Everyone who has any significant portion of BAS is hodling. Whales hold and only sale when it is worth significantly more. I questioned the merits of making a currency for that region of the world- yes, combining all those countries as if you are making something like the euro but for that region- and having it for the merchants to use, over something like bitcoin or litecoin or dash. " the local merchants want to use something in their language " was my response. Now go to their website- see if you can find anything written in any other language apart from... english. Whatever, we all live in our own bubbles anyway. Your dollar to fritter as you like! I believe the website is forward facing for the world. And the world's most common language is English. As for their work in Thailand I believe such business relationships would be done through other more personal channels. |

I would look at it like this: OMG (OmiseGO) is going after a different market, huge multinational corporations. BAS (BitAsean) is going to be like OMG but for smaller local and regional businesses and sole proprietorships. If you use OMG at McDonalds in Thailand, you use BAS at the floating market. I have been reading every page here. Your question list page 37 of july 3 has NOT been answered, yet you continue to involve in this coin??? extremely weird. Gets me thinking bytecodeteam and you may be the same person. For example SunContract you can see the entire team more transparant won't you say  just the words from a sober Dutchman. I have personally been in contact with the Bytecode Dev Team by email and they satisfied my concerns that's why. And no, I am not part of the Dev team, I'm just a stakeholder with some coins. I agree there should be more transparency with regards to the team however seeing that they are soley focused on the project is encouraging. When they are ready they will announce their team. I can tell you this, they are Thai. They are doing what they say they want to do and I am patient because I believe BitAsean fills a niche in that part of the world which other cryptos are not. |

Profit minning is very small.
If you're mining for immediate profit you shouldn't be mining this. This is for people who speculate on future value. Yeah very well put, the coin has little value at the moment but the dev has mentioned some things like partnering with poker sites etc as possibilities that sound promising for a rise in the future, hence us miners, speculate it will rise. Also the name is kickass, and even though its been done before with this name, its the only current active coin. Would be awesome if the coin got listed on coinmarketcap. To get listed on CoinMarketCap we need to have at least 10000 USD daily trading volume on one of the exchanges. Hopefully, we are going to have that on the next month. Does this mean Pokercoin is going to be listed on a better known exchange? I can't see 10,000 USD daily volume happening on the current one. Also are there any discussions regarding changing the emission rate through a halving of the block reward? Something like this could positively impact the price. |

My theory on today's BitAsean rise is that we may be seeing it rise because of the moves against ICOs in China, South Korea and elsewhere.
Since BitAsean at its core is a payment coin for small business and individuals and since they never had an ICO but instead used proof-of-work mining to start, BitAsean (BAS) may seem more attractive in the current regulatory environment. |

Also, can we have a active slack channel for community, its free I would also recommend that he also create a channel on telegram for this coin. You know what the saying is, "If you don't have critics then you're probably not relevant."
I take that newbie account's criticism as a sign that BAS has caught some attention as a promising endeavor.
BTW: Yesterday I bought 10 ETH more BAS. When it's well over $1 some of these people who sold their BAS cheap will REALLY start throwing fud around. So beware.

I would love to see BAS on an asian exchange. Yes making it available to the Asian market would cause wonders for the demand probably. There is just so much liquidity and volume that it would be great to simply have it listed there. Is that a possibility? Anyone has contacts to Chinese exchanges?
