161  Economy / Speculation / Re: DID YOU THINk BITCOIN CAN REACH 55K IN THE END OF THIS YEAR on: March 02, 2018, 03:00:26 PM
I am beginning to think that McAfee is just having fun with bitcoin from creating fud on his twitter about binance to pumping up alt coins and being an obvious shill for them without doing research on them causing a dump on the markets.

With the amount of followers he has all it takes is one miscued message and any alt coin can be screwed up. Roll Eyes
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin! on: March 02, 2018, 02:55:21 PM
Maybe if more wider chains start to accept bitcoin as a form of payment then it would be more widely accepted.
Such as Starbucks and McDonalds.
Even in a form of putting money on your giftcards to use there would be a start. Wink
163  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Music Actually Change Lives? on: March 02, 2018, 02:53:25 PM
|Music is somewhat seen as a way to the soul|

So many see it as that if you fill it with good music so would your soul be. Grin
164  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Cloud Mining with HashFlare on: March 02, 2018, 02:48:34 PM
Hey! Is it forbidden to sale the account on Hashflare? Can't seem to find the information. On their terms of use it doesn't say.
I've seen someone has sold his account in past so it is probably allowed. I think you have to send this question to their support to receive clear answer.
Hashflare lowers prices, and a new 10% discount code, that is interesting, 160$ for a TH
yep and i aint gonna swallow that bait, next month they might charge 400 usd a TH

1 TH at 160 Profitable in 1 Year 3 Months
Can you share how did you calculate this? I posted recently something about this in other topic, I am really curious about this.
I saw one post they have a telegram from their admin group.
Someone said you can trade their hash from their account to another using this group.
Have not tried it but if it is legit then I would think this would be the fastest way to do it.

Not endorsing it just saying that I saw it posted from another person earlier in the week.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible to have one wallet for all cryptos? on: March 02, 2018, 12:59:44 PM
There are some virtual wallets that claim to hold alot of different holdings for a variety of cryptocurrencies.
The first that comes to mind is iconomi wallet.
The second one is exodus.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: March 02, 2018, 12:57:45 PM
The weakest link in bitcoin's security model is you. If you get robbed, hacked, hit with a rubber hose until you give up your private keys, etc, you're the easiest point of failure for an attacker to get your coins. There is virtually no chance that bitcoin will be "hacked" in the sense that the network will permit people to steal your coins. It relies on some pretty strong cryptography; if you want proofs, you'll want a CS or math degree to understand fully.
While these points are valid and true it is up to the user to protect him or her self from being hacked and swindled.
Nobody is going to hold your hand in not getting robbed when it comes to a virtual digital currency because more than likely they are the ones who will be taking your bitcoins.
As for protecting yourself from getting hacked have a point of disconnect put in place.
That way you will not give those who look to hack you the chance to even be able to try. Embarrassed
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 good year or bad year for Cryptocurrency ? on: March 02, 2018, 12:43:41 PM
It has been good so far.
Let us see what the future beholds for all us hodlers in the future. Wink
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Journey on: March 02, 2018, 12:33:07 PM
After all is said and done it is just good to be part of its journey and you can say you have been a part of it as well.
I do remember those progressions in the last year and with the forks.
It is just weird how something in which people did not believe would survive has done so and beyond those limitations.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 02, 2018, 04:09:52 AM
I've heard that Satoshi Nakamoto is not human but this is a group of some big companies that control bitcoin
Some big companies?
I doubt this could be the case because then they would not have created it decentralized but exactly the opposite it.

I do think it was created by a group of individuals but not necessarily employed by an company but doing it freelancer style and as a hobby. Smiley
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: March 02, 2018, 03:59:06 AM
I would say only if the tech behind it can out do bitcoin at what it was made to do.
But with the progression it has had with segwit and now the lightening network
It doesn't look like anything else out there has anything better to offer. Undecided
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 01, 2018, 07:28:48 PM
Speaking of Guitars eh? Here is my rig. (Rig is still not complete. Waiting for 20xx series Nvidia's and maybe a Heritage H-150 :p)

*You can tell which one is my favorite by looking at them Wink
The one in the middle I would take a wild guess as being your fav. Grin
I dunno guys. Shorts have not yet capitulated and overall mem pool is dropping.  We are testing $11k right now but I’m not quite feeling the vibe yet.

We are also testing the underside of the trend line for Bitstamp.  Even a couple hundred dollars more in price would be a big deal at this point.

500 BTC between the current 10900 and 11000 at Bitstamp :-/

Why would anyone want to hold the price down?

I really don't understand it.

I don't count the argument that they want to buy cheap coins ... they had almost 2 months to do that now.

This is what you should tell those who tell you to sell your bitcoins

172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Samsung Galaxy S9 will be able to clear the Crypto currency. on: March 01, 2018, 07:10:15 PM
I was only able to find info on this in exactly one site:

https://cryptoconsulting.info/2018/news/samsung-galaxy-s9-will-be-mine-cryptocurrency/

...and nowhere else. It's probably safe to assume it's fake news, as it seems to refer to Bitcoin mining specifically, and describes other absurdly laughable features:

Quote
it is known that the device will allow owners of gadgets to become richer by several thousand Satoshi.

Quote
The first thing the owner won’t be able to do is shoot the video. Secondly, the ban on any Bank transfers is immediately triggered. Also, the owner of the device will not be able to call those contacts to which the owner will set restrictions in a sober state.

As others have said, it's currently technologically impossible to mine Bitcoin (profitably) with a mobile device, so it doesn't matter how powerful its processor and graphics card will be lol.
I would need to agree with you there.

They are probably just saying it can mine cryptocurrency just to gain attention from what the mass media have been spreading about bitcoin and its rise up so quickly.

But those media outlets have stopped fudding it up on crypto news as they do not say to much about it when it has lost that same amount just as fast as it rose up.
Why?

Because it does not make for "good news". Roll Eyes
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines is starting to accept bitcoin. on: March 01, 2018, 07:04:34 PM
Wonder if this company exchange was at the seminar?
It sounds like they are competing against coins.ph which was the major player for the past few years now

They do look alot like EtherDelta don't they?
174  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Will You Buy This For $1,500? - Mastercard Virtual Card Mini-License. on: March 01, 2018, 06:59:50 PM
How can you assure what happened to wavecrest would not happen to this card issuer who is middlemanning this entire operation?
If it does happen then the investor would have lost their holdings in this business venture. Undecided

In the real sense, there is no way i can assure you. The best we can do is making sure we follow all regulations on using the card.
Well then there is not any assurance to the customers who are going to sign up for these cards then.
Thus no insurance to them if it does go the way of wavecrest leaving all their clients without their funds on the cards they had with them.
For those that did not get the memo they did not have the time to withdraw their funds off the cards before they became useless just lost access to those funds. Undecided
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase hands over information to the IRS on: March 01, 2018, 12:45:42 AM
I don’t think people using Coinbase were counting on the anonimity aspect of cryptocurrrncy, after all you have to provide a lot of info just to register. Although this doesn’t affect me currently as I am not US basedI do wonder if other countries will follow suit.
That's what people were counting on so not to have to worry about being taxed on it but now that they are being forced in handing over their transactions and even more so their personal information so to have the IRS track them down to pin them into paying taxes on the crypto they bought since a year ago all the sudden  WELL Roll Eyes
That is a kick in the teeth if those individuals bought alot from coinbase not knowing they were going to have to pay taxes on those bitcoins and ethereum will this coming out suddenly.
176  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i join two or more campaigns? on: March 01, 2018, 12:35:46 AM
You can join a signature campaign and that would take up your advertising space on your signature space.
But you could also rent out your personal text space and also your avatar space.

That is if the current signature campaign allows you too.
Just read their rules first.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU fans started failing, had to improvise a little on: February 28, 2018, 04:40:25 PM
I was watching an old video about gpu fans and the person who was doing the video said that they need to be have oil applied to them every few months of constant use because they are rubbing against metal at one time if the oil dries out.
Which they will eventually.
178  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-27] Bitcoin Core 0.16.0 Rolls Out With Full SegWit Support on: February 27, 2018, 05:27:05 PM
Haven't installed the full client before as the size of the blockchain dat file has always deterred me from doing so.
But with this new blockchain technology involved in the new update of the software
I am leaning towards spending the amount of time needed to do it now in what segwit is promising to improve upon using bitcoin.

I just saw the weirdest place to have an ATM where you would never expect to see one ever in your life! Shocked
