I think it is possible for the bitcoin price to be $900 to 1000 in January 2017. $2000 could be possible in 2018.
I agree with that. In the short term, I mean for a few weeks, the price could drop to $550. But it will rise later.

I do not expect the bitcoin price to fall from there. It might rise to $900 and then falls to $700 from there.

That explanation is quite reassuring. I am still mining, but I will just mine one chain the ETH, so that will not be affected.

I heard he's going to use the funds to help develop and increase his net worth. Why did you hear differently?
Where did you hear about that? That will be an interesting development if that is true. But I would doubt that.

What kind of hashrates are you guys getting on DaggerHashimoto? I have an AMD R9 270x. I seem to rarely max out at 16 MH
That hash rate of 16 MH/s is already very good. If your electricity price is low and cooling is good, you can overclock.

Do you think it is possible for the Vitalik to dump his ETC to the people who want to keep the ETC?
Done long ago. 115 millions ETC was traded already. If you can extend that logic, then all the premined ETH have changes hands. No original owners own that. There is a possibility that some of the original Ethereum owners still have the ETC, they might dump them.

The biggest Ethereum farms in China and other miners promise to start mining ETC , how can this influnce the future and price of ETC?
Source? This is bigger than Trump's hands if it's true, but that's a rather bold statement to be making without presenting at least token evidence. This makes sense, difficulty is greatly diminished on the classic chain, it's like mining with a laser pick I thought this was over, but dammit, it's apparently just beginning. The Chinese miners are the same as other miners, they are for the profit. If the price of ETC drops, they will not mine it. This is true. It is just common sense and logic. He didn't have to start this thread. I also jump between the ETH and ETC. The only difference is that I sell all the mined ETC and keep some ETH.

In bitcoin, when someone mentions "stability", it means stagnation and sliding down. The best thing to do in times of "stability" is to short it until a clear bull run starts, probably not until Nov/Dec this year.
I would describe the current price action to be stable. it is very good for the mass adoption of the bitcoin.

in present time as most of the people have no idea about bitcon. so many people are still there who have yet not hear the name of bitcoin so they have only one choice and that is the fiat currency. so we can sa that in present time or in present future it is impossible that bitocin will take the place of fiat currency.
In coming decades in case we have the same inspiration and adaptation as today. No one one can imagine 50 years ago that debit and credit can replace the dollars in daily life uses , so who know it might happen if we get more official adaptation and i wish to be there when it comes. they have not yet replaced fiat (in form of paper money) and people are still using paper for their money transfers. and bitcoin has a very long way to go and push all these competition (fiat, credit cards,...) to replace them and it is going to take forever. but online transactions is another story in my opinion and it can replace fiat online. less than 1% of my pruchase is by using the bitcoin. I think it will take long time to reach 50% or more.

It is worth $41 million now, no. 8 on the list. When the big Ethereum whales and the hacker dump his coin, what will the price be? It is worth $72 million now. I am wondering who is buying the ETC, will that coin be killed by the hacker? The price is even higher now. What will the price be when the DAO hacker starts to sell the 3+ million ETC?

ETC has been outed as a scam shitcoinage that is unsupported, undeveloped, prone to 51% attack, and double spend replay attack vectors.
And it was so obvious it wouldn't take long you to come here and shill for your centralized shitcoin. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Sorry but your wrong buddy. The real chain will survive how it looks like. And maybe I will buy a bit of ETC.Looks to me like a cheap opportunity for the moment. Two coins who can do the same but one much more attractive for some nice speculation. Furthermore there are people within the Ethereum community who appreciate the real concept of a decentralized and immutable blockchain. I have a lot of respect for those guys. The problem is that ETC price is dropping. Yesterday, I mined it and sold the ETC to the buyers. Today, I don't mine it. You are correct price and hash rate have collapsed. It's insecure for any investor. Well to a smart investor it looks like an opportunity. You are right. The ETC price rose 300% in the last day. The hash rate also increased a lot. Somebody made profit.

Any good proof about ETC if chinese have a big farms about this coins.. Looks like this is just like another altcoin shitcoin or scam coins.
I do not think so. You can see from https://ethereumclassic.github.io/, the big farms are not Chinese.

Bitcoin can and WILL replace fiat. There is no doubt about it, at all.
Why? Well, the system of fiat is flawed. The government is in control of everything and they can steal all your money if you wanted to. While this is not the case with bitcoin.
That is right. It will just take some times for that to happen. It might take 5 to 10 decades to replace most currency. It is impossible to replace fiat by bitcoin but i am sure it will not gonna happen so don't think about it lol If it will happen then bitcoin must have to conquer all the currencies of world which will take a very long time as you said ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) But I have already replaced fiats with the format of electronic money. I really not in need of spending currency notes and coins for my daily needs. Because I am able to spend my debit card everywhere I can go for purchases. Bitcoins will be the one of the payment option in my favorite shops soon, then I will start using it. It is my own experience. I am not going to say fiats will disappear. But, like me many people will use fiats very rarely. That is excellent. I have used the bitcoins to buy the mining equipment and then mine more bitcoins.
