketing guru (i.e. you),
nobody knows anyone else, do you think everyone can remain anonymous and still get the whole world to use Monero?

Just because Satoshi managed anonymous does not mean others can follow suit, almost all of the successful coins have known developers, exactly who is it you have again, Smooth or Smoothie, fluffypony?

At some point if you want to market your coin, it will take more than gate crashing/trolling/faking other peoples meetings/threads/personal space with cheap flyers to get your cultish agenda across, what is it you have planned again to help sell your 'product' ??

have a nice day,

Sub-Ether.

P.S. hope to see you again at the next meeting, please don't disappoint.

By the way, the picture of me handing out the flyer needs some context:
I didn't hand the flyers out to everybody, I chose people based on conversations I had with them or questions they asked during Q&A.
That guy did had some valid criticism towards DASH. I talked to him about the functioning monero technology that is live. I think he appreciated this, after a presentation full of BS tech that isn't usable and a marketing talk containing some "announcements" that basically was a vague slide with no implementation.

Looks fine to me but if it bothers you we also have these folks...

Morning guys, question please for anyone?

Sub-Ether was at a party yesterday, and at said party he started discussing Dash masternodes to an IT guy(as you do) and went on to talk about the anonymization features and the fact that lots of people are having their accounts closed by good ol Brian at Coinbase.

Explaining the Dash concepts came with some understanding, where I come unstuck was I said that bitcoins can become marked or 'tainted' and this shows where they came from as an potential identifier.
My question is, how easy is it to mark a bitcoin, and if then marked, does that mean the hash is placed in the blockchain hence can it be traced indefinitely, perhaps with a 10 byte indentifier in the transaction somehow, or does/can the id get removed in future transactions?
(not including bitcoindark or other 3rd party workarounds, bitcoin to bitcoin out of the box, as is)

TIA

Hello Otoh,

I deeply apologize for the recent delays....
...We have been undergoing major site upgrades, part of which is the verification systems. Some users who have verified
accounts have been affected with these delays.
I see that you have withdrawals pending and these should now process soon as we are nearing completion of our upgrade....

Sincerely,
Jim  aka: JShock

Hello Otoh,
Your LTC withdrawal has processed, BTC withdrawal should move soon.
I had to cancel the XRP withdrawals, please try sending those again.

-----------------------------------
As to using them again, it is always good when an exchange recovers from adversity and makes everyone good again and as Tungfa said to me: Cryptsy is weird as they have always been, but eventually they always pull through (In my opinion with them).

So I expect that I will be using them again, their handing and communication of this outage could have been way better than it was, I expect it will be a long time now, if ever, that I feel confident enough to leave up that large an amount of bid walls there again though.

Edit: I didn't have any XRP or XRP withdrawals with them.
Thats good news-sounds like you will get the btc, but they are sloppy, even with the XRP withdrawel that didn't exist  Roll Eyes
It kind of put a little damper on your Amsterdam excursion, but hey ho thats life, stick to the golden rule, do not store much at exchanges, eh.
Good luck with your travels, and perhaps we'll meet again one day when not expected  Smiley

Cryptsy have returned 2,886 LTC that I had on them over a week ago, just 70 odd BTC to go which it now looks like will be forthcoming shortly, so with the DASH that I was previously able to withdrawal that will be all of my > $50,000 bid wall funds safely returned, many thanks for those who wished for a good outcome in this and a big GFY to the haters who can only try and find some small thrill in the possible misfortune of others, to them - all that you wish on others will one day come back to you and many times over, try and learn from it and be less (self) destructive going forward perhaps.
Great, well you half way there, and litecoin even went up a little in the process.
Did you have an explanation from Cryptsy for the delay, and would you use them again, or is that it terminal outski from the big vern fraternity?

If your post was about or even mentioned Dash it would be on-topic.
But it does not, so it isn't.
Sorry. Thought you might have liked that bit of flattery  Wink
Back on topic as you say.
P.S. You have penetrated the Dashthread INTRUSION COUNTERMEASURES ELECTRONICS in an unsolicited social hack. You are therefore hereby identified as the Dashthread star iCEBREAKER.
Congratulations
(Hope you don't mind me upgrading your avatar from that slightly poxy one that's now a bit long in the tooth  Wink  )
Fanatical and cult-like, same as the wretch with the monero flyers at the presentation.

I tested darksend today!
I must say, I like it that you can premix your coins and then use that "dark balance" for sending anonymous transactions  Grin
Pretty impressed by the GUI as well.
My only remark (also related to the thing below) is that it took nearly 3 hours to mix 2 DASH... That seems a bit slow, but hopefully if we get more masternodes online, that won't be an issue anymore. But I'm willing to wait a bit. Privacy has a price, in this case it's waiting time.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't mixing slow sometimes because of a lack of people mixing, not the number of masternodes?
There is a bug in latest version I think,
I asked Evan about it in Amsterdam, he was surprised is was running so slow. Am sure all will get sorted asap, as soon as everyone has got over their jet lag and dived back into the coding work.

Many thanks, I got access to my account back, but no sign of the BTC or LTC as yet and no response for the last couple of days to my many support requests, no explanation, no money, nothing.
FFS, are you still chasing those bitcoins and litecoins, thats worrying, sorry about the situation, bet you feel helpless when they ain't answering support, that guy who had 5k dash stuck for over a week, did finally get them in end I heard.
(I presume your phone got others, because they went straight afterwards, btw)

Your not the only one who's noticed that....
The subtle common factor amongst many of them  - both implicitly and explicitly - is a mindset that believes in the supremacy of technology over the human.
Here's a backgrounder, straight from one of its own staff members: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=971275.0
Holy moly, such self indulgent naive ego-centric ramblings, reminds me of a philosophy student I shared a house with at university when he came home drunk(lol), hard to take seriously some one who recommends a Tom Cruise movie as a key learning point Roll Eyes

Y'know, the genuine trolls methods are many fold, scare away anyone interested, divide groups, spread rumour... and many more subtle ways too such as encouraging hostility and the result of that is we do their work for them. Unless binaryFate sold his account at some stage then I can safely say he's not a troll and any impression of hostility on his part is likely the result of the same subtle trolling that's effecting us.
Thank you.
I know this thread is under constant "attack", but indeed responding like some do isn't gonna help elevate the level!

Over 5000 pages of constant spamming and nasty disinfo by Monero fanboys, means that anyone with a Monero signature is automatically labelled a troll, sorry if I typecast you wrong but there have not been any other exceptions as yet.
