Hi all,

What a roller coaster we've been on this week. Looks like a lot of it was from the Baidu news and the buying activity that came out of China!

Here are this weeks payouts:

Apologies to those wanting to join, I'm not currently accepting new members to this scheme. My current budget for forum advertising is $100 a week. With 0.62 BTC paid out this week I'm already over. As the startup grows I'll increase this over time.

Thanks for those who have been loyal advertisers all this time.

See you next week!
162  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid weekly for your signature on: October 20, 2013, 09:58:06 PM
And here are the payouts:

0.59 BTC paid out this week, at today's rate thats $106.

I've not tracked stats for the scheme every week but the payouts must add up to the thousands now! Spend (or save!) wisely.

Can anyone recommend a bitcoin client that will let me make these payouts in bulk? Something that would take CSV or Tab delimited values would be really convenient for me.

Hi everyone,

Hope your week has been good. A massive rally this week up to $185 must have put some smiles on your faces Cheesy. I hope you've all pocketed from the increase.

This weeks payouts are coming shortly.

The payouts have been adjusted to reflect the price increases, I've held off for as long as possible but I have a limited budget for advertising and would like this scheme to carry on for as long as possible, here's what I've done:

When the scheme was originally created, the price was $100/btc, it now sits at just over $180/btc. This reflects an 80% increase in the price of bitcoin. Although the payouts have been reduced by 1/3 (33%), inflation adjusted this will count as a USD increase in size of the original payouts.

Hi all,

Its payday once again  Grin. Here are this weeks payouts:

We've been paying out now for 4 months and counting. There have been big market moves today. Congrats to those who are long bitcoin (I'm guessing all of you are...) and a bigger congrats to anyone who has long positions on btc.sx. We've seen a massive surge in trading volume with some good profits being paid out to our traders.

MtGox is sitting at $150. As before if the price stays above this level I'll readjust the payouts slightly.

Spend wisely! See you all at $200??? Wink

The Australian Bitcoin Foundation is already being established as we speak. The contact you're after is Jason Williams, the organiser of the Sydney Bitcoin Meetup group:

http://meetup.com/Sydney-Bitcoin/

We've been busy recently organising the Beers for Bitcoins event and features on Today Tonight!

They already have a number of people who represent at the higher level foundation meetings.

If you're based in Sydney, come down to the GPO for our weekly bitcoin meet ups on Wednesdays.

Virtual money Bitcoin has just arrived in Australia, and is allowing people to pay for drinks and food without real money.

Hi there Aussie Bitcoiners!

There will be a feature about the Sydney bitcoin community on the Today Tonight show later today (Tuesday 8th Oct). It'll include coverage of our recent 'Beers 4 Bitcoins' event which saw Sydney's first pub accepting bitcoin last month.

For those outside of Australia, the Today Tonight show is a current affairs tv show.

Can somebody record it to share with the community?

Hi all,

Thanks for the patience.

This week has been unconventional to say the least. Either way I wanted to make some sort of payout so here is what I've done:

- Doubled all post counts this week.
- Calculated the payouts based on the doubled counts.
- Halved the payouts.

Without overcomplicating things too much this is the best I could come up with. I understand that this may not be 100% fair on everyone, especially those who prefer to post on certain days of the week however the payouts are final. Apologies if this was you, normal payouts will resume next week so keep posting.

Kind regards
Seal

just a question out of curiosity: do we recieve payment for last week? or like 50%?

shit i hope so. i'm about .05 btc short of this sweet mobo/cpu combo i've been saving up for.
I don't really see why we should get paid. We didn't actually advertise his site, since the forums were offline pretty much for the whole week, so it's his loss as well.

I'll figure something out shortly after I pull this weeks figured. Thanks for your patience all. I hope to at least do a partial payment.

DiamondCardz - Removed (no sig)

miffman - Removed (no sig)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=83038

I'm going to have to enforce a new rule to keep things trouble free. If you are removed for any reason such as no signature or multiple paid signatures, then you will only be allowed to re-join when slots free up.

manoamano - added
marcovaldo - to be added when your siggy is updated

Woke up and found payment has come in  Cheesy

I am leaving for some time. Can I come back in later?

Can you give some more detail about the site? I went there but did not understand much from the information provided.

Sure. Are you removing the sig or just not posting for a while? If you are not posting for a while I will leave you on the list.

https://plus.google.com/111408248823464804647 - A google plus +

177  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid weekly for your signature on: September 24, 2013, 04:50:41 AM
i think some of my fellow participants in this signature bounty are shills. i think an investigation needs to be made. the posts of half of the accounts here look as if they were made by bots

I think a lot of people do that, unfortunately.  It would definitely be a pain in the ass to search through everyone's posts and then weed out the spammers, though.

Yeah, the 'no trolling' policy was to try and fight against that... its just that it would be a massive effort for me to look through everyones posts and police it, I don't have time to do that every week.

I'd appreciate it if anyone called out these suspicious posters (PM would be fine, i'll keep you anonymous)

Hmmm yeah I'd love to know if some people are abusing this scheme... I'd appreciate any help if you can call out anyone who looks suspicious. Its unfair on the legitimate advertisers on here otherwise.
179  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid weekly for your signature on: September 23, 2013, 02:11:53 AM
Hello again all.

Here are this weeks payouts:

0.94 BTC paid out today. FYI the post count and payouts are now performed on a Monday -> Monday basis.

A few names have been culled from the list because of too many DNQs. If you've been removed but want to re-join, drop me a post here and I'll re-add you to the list.

Culling the list once in a while helps me keep it manageable.

Happy posting! Back to the new branding work on btc.sx.

Now back to coding the new features on the site! I'm looking forward to making it more robust and with some UX improvements too.
