161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling on: March 20, 2020, 04:33:13 AM
It will definitely affect the cryptocurrency gambling because there will be a lot of people who will stay at home because of the pandemic, but we should not expect a skyrocket increase in traffic because there might be people that aren't keen on online casino unlike sports betting.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play gambling that require skills and techniques. on: March 20, 2020, 03:34:10 AM
If the game features probability then it is most likely you will rely on luck but I can't say much about the poker or blackjack, these are winnable gambles because you can use bluff to your opponent in poker and in blackjack you can learn card counting but it is more likely to win when you play it by physical casino unlike online casinos where the edge is more favorable to the house.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CS:GO and Betting on: March 20, 2020, 02:58:27 AM
I think the reason that th online tournaments are more laggy is because there is no organization that are supervising the tournament thus causing a disruption in games, if it were on the flip side, LAN tournament and it is organized then that means there will be less disruption possible.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: March 19, 2020, 10:48:25 AM
Gambling is not like day trading to be honest, in day trading, you have strategies, patterns and a chance to get atleast 80% wins daily.
There are strategies in gambling. One example is poker where you use bluff to throw off your opponent to win.
But in gambling, there's no cut loss, its either you win your gamble, or you lose your staking fee. Theres no going back or turning back.
Its that straight forward.
Day trading is the same as gambling, you either get a profit from your trade or you will have a loss.
Yes, there are gamblers who profit, and gamblers who lose, and i think we have more gambling losers than winners.
I agree on this one but I think if we are using gambling as something that is analogous with day-trading then it is not a far-fetch idea.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: March 19, 2020, 10:05:28 AM
I would stop gambling because that will hurt my reputation, if I am playing right at the situation. But the problem here is that your campaign competitors will try to use that to their advantage, and if they are to discover that then that will surely damage your reputation so in the end your reputation will not be mended even if I stop gambling.
166  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: March 19, 2020, 09:20:32 AM
Of course it is possible to launder money via Bitcoin. Otherwise, Bitcoin cannot be considered the equivalent of a real currency, because the ability to launder money is a "feature" of every fiat currency.  Grin
I agree with what he/she says but I think the reason that people choose to launder dirty money in bitcoin is because it is safer and almost all transactions are anonymous. Maybe the big similarity of fiat and bitcoin when it comes to laundering money is the process where you can only launder a small amount of money so that it doesn't make that much attention.
167  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin is now legal in india. on: March 19, 2020, 08:42:54 AM
I hope that this decision will prove that digital currency in India will be smooth sailing because this will cause turmoil in people who are in favor of using cryptocurrency. Rough wave of ban lifting and unlifting makes cracks in peoples decision making in making cryptocurrency as a means of transaction or a staple goods in the market.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opera now lets US users buy crypto with Apple Pay or debit card on: March 19, 2020, 07:58:38 AM
This is a very nice feature that makes Opera one step ahead of other browsers. If other browsers are trying to copy this model then it is a win-win situation for cryptocurrency industry because not only that you can have more platforms for transaction this also advertises cryptocurrency effectivity for transactions.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does Bitcoin Have Value? on: March 19, 2020, 07:20:07 AM
I think the reason beside having bitcoin considered as currency is that bitcoin offers a unique way of making transactions. They use blockchain technology for that. Plus it has a hard cap which makes it a product thus giving its value.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Efficiency of using a card with the use of cryptocurrency. on: March 19, 2020, 06:14:17 AM
It is a nice feature for any card but I hope that this innovation wil go further because this is a promising thing for cryptocurrency industry. Imagine having your card stolen but can't be used for fraud because it is layered with the security of crypto. We can be a part of this innovation by supporting it and spreading reputation about the good effects of having to use it.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Theft on: March 19, 2020, 04:58:54 AM
Time and time again, people are always getting their money swindled in the Internet but we don't learn for a long time this scam has been a problem. If people had been using their common sense then there will be no one who will be fooling you, this must be a mantra in the cyberspace, don't give away your information on the Internet.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin during pandemics on: March 19, 2020, 04:06:42 AM
Maybe the reason that there is an impact felt in the cryptocurrency market is that if you look at the spread of diseases. Ebola and Mers was not declared pandemic but it is different for COVID-19 because it was declared WHO as a pandemic thus creating a ripple effect in the market.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading increasing in Venezuela on: March 19, 2020, 03:10:25 AM
It is understandable because they closed down their banks to prevent the spread, they are making measures to prevent a total outbreak. Plus they are experiencing hyperinflation in their currency that is why they are dependent on dollars so it is the reason there is a surge in bitcoin trading.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did this guy just find the founder of Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2020, 01:26:16 PM
People have been eluded by Satoshi for a long time, I think people thatwant to see him in flesh has waned. Maybe he\she doesn't want to be known, let's just respect that Satoshi doesn't want his privacy invaded.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friday the 13th unlucky for Bitcoin too! on: March 18, 2020, 12:38:57 PM
You can't simply draw conclusions from your superstitions that it affects the flow of the market. You could believe the Black Monday though, this is common happening in the market where most of the day a stock fall is mostly Mondays.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Store your bitcoin on: March 18, 2020, 08:36:45 AM
That is a great advice but I think it will be better if you do a buy low sell high scheme because right now guaranteed that bitcoin prices is going down but that is up to you. Holding to your stock and waiting for it lower is a very nice way to idly earn a profit or two.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Banned Crypto Trading on: March 18, 2020, 07:49:02 AM
I think they are just resisting progress. Maybe because they can't control bitcoin is te reason that they are banning cryptocurrency in their country but there is still hope that someday they will accept this progress. Their interviews might be contradicting each other but someday they will agree and compromise.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Coronavirus affects Bitcoin and when it will end on: March 18, 2020, 07:09:25 AM
I hope that these prediction is true because I have a high hope that bitcoin will skyrocket its prices and I hope that people will hold on their stock and do not sell.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would a (bicycle) merchant go about accepting bitcoin? on: March 18, 2020, 06:25:56 AM
I am not experienced with this kinds of transactions but I think you should convert your bitcoin to physical money. I think it is very hard for this merchants to accept bitcoin as payment but if we were to educate them about cryptocurrency and such then they will likely accept the offer. The best way I think would be to pitch them a proposal about the advantages of transactions via bitcoin and tell them that they will be famous when they pioneer this kind of transaction in their own business field.
180  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: U.S. Planning Cryptocurrency Rules on Transparency on: March 18, 2020, 05:28:44 AM
I vote for the further execution of transparency of cryptocurrency because it will establish trust to people that cryptocurrency is safe and this also makes sure that there will be a reduction if not annihilation of transaction for illegal means.
