I'm seeing 3403 Masternodes at the moment. Smart traders would have traded MN's and bought and sold on the pump, making enough to buy further MN's. That was my strategy and it worked well. Wither the price is 0.005 or 0.02...these are all short term prices. Ride the pumps and make those that don't wish to hold pay for it. Edit: In my case I did not have to sell my Masternodes...I sold every one of the BTC I had. and I got rewarded big time. Actually "ride the pumps" is the opposite to "hold" since after price reaching the peak it's unprofitable to hold and host MNs for a few months until the price reaches the bottom again. Pumper should jump over the masternode sell wall. That is real pumping. support core team until 2017 january.

Can we achieve 0.1btc?
Yes, but after dumping and after long period of low price. Masternode number decrease after pumping from 3500 to 3400. If pumper could jump over masternode sell wall, the price will level up to 0.1 btc. 0.1BTC, 50$ is suitable value for DASH to masternode supporter. node number change.

Hat off for the 10k DASH dumpers just a few minutes ago. I just went out a little bit and missed the dump, arggggg.
Someone need BTC now.

13000 dash dumping to 0.0100 btc After pumping, fast dumping, and long term low price.

18000 dash for sale at .013 on polo the MN count has dropped by 1
if that guy buys again at .012 the guy makes 1500 Dash
self explaining i would say
the guy wants to make 1500 Dash
the interesting thing i think is that the Dash did not come from the total MN count
Edit well I suppose it could have done if the Dash was pulled out a few days ago ..
There were 3510 MNs a week ago, now there are 3468, so 42+ have been taken down (42 more taken down than new ones put up) i've seen 20 odd get brought in that time so yeah it's all happening thats for sure A masternode owner want to slow down price change. 40 masternode was stopped to drop market price. After price pumping, there is long time of dumping for two years.

Can you remote start masternodes? I'm having to occasionally do this and its annoying as I keep the priv keys on a offline cold wallet.
If your MN was offline more than an hour you have to start it from your local. You can use crontab to check if deamon is running. Copy code below and paste into mn_watch.sh file. Type nano mn_watch.sh, paste with right click, and control x, y, enter to save. Change dashuser to your user name. #!/bin/bash #run with: screen -dm /mn_watch.sh #stop with: screen -ls to find number and screen -X -S 11111 kill while true; do if [ -z `pidof dashd` ]; then echo Dashd is not running trying to start /home/dashuser/dashd sleep 600 else echo Dashd is Running sleep 600 fi done type: chmod +x mn_watch.sh apt-get install screen type: screen -dm /mn_watch.sh I'm not sure if dashman is doing that, great tool. Thanks moocowmoo btw https://dashtalk.org/threads/dashman-linux-masternode-mangement-made-mootastic.6376/eek. So nothing for windows machine? I'm using Splawik service to manage my mn's. It would be kind of cool is someone had a tool made that alerted me when one of my MN's went down. is there such a thing? Use uptimerobot.com to your node address and listen on port 9999. You'll get an email when it goes down and comes back up. Thanks Oblox. Splawik has that end all dialed in for me as part of his service. One of the issues is that as a MN owner...I'd love to know when any one of my MN's go down...Splawik is great at letting me know right away...but I'd like to be able to have a tool that sends me a message to say my smartphone to notify me. What I was asking to start this....can I remote start-alias a cold wallet, I realize this may seem like a stupid questions, but is there such a thing as a virtual instance of a cold wallet? The deal is I'm at remote locations often and I'm not carrying my cold wallet with me...for example when I'm travelling. I've had this happen several times and I'm not able to get to that cold wallet for 2 weeks, missing my payment. this brings me to an interesting though I had the other day...has anyone tried running a Masternode off of a smartphone? I have a Samsung Note 3 and Note 2 and a couple of high end tablets.... I mean most of these new smartphones/tablets are pretty powerful. I have them sitting around doing nothing. thoughts? Moocowmoo changed monitoring dashd process as follow. save following code "actmn" --------------------------------------- #!/bin/sh while true; do if [ -z "$(pidof dashd)" ]; then /home/ubuntu/.dash/dashd & fi sleep 300 done ----------------------- backgroud run chmod +x actmn nohup ./actmn & ------------------------- I've run for 2 week, all dashd is alive....

well i guess i didn't get my check soon enough.. not going to buy and run any MNs after price nearly doubling over the weekend. yes, it's a butt-hurt and selfish thing to say, but i guess you who are DASH-rich can keep on getting rich. maybe i'll go long on metals with simplefx instead. good luck. missed my chance to join the party. enjoy the pepsi and fetus flavoring
Quoted for historical purposes. Just in case you thought about deleting your post there..... .....Now you can come back and re-post it again when DASH hits $10 $15 and $20 You only..."missed my chance to join the party." if you choose to not join the party..... Good luck on the metals I guess..... DASH ON....... [*whip snap*] YA!!!!!! Small quantity to ask side in exchange site Quick increasing price is bad for coin. Slow and steady increase is good for coin.

|

Only 15 MN can be bought at polo. 1 DASH = 15 XMR. Symbolic! Yes, Happy Birthday!
Too small quantity to ask side in polo 15 MN quantity in polo + 15MN in bittrex move dash coin to ask side if you have it in mining pool. Speculator acting with small quantity of BTC is possible.

Hi all. Can anyone tell me how many Master Nodes Dash has at present? Thank you
https://dashninja.pl/masternodes.html says: Total Masternodes: 3510 = 3506 actives + 4 inactives [3502 unique IPs] Aggghhh and I am one of those inactives. I'll fix that in the morning. Please make MN active, good luck. I added one MN to reach 3500. Dashman multi voting is possible for masternode.conf list. You don't need to log in every server.

Cryptsy hack.... It is possible DASH dumpping.
To follow coin transaction, I think it is need to disable DARKSEND function. Or make possible to trade in coin wallet like bitshare.
What's your opinion?

thanks for fixing. monitoring 'dashd' also run well.

I've found masternodelist rank to be inconsistent across blocks.
thanks moocowmoo You upgraded monitoring shell what I found by googling and searching in naver.com data . Except server down, it is always possible to run "dashd" to me. It is good to change to your simple code. You're welcome. I added ranking to that python script and placed it on github. Output sorts by rank (next paid order) git clone https://github.com/moocowmoo/masternode_conf_check.git cd masternode_conf_check # nano masternode_check.py # (edit paths to match your install) python masternode_check.py
$ python masternode_check.py node-003 ONLINE - in masternode list - rank: 592/3451 node-001 ONLINE - in masternode list - rank: 701/3451 node-005 ONLINE - in masternode list - rank: 823/3451 node-004 ONLINE - in masternode list - rank: 2618/3451 node-002 ONLINE - in masternode list - rank: 3057/3451
There's a whole ton of things I could add, but I've got other stuff on my plate right now. (This was a late-night hack for a request bridgewater had.) Enjoy! Good job!! A masternode in failure make an error. By delisting it in masternode.conf give good result.

I used shell file using txid. echo mn01 ~/.dash/dash-cli masternodelist rank 004c9 echo mn02 ~/.dash/dash-cli masternodelist rank 00acc
I've found masternodelist rank to be inconsistent across blocks. run just a few blocks apart: $ dash-cli masternodelist rank 133c6 { "133c6c848081817d92c493e41de8e186a45b5211f3cd15d5c69b7073099bac9f-0" : 2521 } $ dash-cli masternodelist rank 133c6 { "133c6c848081817d92c493e41de8e186a45b5211f3cd15d5c69b7073099bac9f-0" : 2091 }
I want to have monitoring "dashd" every 5 minute. And if dashd killed, run dashd automatically. save following code "actmn"
#!/bin/sh #=======================================================# # while #=======================================================# while true do ps_exist_cnt=`ps -ea | grep "dashd" | grep -v grep | wc -l` if [ $ps_exist_cnt -eq 0 ];then /home/ubuntu/.dash/dashd & fi sleep 300 done
----------------------- backgroud run chmod +x actmn nohup ./actmn &
Is this proper solution?
this will work fine, but you can trim much of that code: #!/bin/sh while true; do if [ -z "$(pidof dashd)" ]; then /home/ubuntu/.dash/dashd & fi sleep 300 done

LOL !!!!! Someone is dumping hard!
someone got a few below '65 wait, i think I'm supposed to say, oh noes, the world is ending, DASH is being dumped, cats & dogs have made peace and are living together and the four horsemen of the apocalypse have been revealed by a hidden message in the BTC block chain. That is the appropriate re-action, no? Dash , doge also dumped. But masternode number go to 3500. Dumping make the masternode number increase faster. I added a masternode in recent dumpping. need to test cryptsy hot,cold. dash,doge wallet transation.

Saturday evening hack Somebody was asking if dashman could check the status of all the masternodes in masternode.conf, so I built a quick python script for checking if your masternodes are listed in the output of 'masternode list full' Just change the top two lines to match your dash-cli and masternode.conf locations. NOTE: You can run this from any wallet (no funds required), just copy your masternode.conf over to the host. Enjoy! https://gist.github.com/moocowmoo/4da0a42f72c1760f05f5#!/usr/bin/python
""" simple 'masternode list full' health check """
my_dash_cli = "/home/ubuntu/.dash/dash-cli" my_mn_conf = "/home/ubuntu/.dash/masternode.conf"
from subprocess import check_output
def run_command(cmd): return check_output(cmd, shell=True)
def skip_comments_and_blank(file): for line in file: line = line.rstrip("\n") if line.startswith("#") or not line: continue yield line
def get_masternodes_from_conf(): nodes = {} with open(my_mn_conf, "r") as f: for line in skip_comments_and_blank(f): (alias, ip, privkey, vin, n) = line.rstrip("\n").split() nodes[vin + '-' + n] = { 'alias': alias, 'ip': ip, 'privkey': privkey, 'vin': vin, 'n': n } return nodes
def get_masternodes_from_dashd(): nodes = {} cmd = " ".join([my_dash_cli, 'masternode list full']) node_list = run_command(cmd) for line in node_list.split("\n"): line = line.translate(None, ''.join('"{}')) if not line: continue (ftx, nop, status, protocol, address, ip, last_seen, active, last_paid) = line.split() (vin, n) = ftx.split('-') nodes[ftx] = { 'vin': vin, 'n': n, 'status': status, 'protocol': protocol, 'address': address, 'ip': ip, 'last_seen': last_seen, 'active': active, 'last_paid': last_paid } return nodes
def main(): my_masternodes = get_masternodes_from_conf() masternode_list = get_masternodes_from_dashd()
for my_node in sorted(my_masternodes, key=lambda k: my_masternodes[k]['alias']): if my_node in masternode_list: if masternode_list[my_node]['status'] == 'ENABLED': print (my_masternodes[my_node]['alias'] + " ONLINE - in masternode list") else: print (my_masternodes[my_node]['alias'] + " OFFLINE -- NOT ENABLED") else: print (my_masternodes[my_node]['alias'] + " OFFLINE -- NOT IN MASTERNODE LIST")
if __name__ == "__main__": main()

Had to release a bugfix for dashman. Somebody changed the downloads page from absolute to relative links. Users will be prompted to update on their next command, but the bug only affects installs and re-installs (downloads of the tarball from dash.org) changelog: 0.1.16 - Tue Dec 29 05:41:43 2015 +0000
bugfix - support dash.org downloads page shift to relative pathing thanks to gusterdd for the notify! dashman install,reinstall execute well. thanks bug fix, moocowmoo.

Big change in Crytocurrency Blockchain would be accepted in major bank. So bitcoin value increase now. Also it is possible, sunshine to DASH
|
|

DASH isn't attractive for investor and speculator. BTC go up to 400$ , but DASH go down to 2$. DASH go downward realtive to BTC. Troll wins now.
