Two days to go for the Lens - PSG game. Both teams have many missing players before this game but it is many more for Lens now. Lens have been doing a pretty good job in head-to-head home games against PSG so far. But with this number of missing players I don't know how strong they would be this time.  Sad  PSG are a little weaker in away games according to home ones this season.

However they are still doing great in away games statistically - 17 goals scored, 6 goals conceded. They stumbled on the Lille obstacle a month ago. But while Lens are deprived of so many players PSG can take advantage of it to get an easier win.

It's not right to compare Lens and PSG by the head-to-head games they had before because the situation for both teams has not changed and especially for Lens because they are not in the same situation they had before.
Lens in the team they were even racing with PSG until the last weeks of the last season but they are not even near to the top of the table now and maybe that's a good reason to say Lens won't have too much chance against PSG.

I think it's quite interesting and there's no harm in placing it. Maybe the circumstances are not the same, but in matches at the start of the year like this we are usually presented with unexpected surprises. I mean PSG are clearly favored to win but that's not guaranteed when Lens is the host. Sometimes things we think don't go according to plan and PSG will definitely realize that when they play Lens later. So PSG should start to be alert and Lens will likely secure points at home.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 12, 2024, 10:09:28 PM
Chelsea is not stable and they are unpredictable,  their is no guarantee that Chelsea will be able to defeat Fulham, looking at Chelsea performance in previous game it is not convincing to tell if they win Fulham.  It won't be easy for Chelsea and I won't be surprised if Chelsea fails to win.
Newcastle vs Manchester City is another interesting game, that it won't be very easy for Manchester City defeat Newcastle but it is possible Manchester City will be the favorite of the game with a win.

Yeah you are right Chelsea are still the same as before and difficult to predict but indeed lately Chelsea play better in the Premier League and they also have good records when playing at home it's just that it can't be used as a guarantee that Chelsea can win still there is a risk of instability. Fulham is also not a team that can be underestimated because in the last match they beat Arsenal obviously it was an impressive achievement because beating Arsenal is not easy but they can do it.
Chelsea might have a slight advantage from being hosts but even that won't be enough if they want to stop Fulham. We know very well how strong Chelsea has been so far and sometimes things go awry when the players can't establish a good connection on the pitch. Fulham will look for Chelsea mistakes and that's when they will try to steal points. But on the other hand, if Fulham fails then the previous win against Arsenal was clearly just luck.

A total of 4 goals were scored against Frosinone and this was a landslide victory for Juventus. Allegri's squad deserves to advance to the next round of the Copa Italia and they don't need to struggle when facing a team whose level is far below them. Frosinone was unable to get a single goal back in this match and there is no need for Juventus to doubt that they are aiming for all the titles currently available. Congratulations to Juventus, at least this team still has the confidence to win another title this season besides the Scudetto.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: January 11, 2024, 10:01:43 PM
Basically there is nothing better at gambling between men and women, it's not about women being calmer and being able to control themselves, it's just because men are a lot of players and generally our gaze will be focused on men, in my opinion that's the same as women
It's just a gender thing and I don't think any gambling has anything to do with it. Maybe women can be calmer because they are not always demanding, but if it is a man, he must be able to pursue what he wants to achieve. I think the psychological differences are clearly felt here and perhaps men have a more difficult time accepting the results in gambling. Therefore, the number of male players in gambling is always more than female.

I don’t think Sancho should have moved back to Dortmund, he could have gone to a big club in the EPL and build his career. Dortmund is a good club but they are not a trophy-winning club. His career is not going to grow as fast as it would if he was in a EPL club. It’s likely that Sancho will find his form now that he is back in Dortmund, the Bundesliga is easier than the premier league. The club has always been a young star development club.

I wish Sancho and Erik Ten Hag could have settled their differences, Manchester United signed him for a lot of money, it’s a shame to see him go.
I think Sancho also thinks that it doesn't have to be the team that wins the trophy, the important thing is that there is a team that will accept it well. Moreover, Sancho also played very well while at Dortmund and did not lose contact with the people around him, making his reason for returning to Dortmund the right choice.

But this is not a permanent transfer and is a loan option carried out by Dortmund so there is still a chance for Sancho to improve his career later at Manchester United. His dispute with Erik Ten Hag is one that must be resolved when Sancho returns.

Barcelona really deserved to be in the Super Cup final against Real Madrid and they did well after beating Osasuna in the semifinals. Two goals without reply succeeded in bringing Barcelona through to the final and thanks to Lewandowski and Yamal who were the goal scorers in this match. I think El Clasico is the most anticipated match in this season's Super Cup final and we can't wait to watch it.

169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 05, 2024, 02:30:27 PM
Losing Mbappe would cost PSG really a lot by the way. He is like their everything at the moment. In his absence I don't know how consistent and powerful PSG can be. They have made a good transfers for the future maybe but these new players will need to take their time to adapt and improve their skills to create a solid team.

In case of Mbappe's leaving maybe PSG would look for a solid replacement for him. But for now I don't know who they would go for. Maybe Haaland? Because his release clause is expected to be active by this year so we never know what PSG will do after that.  Smiley
There is no way Haaland would want to prefer a move to PSG,he would rather stay at Mancity than move else where.Mbape is very eager to make a move from PSG to either Madrid or any north London club,I heard he was looking at moving to either Chelsea or Arsenal, but I think he would still stay at PSG because he is currently playing in the champions league with his team, and he wants to win the trophy with his club.
Haaland is a big player and his contribution to the Manchester City squad is one that they can't do without, therefore, contemplating on a move to PSG is not even in his plans.

I don't think Haaland would look favorably on such a transfer. Playing in the best teams in the world and retiring as a new legend is a good option, why would he play in a team like PSG?
The only reason PSG is successful is because they have a lot of money. Yes, they are very successful in their own leagues, but we see their situation in European matches. They certainly won't be the best team in the world Smiley

Why on earth would Haaland play in PSG?
There is not any good reason to say Haaland is interested to he is even thinking about playing another team like PSG.
In Manchester City, he got a good chance to win the Champions League and achieve more titles while in PSG there is less chance for this player Haaland.
I think Haaland is not going to leave Manchester City and even if he leaves this team he will not play for PSG.

It is an impossible move for Haaland because at his current peak performance of course he wants to join a team that is greater and has a long history. What would happen if he joined PSG, wouldn't that reduce his integrity as the best striker in the world and with Manchester City we know his greatness is extraordinary. It doesn't make sense if he goes to PSG and if there are no offers from other big clubs, I think it's better for him to stay at Manchester City because he will still win various titles including individual awards.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 05, 2024, 02:15:10 PM
Arsenal have made too many mistakes lately and what was initially at the top of the standings at the end of 2023 has all changed to dropping to 4th position. I don't think something like this will happen to Arsenal and even though the difference is not that much with the teams above it, this reminds me again. like last season when they experienced a decline in performance for the rest of the season. Mikel Arteta will really repeat this mistake this season and they must avoid it before it is too late and they are even further left behind by Liverpool, Aston Villa and Manchester City.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 05, 2024, 02:04:05 PM
At this point Sevilla is a sure target towards LaLiga 2  because it's clear that current team have no desire to actually play football and save this club for a real disaster that is relegation. It will also be the first time in club history when they will face this situation and the fact that they are in debt over 800 mil $ makes me thing they do want to go to LaLiga 2 and re-build a fresh team there under a new project.  Grin
It doesn't look like Sevilla has any hope of surviving in La Liga and they are now increasingly miserable because they sit in a position close to relegation. Several years ago they were a strong team in La Liga but for some reason they fell so deeply recently that they were unable to compete with even weak teams. Sevilla seemed to be running out of time and the previous defeat against Athletic Bilbao also hit them hard.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 04, 2024, 09:01:47 PM
Fikayo Tomori was recently linked to Bayern Munich and this player was very close to joining the team and playing for Tuchel, especially after the new year.
But the contract between Fikayo Tomori and AC Milan has not expired yet and he can only leave this team after 2027 unless AC Milan lets him leave.
But Ac Milan rejected the offer they got from Bayern Munich and they said they are not going to sell this payer because they don't have enough defenders already.

Bayern Munich has shown interest in AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori. The move is currently unlikely because AC Milan does not want to sell him. However, it's not ruled out that Bayern could not make another attempt. There's a chance that Tomori's time at AC Milan could come to an end. However, If the Italian club wants to be competitive and improve their defense, the best option is to bring in a center-back to strengthen their defense rather than sell him.

As far as I know, Arsenal was interested in De Ligt.
If he had joined Arsenal, Bayern probably would have pressed further for Tomori, ok.

Another thing is, you know, Bayern Munich's main Center Backs are Upamecano and Kim.
And De Ligt is not one of their main defenders. So it is understandable that he wants to leave.

Tomori might not also want to join due to this. So it is very highly unlikely that it is going to happen.
AC Milan are also not interested so it is not happening I believe.

Regards

Duke
Leaving Bayern Munich is still a pretty good thing for De Ligt because he is still young and his performance is still very good. He was simply displaced for his current position and that's why he had to leave if he wanted to continue making his career shine. Maybe Bayern Munich is interested in Tomori but actually it's a bad choice and I see De Ligt still being better than him. But somehow every coach has their own assessment and players also have to determine their own future.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 04, 2024, 08:51:29 PM
It will be an easy game for Juventus, Salernitana is an easy opponent for Juventus. They have only 2 wins in the league and are in last place.
I think even Juventus' reserve squad can beat them.
Also, Juventus is playing this game at home.
It's true that even though Juventus conceded first in the early minutes, they managed to turn things around to make it 2-1 and I think they will continue to attack to score another goal. The first half has ended and it remains to be seen how Allegri can provide the right direction so that they can continue to perform well in the second half. Salernitana will definitely still try to equalize and that is something Juventus should be wary of.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 04, 2024, 08:40:45 PM
Is Barcelona officially replaced by Girona now? I mean only Girona are very close to Real Madrid and that's something Barcelona should be able to do this season. Moreover, yesterday they were able to seriously beat Atletico and make the gap even further with a difference of 10 points. It is absolutely impossible for Barcelona to get close to the two top teams at the moment, be it Real Madrid or Girona and we definitely know how Barcelona's performance this season has not been very convincing.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 04, 2024, 08:27:20 PM
Congratulations to PSG, who quickly won the cup in the new year. Mbappe continues to carry the team, I wonder what PSG's situation would be this season if it wasn't for this player.

If Mbappe convinces him to stay in the team and extends his contract and build a team around him, especially quality midfielders are needed. If all the conditions are met, this team may have a chance in the Champions League in Europe. Mbappe's goal was great again, he carries goals and scores aesthetic goals in every match.
Mbappe has always been a mainstay and PSG always needs him to win the title. A good result and it was their first trophy at the start of the year. I think there is truth in PSG having to bring in quality midfielders and that will make PSG's squad more even. They have great strikers and only need a decent supply of balls to easily score goals. The Champions League is the dream of this French team and it is still something they must win.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 02, 2024, 10:36:51 PM
Because the red card changed everything and Real Sociedad could at least smile at the end of the match because they didn't lose to Alaves. It is very annoying when a player gets a red card, especially the main goalkeeper. So the coach has to change his strategy and try not to lose. Alaves almost won but Real Sociedad's late goal only came in the 90+7 minute which denied Alaves victory in the away match.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 02, 2024, 10:25:28 PM
There were no goals at all in this match and this clearly proves that both teams are equally tough on the field. I really like Brighton because they didn't make any mistakes in this match and kept their goal from conceding. If West Ham scores a goal then the match will be over and the entire performance will be controlled by West Ham. Maybe this draw was quite appropriate for both teams and besides, no one thought the result would be a draw.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 02, 2024, 10:12:44 PM
I 100% agree with you. They are currently playing really well. Bellingham has been the star player for Real Madrid. But the thing is they actually need a new number 9 for them. Since Benzema left that place has not been replaced. Joselu did come but not as a permanent replacement. I wonder if they will get Mbappe this Winter.

I also heard rumors about Real Madrid not signing any new players this season. If this is true Real Madrid may still be able to do it but it is going to be a lot tougher considering the injury list and tough schedule.

Regards
Duke
This is January transfer window and it would be coming up anytime soon, Real Madrid will make significant signings this year and I pray good players brings good performance. Karim Benzema departure really affected the club, it's been a total struggle for them to net goals, if not for Jude Bellingham who have filled in the space of Benzema and have scored quite good counts on goals, he's also leading on the scorer leaderboard. Real Madrid top nine spot is vacant though Carlo Ancelotti is trying his possible best to shape his squad. He's using Rodrygo and Brahim as force attackers because Vinicius Júnior is out of action due to injury sustained.
But at least Real Madrid can still overcome the habit of relying on the no 9 and here they did well without Benzema. As a coach, Ancelotti knows what the team needs and he succeeded in changing the existing strategy so that all players can do their jobs better. There is always a problem if it is not Real Madrid and we know that in the champions league this season they still recorded perfect points without defeat in the group stage.

If the perspective of club owners is purely business, then we will never see Ligue 1 more advanced than it is today. Only a few fans are interested in watching their matches, of course gradually they will continue to be left behind in many ways, including the lack of star players who want to have a career in Ligue 1.
Most star players only play for one club and here it is clearly PSG. I don't think other teams like Marseille, Monaco, Lens or Nice have other star names and the rest is down to the talented players they have at the club. However, the financial strength of the 4 teams mentioned above is also not comparable to PSG.

PSG is a business club and it's all because of ownership from Middle Easterners so whatever they want can always be achieved. Previously they had brought in Neymar, Mbappe and Messi (now only Mbappe remains) and the policies they implemented in selecting star players always succeeded in making more money.
