...the AntMiner S1) automatically show up in MultiMiner with zero configuration (devices themselves must allow RPC API access)

I got my first AntMiner S1 today and plugged it into my LAN but MuM 2.6.3 does not see it. What does "allow RPC API access" mean? I can't find anywhere to set that.

Also, AntMiner S1 comes with cgminer installed. Should I disable that?
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: February 11, 2014, 12:19:32 AM
I'm running MuM 2.6.2 on a new miner with Windows 8.1 for the first time. It keeps doing something that's never happened with Win7. It crashes and when I restart it it seems like it's awakening from Sleep. The MuM popups say that several files like NetworkDevicesConfiguration.xml and KnownCoinsCache.xml have a value of zero. It does not start automatically but when I look at the config it seems to have everything as I set it up.

I've tried uninstalling it and deleting both MuM folders and then reinstalling.

Is there something special that needs to be done to run MuM normally under Win 8.1 Huh

"About how much is the customs fee?  TIA"

If you are in UK, about 35 Pounds each, if you're in the good ole US, $0.

Most excellent as I'm in the colonies  Grin

Think I'll buy one of these AntEaters today.
164  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: February 06, 2014, 02:21:09 AM

Invoice is pink slip on the box, this is always sent with Bitmain miners- is legal requirement for exporting from China - It depends on your local customs usually zero problems

You can pay customs fee as soon as you have tracking number so it flys though customs and don't need to pay on the door either!

About how much is the customs fee?  TIA
165  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Monarch - Delivery Dates on: February 03, 2014, 01:58:04 PM
I am predicting they start shipping mid feb for that preordered early,i think bfl will get it right from now on as there have the money to higher more staff

I predict your Monarch will arrive at your door some time between 2-2-22 and 2-22-22  Cry
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: February 02, 2014, 07:07:39 PM
...it doesnt switch coins just stuck on one and that is actually not the most profitable, also does not does it show the profitability etc on the main screen.

Check the box Display API Error Notifications under Settings/Advanced server settings

If you're using CoinChoose it often fails and MuM will continue to mine its last choice. CoinWarz works better but if you want to switch every 5 minutes you'll hit your daily quota or need to pay his subscription fee.

January's come and gone.

Once again Butterfly Labs proves the only thing we can count on from them
is to be full of shit.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: February 01, 2014, 10:37:49 PM
Yes. It's just as simple as what Raptor said:

Don't mine Scrypt coins less profitable than {percent or Scrypt coin choice box}
Don't mine SHA coins less profitable than {percent or SHA coin choice box}

Mine only the single most profitable Scrypt coin, or
Mine all of the most profitable Scrypt coins; Mine a single Scrypt coin if it exceeds {enter percent}

Mine only the single most profitable SHA coin, or
Mine all of the most profitable SHA coins; Mine a single SHA coin if it exceeds {enter percent}

You read my mind  Grin
I was sitting here thinking do I order an AntMiner S1 and now that I know your v2.6 will make it work I think I will.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: February 01, 2014, 10:09:44 PM
Simple, I plug my ASICs into my headless scrypt miners with 4 to 6 video cards running. MuM does a great job of dealing with them both!
So I select:
Don't mine coins less profitable than BitCoin, and
Mine all of the most profitable coins; Mine a single coin if it exceeds 150.

This works great for SHA coins and divides up my ASICs evenly mining either BTC by itself or BTC plus all others between 100 and 149.9 or putting all ASICs on a single SHA coin if its profitability exceeds 150% of BTC.

But, the problem is that with scrypt CoinWarz quotes profitability as a ridiculous percentage of BTC and not LTC as they should. Therefore, the top scrypt coins are listed with values in the thousands of percent, e.g. at this moment DOGe is on top with 6,931%. If I pick percentages based on scrypt my ASICs will shut down.

Thank you that gives me one half of the equation - but how is this negatively impacting your Scrypt mining?

Is it because of the inclusion of "Mine all of the most profitable coins"? And this makes all Scrypt devices mine a variety of coins?

I promise I'm not trying to be dense I'm just neck-deep in totally unrelated code!  Grin

If you can post screenshots even with little arrows saying "it shouldn't be doing this" it would be great. I can't address a lot of this stuff immediately so the more notes, pictures, etc. I have so that I can understand later, the better. Thanks!

There's no adverse scrypt issue. This is a request for an enhanced more versatile feature. I believe you mentioned you don't even mine scrypt so I fully understand why this sounds a bit odd. I just would like to be able to do for scrypt what I can already do for SHA coins. In fact, scrypt would benefit much more from mining the several leading contenders since scrypt coins do a lot more hoppin' and boppin' as they vie for the lead than SHA coins do.

On another topic, I totally gave up on CoinChoose as they're down too much and paid the CoinWarz guy to buy his API subscription. I'd much rather give the money to you. I suggest you incorporate profitability calcs into MuM. Collect the difficulties from the various blockchains and plug them into a formula. If you want to be a real SuperHero you could project the more predictable coins like UNO and ZET and switch all miners to them as they move towards exceeding BTC giving time for VarDiff to adjust up and maximize the benefit to the miner.

Such as:
Don't mine SHA256 coins less profitable than: <dropdown>
Don't mine SCRYPT coins less profitable than: <dropdown>

Sure if you can give me a scenario where this would change the way the current Auto-Mining works. Again maybe I'm missing something simple but it would be easier if you guys laid it out for me  Grin

Under Strategies Optional it says:
Don't mine coins less profitable than {pull-down coin list}
Don't mine coins less profitable than {empty box}

MuM can mine both scrypt and SHA at the same time so what happens to scrypt if I choose a SHA coin Huh
It would be nice if the first line specified a scrypt threshold and the second for SHA.

Then a toggle radio button:
Mine only the single most profitable coin, or
Mine all of the most profitable coins; Mine a single coin if it exceeds {empty box}

What goes in the second box, a percent or a coin name Huh
It seems to be a percent since it accepts a number and not a coin name, but then don't we need to specify scrypt and SHA separately since people erroneously state scrypt profitability relative to BitCoin instead of LiteCoin.
One for scrypt and one for SHA would be nice.

I have a bunch of BitFurys plugged into the same miner and it's fun to watch Mine all of the most profitable coins in action  Grin

PPC did something weird! I still have well over a million shares on this epic 600 hour no blocks found marathon but the estimation shows 0... Why would it do this to me?

That's a good thing. Our shares will sit there until a block is found. The estimates probably got zeroed during the database rebuild and may not reappear until a block is found. Is this an estimate for PPC:

107 coin reward x 1,000,000 your shares/352,952,962 round shares = 0.30 PPC

A few days ago you send me a payment of 1.1 ZET but it has never arrived on my cryptsy account..
TXID: c3a4c52aebcb2031b7c10894ff6a172e6b981f0517677546feeafa350de1cd49
Wallet: ZVL2DJthC4nuE7Rsuvs82gnNaFW8fRnBHX

Do i still have to wait or are the ZET payment postponed?
~ Luc

If you you got a TXID number then the payment went out. Your problem is at Cryspy. You should submit a support ticket and include TXID, date and amount and they'll find it and credit your account. For awhile Vern had an audit request button but I haven't seen that lately.
175  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help... canont withdraw btc from btce... on: January 30, 2014, 09:56:24 PM

176  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: campbx customers service is AWFUL on: January 30, 2014, 09:54:04 PM
I am currently having a bad experience with campbx.

I sent them a $1000 money order around December 19, 2014.

I paid to do a USPS trace on the money order and it says it was deposited by Bulbul Investments (campbx) on December 23rd, 2014.

To this date (Jan 19 2014) I still do not have my $1000.

I have been in touch with campbx customer service for over 2 weeks now and have been getting the runaround. They keep saying "wait one more week" and giving me reasons for delays. Then they told me to get a USPS trace (at my $5.25 expense) and they would take care of it. I did this and got the trace and showed them and STILL no money.

I have all the proof needed: a tracking number showing delivery and with signature confirmation, and a USPS scanned trace showing Bulbul Investments deposited it.

I don't know what to do and I am at the mercy of their "customer support" which keeps giving me delays.

Where's my money??
Don't feel like The Lone Ranger, me too  Angry

They won't admit they have your money and they won't give me my money. Perhaps they were trading with the float and lost. A broker should be making their money from fees, commissions, and margin interest.

I suspect they're going under, I just hope we get our money out first  Cry
177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is CampBX a ripoff? on: January 30, 2014, 08:34:07 PM
Well they are very slow and Keyur had this** to say in an interview but yet no phone number is available to contact them and they are not responding to my tickets.

**
However, users aren’t the same as exchanges. Mithawala said an exchange has to be transparent, visible and credible: it has to be backed by people you can name and phone numbers you can call.

I believe my funds will be 'unlocked' but the delay is plain wrong at this point.

This is a quote from an interview found here:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/07/10/camp_bx_goes_live/

Did you try 510-545-3987 Huh
http://www.manta.com/c/mx3x6lq/bulbul-investments-llc

I called it 2 days ago and no answer or voicemail. I also tried emailing support@campbx.com and it bounced. I submitted a support ticket 2 days ago and nothing yet.

I've been converting my BTC to $s there since May and have had no problems for 16 withdrawals, until now. In the last 9 days I've made two ACH withdrawals to the same account as always and nothing. My credit union researched it from their side and called that phone # and learned nothing.
178  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Camp BX Hacker / Security Audit: Results on: January 30, 2014, 08:25:28 PM

Has CampBX failed Huh

I requested a withdrawal 9 days ago and nothing.
I submitted a support ticket and nothing.
I called and no answer.
I emailed support@campbx.com and it bounced.

In case anyone didn't notice the news update, the DDOS-protected EU high hashrate server is now available at eu2.multipool.us.

What is the hash rate when deciding if one is high?  E.g., if I have 4 BFL Singles on one instance of cgMiner for a total of 232 GH/s do I consider that as a 58 GH/s hash Rate or a 232 GH/s hash rate. What about if I have 20 BitFurys mining in one instance of cgMiner do I consider my hash rate 2.2 GH/s or 44 GH/s?
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 28, 2014, 03:03:04 PM
How come we cant mine TAG coin on the multipool? (also why are a few different coins not enabled?)

Did you try doing a search in this forum Huh

Flound has explained the reasons.
