Nice to hear that  Wink
Good luck...
Thanx! 7 LTC blocks at 136 MH/s during February.  Cool

Nice to hear that Wink

Hey Loshia, and everyone else mining on LTC.TBDICE
I have been mining on this pool since the very beginning and found the 2,3 and 4th blocks, but never got them because I mined them straight to my Cryptsy account and well you know how that went. The Cryptsy customer service kept telling me they were going to fish them out for me, and then they started to have slow payouts and crashed and burned, so i guess I donated them to Big Vern or his ex wife.

On a positive note because of this I had stopped depositing any more coins into Cryptsy because I thought that it should not be that hard to "fish" some Litecoins out of a deposit wallet, and then started to withdraw my coins out of there and I had 95% of my coins out of there before the crash and burn.
A kind of a happy ending from my own mistake of mining to a exchange deposit address.

If your new be sure to mine to your own wallet!

Anyway just touching base as I have had a good size hash on the pool 24/7/365+.

Loshia, also just wanted to confirm that the pool can signal support for Segwit.

Unfortunately  Segwit requires LTC Update + hacks + pool hacks. So short answer is NO. pool currently does not signal support for Segwit.
If and when time allows me i will do it but i can not make any promises.

y miners best share reset even though block not found by them? does that mean all user mining on single block?

no not at all. i can not understand you clearly but best shares are reset when block is found no mater if you found the block or someone else.

Unfortunately i can not understand what do you mean by...

If Bitmain is cheating S9 owners, the new T9 is even more suspect. It has less hashing power with higher power consumption.  Huh
That is because ASIC chips are less but as a bonus are overclocked Wink
My personal feeling is that this shit will start to explode very very soon Grin

Not necessarily overclocked at least in the normal use of the term. They may have been individually testing each one to find its maximum speed before it starts throwing errors just like Intel and AMD test their CPUs. Once they have enough chips in the fastest speed bin they can make the new model using them. You wouldn't refer to an i7-3.6GHz as overclocked and an i7-2.9GHz as underclocked if that was the speed on the box when you bought them.

My you are optimistic, but maybe you are correct.

Folks do you really STILL believe in Santa Claus?
Come on and use your heads and think wise how to spent your money. It is your deceision at the end.

Good Luck to you all
Best

Is this really happening on the S9's?
I'm a noob to mining, but as an IT person, (if the above is true) shouldn't this be something to investigate?

I have suspected something like this. I have blocked some unknown traffic from my R4. I am working on getting a Raspberry Pi with ckproxy set up to attach to my R4 as an intermediary to get more info. I'm not physically at its location most of the time to monitor over the LAN in person
Once again. Attaching proxy will not give you any additional info. Only tcpduump will tell you what is going on. And afterwards you have to be able to read understand and analyze data inside
With all said I am quite sure even though I can not prove it that Antpool is cheating everyone also!!

Yeah all of the above is 100% true. About investigations no one  gives a fuck and folks are going to continue to buy and use this crap. As I said it can be confirmed by everyone. For me as it person the only reasonable approach is to trash that garbage. I just can not imagine how I would spend 1000+ to buy such shit and get robbed in one way or another on daily basis...

what happend to the miner if you try to block the comunication and just allow tcp?
Is it then working, and speed up on boot?

I do not know and i do not care dude...All this crap shall be trashed immediately for scrap. That was what i told to my friend. But you know the story he payed for it once and he will continue to pay to BITMAIN on a daly basis End of story!

Decision is yours.

If you wish you can play with that if you have one

Latest update of the miner all time stats (since May 2016)
Code:
 CDF[Erl] | Miner |    DiffAcc
 0.997872 | S9v1  | 27,650.93G | 112.59655135 BDR |  84 Blocks
 0.798780 | A7v2  |    513.85G |   1.60335652 BDR |   1 Block
 0.531652 | A7v1  |  2,851.43G |   9.91705950 BDR |  10 Blocks
 0.167142 | S9v2  |  5,683.25G |  19.28094844 BDR |  24 Blocks
All OK as usual ... except S9v1 Tongue
Not a single block from any of the new R4's?
Wonder how many R4's are in live the pool?
Mine has been hashing away for almost a month now. Hope it finds a block for us soon.
Thanks for the update.
That's a good point!  No R4's have found a block yet on the pool..
They probably fall under S9v2 - bitmain don't say "S9" they just say the version of their fork.
So they are probably S9v2 - if someone wants to tell me a worker that is only R4 I can check to see what they call themselves.
My only miner is an R4 B2.
Worker Name: wblaster.antMiner_R4_mab
OK, that shows the same firmware as S9v2 - so I'll mark that from now on as S9v2+R4v2

Yeah...
Yesterday I was just helping a friend to repair his broken S9 (I do not know which revision the crap was) and  i was looking at tcpdump in my router to see what S9 is doing....And Guess what....S9 is Sending !!!!unatended!!!! ICP destination host unreachable with a pay load something like json data to X IP. Then X IP responds back WITH UDP and payload something like json   data. Sounds familiar   Wink
There are a lots of ICMP and UDP packets coming in/out  S9 miner to UNKNOWN IP's containing guess what Grin

The funny part is that S9 controller is custom made with special HW and there is no way someone to put customised FW inside it except BITMAIN. So i guess this incredible feature is BY design. The other funny part is that you have to wait this shit for 10 mins or so while ASICS are warming up Grin Pathetic. Meanwhile the mentioned UDP/ICMP are going in and out like creasy. Probably to help to warming up process Grin More Over after warming up process finishes UDP/ICMP DO CONTINUE TO COME IN AND OUT
So ... If in doubt  EVERYONE CAN CHECK THIS BY HIMSELF
I am just wandering how that fact remained in secret having in mind how many folks have them in their hands Huh It is just one minute to fire a tcpdump and see what is going on.
A clean and healthy miner behaviour is:

1 UDP DNS requests to resolve  pool ip and NTP IP
2. Sync TIME - UDP  to NTP servers
3. Start to MINE TCP ONLY!
4. Repeat one and two
5. MINE TCP ONLY

170  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Where to mine with 36Ths 24/7? on: January 07, 2017, 11:59:00 AM
My final decision is I will leave my miners at first pool kano.is for one month and will update.

These are my configuration of my miners atm and will be for one month.

0 stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333
1 stratum+tcp://stratum.antpool.com:443
2 stratum+tcp://stratum.antpool.com:25

Thanks

Wise decision!
The main point when making deceisions is to avoid CHINESE pools at all cost.
Good luck to you

Update:

Data centre maintenance completed for less than 20 minutes. Unfortunately during that time we found LTC and Doge block which are invalid due to coin daemons out of sync because of lack of network connectivity. Any way all is back to normal and we have both valid LTC/Dogie blocks after that.
Mine On:)

Quick update
I am happy to announce that our avarage luck is super taking into account current lucky strike.
I am positive that all of our constant miners are making between 5% -10% more compared to any LTC pool out there.

Folks,
There are issues with DNS servers. I do hope they will be resolved ASAP
Meanwhile you can use 195.85.215.220 for mining
PS:
DNS issues are resolved
