SHENG looks legit but a big damper is that KYC will be required in order to receive the bounty.
This might be the reason that many forum members who would be otherwise interested are not joining the campaign.
Yeah, Sheng Global now is eyeing to be on Klaytn Blockchain and I do hope they would do it as this network seems to be increasing in popularity. KYC sucks but that is part of altcoin life, anyway hopefully they will neglect requiring it at the end of the campaign. But if there's not much choice what could we do. KYC is becoming increasingly common in the world of blockchain or bounty hunters. I don't think we need to worry about the security of our identities because good projects won't be arbitrary in storing our data. More and more bounty campaigns are asking for KYC and maybe because of regulations implemented in the country where the project was made i would join the campaign as a translator if they wouldn't ask for the KYC process to be finished in order to receive your bounty payments. i am in general expecting the companies to lose or sell my data, so i would rather try to avoid handing it over if i can. |

binance used customers' coins to vote which is not okay. they will undo it or already did, not sure. it looks all very much like a power struggle.
sure, justin sun bought the project so he can do what he wants with his purchase, but if his actions are destroying the whole idea, then i wonder what he intended to achieve in the first place?

For those asking if Bitcoin is the only coin that with halving capability the answer is no, many coins have this feature as well
1. On August 5 2019 LTC completed it's second halving
2. On January 4 2020 BEAM completed it's first halving
3. Both BSV and BCH halving will take place in April 2020
4. Zcash halving will happen around November- December 2020
5. BCD (Bitcoin Diamond) halving will take place on 29 July 2020
The list goes on and on, some are even holding few altcoins that will halve later on but they don't know it, DYOR
Out of all these coins listed, I don't think that there is any interest in the cryptocurrency market for coins apart from LTC, BCH and BSV. BEAM, BCD.etc have very few users and they are outside the top-20 list. Litecoin had its halving last year, and the prices crashed immediately after that event. A recovery is yet to occur for Litecoin. I don't know what will happen with BCH and BSV. But I am a bit optimistic, at least for BCH. Because of the approaching halvings Binance now offers to convert your cryptocurrencies into BCH, DASH or ZEC. DASH has technically no full block "halving" but rather a block reward decreasing by 7.14% every ~383 days. The op requires people in several different geographic locations to coordinate, may take a little time. hopefully huobi and poloniex will follow the same example. reading the comments on twitter give you a bit more of a perspective of how long this should take to undo...

of course, all those bitcoin forks kept the halving rule intact because it helps to control the value.
less availability of newly mined coins and higher demand on the growing market is great for any cryptocurrency.
most people care about bitcoin because it is still the number one coin, then they might have a look after their favorite altcoins.
