Crazy theory: The PC keys were released as a final pump attempt. Reaching the minimum number of required coins gives people a reason to buy the coin, thus keeping the value from plummeting for just a little bit longer.
Of course, it will crash harder now because of all the extra coins being generated, but this keeps it afloat just a little bit longer for someone to make a final dump.
If there weren't 10% and lower stakes involved in those keys, I would say a pissed off Homero released them.... but, I don't think it's a pump attempt since it had as much chance of tanking it among the Hashtalkers as anything else and those people selling off enough to fill the keys would be a downward pressure. |
