161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: July 14, 2016, 08:29:54 AM
Lol. How can you even say that? The time can come where bitcoin might be dead but at least its not now It will take a long time.  This thing always happen a lot where they think this is the end for bitcoin but after some months bitcoin is back.

Maybe op is just an hater of bitcoin. We all know that bitcoin is getting more popular each day. And that's why we know that it is not going to be that dead easily.
Instead it is getting more on the trend daily and more stores are going to accepting bitcoins in the future.
Bitcoin has been predicted by many people to have died over and over again and just look at bitcoins right now. It's never been healthier. Although I'd have to admit that we're only seeing the surface of what bitcoin is and I don't have a single idea what's going on the inside. By that, I meant what's happening to the blockchain, the devs, the miners, and all the other factors.

Whenever after the bitcoin recovered from "death", it gets much stronger than before. People trust it.
162  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: July 14, 2016, 08:28:53 AM
In 2030 a million bucks will probably buy you a 1 bedroom apartment in Detroit. So it is highly likely that 10 BTC will make you a millionaire.

I think differently. The bitcoin price will be $1 million dollar each in 2030. That is today's dollar values.

The chance is really small that it can happen, because then Bitcoin must rise a lot and that will not happen as you can see because it is now already even stable so that is bad. It will take a really long time or it will be impossible to be a millionaire with only some 10 BTC.

If one billion people in the world use the bitcoin, the price will be $1 million or more. But it will take some time.

164  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: July 11, 2016, 04:05:37 PM
It will depend on the value of bitcoin at that time, and the value of bitcoin depend on our interest and our support, so if we support bitcoin and use this currency for at least our online use then I think at that time we will be millionaire .

The value of bitcoin will be at least $100,000 each in 14 years at today's dollar value. If the dollar devalue further, the price could be higher.

I also think the bitcoin price will be $100,000 or higher. If there are more people using it, like 5%  world population, it will be higher.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Big Halvening Price Rise on: July 11, 2016, 04:04:20 PM
From the halving the price is going to rise, but on a calm and steady way!
We're not going to see a huge impact of panicked selling or buying.

That is what we hope. The price should rise slowly. If it rises too fast like it did in 2013, the price will drop a lot.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: July 11, 2016, 04:02:42 PM
Bitcoin has a long way to go, no one knows where its going to end and if it will ever end, great adventure  Wink
It will end.  It is going to be just like the DAO.  One day you are going to wake up and the bitcoin will be hacked.  The end.  The fucking end.  That is how it will go.
I think its impossible right now because here in my country many company are adopting bitcoin and i think in few months we are now accepting bitcoin as payment in some stores locally because we can pay monthly bills here using bitcoin without hassle and i think the next is stores like 7/11 so bitcoin will never die..

You must be living a very advanced country. You can even pay monthly bills. I can only pay to buy some electronics online.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Big Halvening Price Rise on: July 08, 2016, 10:54:00 AM
Expect some small drops before big party, believe me. Halving will come into effect months later. Some miners are holding coins for that moment and will sell them at 2x expensive price, others are selling at current price.

The bitcoin price has already risen 50% over the last 3 months due to the halving. It will rise slowly after halving.

I guess it starts again after amd realase new driver fixing power consumption issues: http://www.anandtech.com/show/10477/amd-posts-radeon-1671-drivers-fixes-power-consumption-issues
Of course if it  won't broke hashrate but I think not

It is good that they can shift the power from the PCIE +12 V slots to the PCIE 6 pin power connectors.

Urgh.... another BTC is ded thread, ignoring the fact it's never died  Roll Eyes

I am annoyed at myself now because this thread will forever come up in my new replies tab.

Can't help, but the fact is price is below $600 now but still its a good price to hold, and with that price we cannot say that bitcoin is dead, when it will to zero level it can be called as a dead.

How can it be dead when it was at the $420 mark last month or two,  Now the price in increasing.  Stabilizing at $660, is not the end of it.  It may even breach 700 again or even reach 800 at the end of the month as other predicts.  Bitcoin is dead is just pure speculation without any basis whatsoever.

Bitcoin cannot be dead for sure. For the price, it is not stable at 660$ as the current increase is due to halving. I think bitcoin price will remain stable in the range of 400 to 500$ range after halving and it is a good price.

I am more confident. The price will be between $600 and $700 in the few months after the reward halving.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: July 04, 2016, 09:22:29 AM
There wont be any forks...I don't believe any change to asic's either...If you tell gpu miners your all done if you don't go out and buy asic's that coin will die. For this coin to stay on the road to the moon it must remain a gpu coin and unforked...

That's why BTC is dead today. Oh, wait...

4 China-based mining oligarchies control 70% of the Bitcoin network and 100% of ASIC production, this sounds great! Oh, wait...

PoW's endgame is centralization. Get used to it.

For the GPU PoW, it will be mostly centralised. But there are many people in different parts of the world, it is still a little bit decentralised.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon released RX 480. (Card is Released) on: July 04, 2016, 09:07:20 AM
AMD comunicate to resolve the problem for more watt with upgrade .
The solution is additional power connections, either 8 pin or dual 6.

That is too late for the people who already bought the RX 480 cards. If you wait until the AIB out, there is not much to mine.
172  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Will genesis mining be profitable after halving? on: July 04, 2016, 09:01:30 AM
Genesis Mining has NEVER EVER been profitable. I have not been able to find a SINGLE person EVER reaching ROI with them.

So pls, do your calculations the right way and stay away from financing their farms.

This. And yes I speak from experience. Even though it was a small amount to try them out, it was a loss after a year. Do not invest in Genesis Mining, it's for your own good.

They are giving so much low roi and not advisable to invest because we cannot really gaurantee that we can earn in their site, and  i see they have  many claims that their costumers are still didnt get their roi even if they are member im that site for a long time and some other says they are scam, but what i can say about them is they are wreck there mining are not profitable thats why they join Ponzi noe just to sustain their expenses.

Where do you read/experience they offer less ROI?
The last time I check they don't offer ROI at all. They use the funds to prefinance their equipment and then pretend something happpen so users will get less payout. From there you will see your income decreasing and decreasing till there is no payout. This is what has happened to me.

I found their Ethereum mining contract was not profitable. That is mainly because the difficulty rises too fast.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's your kWh price while mining Ethers with GPU? on: July 03, 2016, 02:41:34 PM
Unfortunately, I have to pay 22 cents per kWh. I'm still in profit. Even if someday I'm in loss, I'll continue to mine, because I know that someday one bitcoin will be worth 10 000$ and because it will be a kind of way to convert fiat into bitcoins.

I pay similar prices. So in two to three months when Ethereum mining difficulty doubles, there is no profit.
174  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Will genesis mining be profitable after halving? on: July 03, 2016, 02:35:57 PM
If the bitcoin price rises, you might get your money back in US dollars, but in terms of bitcoin, you will get less.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: July 03, 2016, 02:29:58 PM
For you to become millionaire, you need to make sure that all the coins are mined and none are left.
If no more coins add up, then you are surely going to become a millionaire because you will sell your coins at your rates.

I think that is unrealistic. All the coins will be mined around 2140. So do you think the price will not be more than 1 million in a hundred years?
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: June 13, 2016, 03:21:21 PM
The bitcoin is not dead yet. The recent price rise will attract many users and increase the price again.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Viability of a (Long Term) Mining Career? on: May 28, 2016, 10:14:58 AM
Yeah I am sure most of us can live under $500 a month.

However that would mean moving back in with your parents, riding a bike instead of driving, eating Ramen noodles, wearing used clothes from Goodwill, cutting your own hair, having no insurance, never travelling, not having your own family, etc.

What kind of life is that.

you are right about the bike, but not about food, well i did travel a lot when i was really young due to my father job, so i don't care anymore about travelling

you can have a decent life at 500 let alone at 1k, but only if you are alone yes

Are you living in North America?

From the post post times, I can see Amph lives in Central Europe or maybe in the East Europe.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: May 20, 2016, 08:11:29 AM
Why did the bitcoin price drop to $430? Is there any reason for that? It is very concerning. I though $440 is the bottom.
179  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: May 19, 2016, 06:07:52 PM
10 BTC is a small amount . For millionaire you need 1000BTC

In 2030, the bitcoin will be at least 100,000 each, you just need 10 bitcoin to be a dollar millionaire.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: April 30, 2016, 10:18:02 AM
Sell your bitcoin! It's about to go up.  Tongue

My gut feeling is that bitcoin will be around for hundreds of years.

That is right. So I will not follow your advice. I will keep my bitcon for the long term. The price will rise.
