161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite FPGA/ASIC miner on: March 21, 2018, 08:14:29 AM
If you read this thread you will see that iTop also is a reseller for Baikal and a trusted source.
I've started this thread...
I know, but it cost 4500 USD back then and I'm not sure if you allowed shipping to EU, there were shipping to US only I think.

You will get your miner, eventually,  you saved hundreds buying it from asicminermarket, but that comes at a cost, they are possibly mining on it till the fork, then theyd send it. Its an asic, a weak one, and tiny in comparison to others. It would have separate cores to run the Cryptonight lite algo. It cant be updated to cryptonight v7.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think bitmain is secretly mining ETH with ASICs? on: March 20, 2018, 09:35:41 AM
Once xmr forks hopefully amd gpu s will switch over to xmr from eth ( if its profitable). Eth difficulty should drop, but if these eth asics are being "tested" then it could be just an excuse to ramp up the testing with running more machines leaving little difference in eth hashrate. These eth asics might cost a lot to make but its their power efficiency which should make them a money maker.

164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: USELESS HEATER : ANTMINER D3 , WHAT IS NEXT ? on: March 19, 2018, 07:50:04 AM
Just mine other coins, there are shitcoins that brings 15$ daily for 19.3gh batch...
hi there, sorry for bothering you. i bought 50 over amtminer d3 with 3x the cost from the dealer and there are lack of profit nowadays, what kind of coins do pay $15 a day and its much appreciated if you can lead me, thank you

15 a day per machine is nonsense
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite FPGA/ASIC miner on: March 19, 2018, 07:41:47 AM
Can someone explain me why the X10 is not a good option? It supports many algos.

There is another batch coming this month and next, baikal produce a lot more miners then they were capable of last year. They are no longer as valuable as they were in the past because of this. Quark and qubit coins are just being crushed. The extra algos wont save this miner. They will prob be too low  a trading voume and hashrate to absorb the hashing power of these x10 miners. $1900 is still too much. They should be at what they were originally sold at $ 1400 and lower.

Thanks for your reply. Now it's much more clear. Who sells it for $1900?
I use photovoltaic energy so I don't care about electricity costs...
Who have the X10 for sale for 1900?

Resellers of the baikal n s are suddenly getting or giving sweeter deals on sold giant n' s. 2 for 1, free coupons for future purchases 2.7k instead of 4.6k etc. I thought i saw somewhere x10 were going for 1.9k but i must have it confused with a giant n. Its buy 2 units of x10,b , get 3. So 3 x10,b s are now being sold at 8k or 2.6k each.

If any baikal giant n buyers at 6x3600 have not received refunds or credits yet then i wouldn't  be happy, as even bitmain eventually did the right thing.

Is this true Bitmain refunded $9000 to those who purchased for $12000?

Yes they offered 3 more miners for free, or dont pay usd wire to cancel,  or we keep 3k , refund you 9k if you still only want 1 x3.

There should be a new verb out there for peopled buying Asics with no possible ROI.... "getting bitmained"....

to get bitmained - is to buy a highly priced product from Asic manufacturers that will have no ROI whatsoever!

Anyone else with a better definition, by all means join in, because I'm one of those that "got bitmained" with D3's...lol...learned my lesson and staying out, even though my S9's got their returns and more.

I GOT IT! You got Brickmained

I have a strong feeling that they were using these miners themselves to mine Cryptonight coins. Why would they miss this opportunity to mine Cryptonight coins at 220 Kh @550w per machine themselves, making USD 5000 per month per machine?

Now they fear that Monero (and soon other Cryptonight coins) will modify their code to brick this ASIC, they are selling them out to customers. So they are making profit in every possible way.

Just a thought.

That's how ASIC manufacturers have ALWAYS done business.  They sell HEAVILY USED equipment as "new" after they've taken 80+% of the profit.

If that is true then I expect Monero (and later other Cryptonight coins) difficulty to go down (significantly) after this Monero fork.

Dont expect difficulty to drop too much, people forget that CN is mined for free on millions of computers around the world, and the pc owners prob dont even know it. They are the ones paying the higher power bils and suffering the poor pc performance.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please stop using "ROI" when you mean Capital Recovery. it makes you sound dumb. on: March 18, 2018, 07:11:33 PM
People dont say in these forums that they made 100% of ROI. They just say they made ROI. These are different and mean different things , true. Who is going to bother and say i made a 0% ROI but, or i made CR. Youd just confuse traders as CR to them means cash raise, you shouldnt use the same acronym for multiple definitions in the internet, even if it is more accurate.  Its just easier to say i made ROI.

171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer X3 ASIC hashing 220KH CryptoNight on 550w!! on: March 18, 2018, 06:31:02 PM
Anyone knows if bitmain will put the price of 11999 USD on the batch 1 instead of 3000 USD (what is the real price now, cause they payout the difference) ?

That would be a huge difference due to customs / tax

Shipping is a long time away for x3 so they will put 3k on import declaration form. Yes 12k in import taxes is massive compared to 3k. Thats why its cheaper sometimes to buy from a reseller liks eastshore.xyz as anything they deliver wont incur taxes at all or barely.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite FPGA/ASIC miner on: March 18, 2018, 10:30:54 AM
Just another competitor announced an ASIC 124 kh/s 245w for 1600 USD.

How it feel to waste your money ? Cheesy

Bwahahaa makes Shitmains asic at $12k laughable

Bitmain gave refunds their 3k now, and will be faster than 220kh.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Selling at COST. on: March 18, 2018, 10:24:36 AM
Hey guys I purchased 6 of these. I sold 1 so far and have 5 left.

They will be arriving on Wednesday and will not be removed from the manufacturers packaging. Brand new.

I am trying to sell them AT COST, I am not looking for a profit here.

I am attempting to sell another 4 and keep 1 for myself.

I will accept payment via Paypal, Bitcoin, Check or cash(if local, I am located in NJ).

The final cost was $21905 divided by 6 units = $3650 each.

The final cost would be $3650 + shipping.

If anyone is interested please feel free to contact me.

I can provide proof of purchase, or anything else you require.

Thanks!

At cost, theres a first for everything. Good luck selling at a profit resellers.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonmint X1 and now X2 miners? on: March 18, 2018, 10:17:45 AM
which other two besides halong and Bitmain?>

Pinidea and baikal
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer X3 -- 220KH+ Cryponight - 550W on: March 18, 2018, 10:12:28 AM
1. Bitmain has been running the X3, probably 3-4 months ago, just take a look at the hash-rate spike.
2. Bitmain have been selling XMR them for bitcoin and then selling of the bitcoins to fill theirs and roger pockets, fund their operation and Bcash project.
3. Bitmain is selling of their Bcash as idiots buy in.
4. Bitmain bcash serves no purpose except to buy more of their company used or refurbished antminers
5. Bitmain is harvesting and transferring the wealth of other alt coins for their own cockamamie scheme
6. Bitmain did the same thing to Litecoin,Dash,Dodge etc and now it's Monero.
7. Bitmain is the whole reason why the prices are what it is today.
8. Bitmain steals the work, vision of others and claim it's theirs.
9. Bitmain fans here are probably those who already spend $11,999 on a X3,  Cheesy
10. Bitmain operates in China, one of the first few country that claim a ban on crypto but yet they are still operating.  Roll Eyes
11. Bitmain like most China companies have poor business ethics, low quality controlled products, poor after sales service.
12. Bitmain is now a billion dollar industry which have some sort of scheme with the Chinese governments.
13. Bitmain A3 & D3 devices are a good example why you should not buy their products
14. Bitmain only weakness is demand, the supply will stop when the demand stops.

Dispite this they have offered refunds on the x3. Could you imagine innosilicon and ibelink offering refunds for anything they sold at crazy prices last year. I think a lot of people were surprised bitmain did this.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite FPGA/ASIC miner on: March 17, 2018, 09:54:44 AM
Still didn't see any evidence this ASICs exists.
I hope it will arrive next week. Should have been shipped in 72 hours Cheesy Roll Eyes

Wouldnt be surprised if they mine these till the day of the fork, then ship them.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SCAM 1 BAIKAL-N , SCAM 2 Bitmain X3, SCAM 3 Pinidea RR-200.. ASIC hidden mining on: March 17, 2018, 08:01:01 AM
Add halong mining x1 and x2 to the list
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drangon mint x1....roflmao. on: March 17, 2018, 07:51:05 AM
I think this is the best brick so far, its almost half the gamble in cost, less then half the hash, but this is halong though, still unproven until is other miners are shipped. Now they have one with double these specs. (X2) Maybe give em a few more hours and they will have a third model, but they cant call it x3, surely.. Whether they can ship this on time along with all their other miners is the question. Whats with the 6% tolerence?
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite FPGA/ASIC miner on: March 17, 2018, 06:13:44 AM
I think the buyers of cn miners are betting on etn taking their sweet time on forking, monero has planned  theirs and also is a lot more developed then etn, which is rather new. It could take months for all these other cn projects to fork, if at all. Even if they say they plan to, doesnt mean they wont take their time. Their budgets are smaller and the more time it takes to fork the more free publicity and usage they get as people will mine their coins and actually use their network.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL X10 is earning $12.95 / Day ... costs $4000.. good Joke on: March 17, 2018, 05:56:15 AM
If you'll notice on Bitmain's website those $1900 price was for batch4.   batch 3 is $3000.   They are selling forward contracts for those things.

The ones that are available now or shipping in late march = $3000.

Noticeably missing are batches 1 and 2.   Which I never saw on the website.

Those jobs are for bitmain's own personal use.  Tongue

Baikal n ship now to late march 3600$
Batch 1 x3 ship may 15-31 3k
Batch 2 x3 ship june 3k
Batch 3 x3 ship after batch 1- after 31 may 3k
Batch 4 x3 ship after june (july) or batch 2 1.9k
