161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 13, 2019, 04:07:12 PM
In my opinion, I think there are usually a lot of gamblers or traders who are unable to control their greediness when they are making money from either gambling or trading, it is also not an easy task for human to control their greediness for more profit from gambling or trading as emotion would usually take over a person mind, I guess it is truly not an easy feat to become rich either from gambling or trading.
That is exactly right, we have to somehow understand why only few people succeeded as a gambler. Greed is one of the hardest emotion that a human could control aside from lust and pride. It is pretty common for even a professional gambler not to be able to control their greed in some occasions. They just somehow manage to make an epic comeback and can overcome those odds. While on the other hand, us which is not a professional one gets burried more
Greedness has been the more reason why people do lose in gambling and investments. It is a very bad spirit and very few can control it. I have been trading and gambling and two things that has made me to make loses are greed and impatience. If you can get control over these two you will succeed in both gambling and trading!
162  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lonliness is a disease or gift? on: August 13, 2019, 03:48:18 PM
Loneliness is the saddest thing in the world.
Very saddens to be lonely! It can makes someone kill himself. I feel that before and it can make you develop a very bad habit that you will regret later. Many people are addicted to drugs, mastibation, pornography and gambling today because of loneliness. To me it a curse and tried to find someone to share your feelings with is the solutions.
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bearish short term but Bullish long term on: August 13, 2019, 02:19:11 PM
It seem bitcoin need to go down a bit before next bull run. The buying pressure does diminish whenever bitcoin cross $12,000 for more than a week now. A fall to $10800 resistant turned support level might trigger that in the next few days. The volume and momentum indicators are showing indecision! the bear will get weaker when Bitcoin get below $11,000.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash getting closer. What next? on: August 13, 2019, 10:44:43 AM
there is plenty coming from ETH for sure https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ethereum
This is good news. I also see ethereum recovery very soon and heading towards $300 as it is shown on the chart. I am not the fan of ethereum but I do believe that something is underway technically that might push it across $300.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: IS LONGS/SHORTS RULING THE MARKET PRICE? on: August 13, 2019, 08:07:08 AM
We have seen people talk about charts and the indicators and all that and they are trying to figure out what actually makes bitcoin go up and down but whenever you take a look at the charts you will realize that a chart could be right or wrong at most 2-3 times in a row and eventually fails.

However, if you check bitmex and all other places like that which gives leverage to whales to actually change the price, it is clear that they are actually inside the market knowing where it will go because they are the ones making it happen.

A whale with a bunch of bitcoin (lets say over 1000 btc) can literally buy 100 bitcoin worth shorts and sell all his 900 bitcoins to drop the price of bitcoin and make a ton of money and get more than 1000 after the process is done. Maybe we should not look at the charts but start looking at the changes in leverage purchases? That seems like a bigger impact on the price.
The whales also do study the chart to know were the gravity is! In the market, we do have many whales and most of them tried to outsmart each other and if a whale mistake using leverage trading without looking at the chart to see what is happening he might have his entire capital wipe out by the bigger whales.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What does the future holds for crypto? on: August 13, 2019, 07:30:14 AM
I believe the future of crypto will continue to grow and I think there will be more countries that are friendly to crypto.
but for the price of bitcoin I'm not sure it will reach 500k by 2030 but that's just my thought.
every new technology that emerges and is useful will then spread to various countries then the government will also embrace blockchain technology one day.
The governments, elites, and politicians know they don't have that capacity to limit bitcoin in any way and the only option they may have is to adopt it as it was done in the internet era. Blockchain technology is too good to be ban and in the future, almost all the bank, and financial institutions we have now are completely going to use it.
167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychological Analysis for trading Crypto on: August 13, 2019, 05:59:29 AM
Psychological Analysis is quite deeper than of a simple market understanding or we just do the basic things. Traders must importantly know about analysis, dig deeper for more understanding and create our own TA's. This will help us to become more profitable than casual traders but of course, we need to consider also the market situation as a basis of our TA's for it become applicable or gonna help nothing.
If you developed a TA that help you understand the price action? You have gold in your hand. Instead of mining bitcoin, you will be getting it through trading. Technical indicators such as candlestick do bring into clear view of the position of the market situations.
168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it's all so fragile, what's the point? on: August 12, 2019, 08:58:05 PM
Everything gone in the blink of an eye.
Weeks worth of hard work up in smoke...
Or worse.

If it's so easy to lose everything, why bother?

I've shared countless horror stories of making all kinds of stupid mistakes while trading.
It's embarrassing to admit... but some of those mistakes I've made over.. and over.. and over again...

I have always had a thick skull and been stubborn as hell.
All that pain…
Has taught me valuable lessons in how to keep myself - and my money - safe.

Trading is no different than anything else in life.

When I step into a car...
The first thing I do is put on my seat belt.
I've been doing that for so long, I don't think about it… It just happens.

Wearing a seat belt was a rule growing up.
My parents wouldn't start the car until they heard me click it.
That rule has saved my life.

Thankfully crypto isn't that dramatic.
This is only my bankroll we're talking about.

But protecting my bankroll is damn important to me.
So I wear my seat belt when I trade, too.

My top two most important day trading rules are:
- No trading session may exceed 4% loss
- No individual trade may exceed 2% loss

Those rules address my personal weaknesses, and are tailored for my strategy.
They won’t stop me from getting a trade wrong and losing money…

But they will help me prevent massive damage to my bankroll.

What trading rules do you swear by?
I hope we all see that trading is real and  there is no manipulation in it, it is the way life itself also worked! Trading like the game of life really needs patience and perseverance in other to succeed. It is not a game for children but for the matured mind. Remember, if you lose all your capital in a single trade, it doesn't worth it.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling turn an atheist to theist and superstitious? on: August 12, 2019, 08:25:42 PM
What's your opinion, do you believe in God/power that you think may help you win?

No, I don't believe that some supernatural power will help me win a gambling game.

I agree with this. God doesn't want us to gamble so He won't support or help anyone in this. For me it's just luck. Luck is considered a skill, so it's up to the person whether he can win or not in a gambling game. So don't include God in it.

I think gambling has the potential to turn an atheist into theist because of fear/risk it has. Smiley

It has, some gambler find solace in the teachings of god when rock bottom and nowhere else to lean on. I personally have seen someone
became religious after losing everything to gambling (property, family, friends etc..). even though I am not religious my self I am glad that
religion can sometime help a person pick themselves up and start again.

Yes, it depends on the situation. When a gambler reach the rock bottom and see that he is always losing, he will tend to change his perspective on life and there's a possibility that He will turn to God, believe in Him, pray that God will change his perspective, and to start living a better life away from his gambling addiction.
Gambling can change your perception on God but it cannot lead to becoming an atheist as most of the atheist I have come across don't believe in gambling Or are be gamblers.  Not believe in God has nothing to do with gambling as most of them are even philosophers and scientists.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dice - why do you play in a particular casino? on: August 12, 2019, 05:20:39 PM
There are many factors that I consider. If I'm getting freebies from a casino like from a signature campaign I usually choose them if they are offering games that I want to play at the moment. It's more convenient to spend money you're given anyway. I also don't advertise casinos that I don't trust and never played at.

I do too. I've been playing to these trusted sites that other people are playing too. There are a lot of other sites out there but I don't want to try other sites since even if I tried it a little, I still want to stick with the site I am playing. I can't say that it is loyalty but I am used to that kind of sites. They have the reputation and the trust of gamblers so that is obvious I will be sticking to it.
You might be right about the reputations of the gambling site you're talking about but I can assure that 97% of all online gambling site were giving bad reputations at a point  although some didn't worth giving the bad reputation because their problem was actually caused by bug/hacker. What I'm trying to point out is that nothing is ever safe.
We don't actually have a safe system all over the world. The big Bank we are hearing the name today may in few years from now turn to a scam or fraudulent bank talk more of gambling sites. I prefer stability in gambling sites but that does not mean I will not be prepared for a bad time.
171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage your profits in trading? on: August 12, 2019, 04:55:32 PM
I know it's advisable to buy low and sell your coin at a higher price. What I don't understand is that when you sell high, do you suppose to buy so that your profit will not depreciate when the price is going low? I need an expert to clarify me, Thanks.
we have many forms of trade in the crypto market and it depends on the area you are good at! In hedge, you will need to buy back for your profits to increase but in other forms of trade, it might not be necessary especially in holding! If you keep the hedge on one trade there is no way your profits will keep increase rather it will continue depreciating.
172  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Crypto Becoming More Accepted? on: August 12, 2019, 04:35:03 PM
I think yes, there are more store now open to accept crypto, but its not a significant improvement for btc, but at least the growth is not stagnant, now the acceptance is rely on the government, if the government agree to adopt I think the acceptance will be really fast

I think no reason why government shouldn't agree to adopt crypto.
More money and transactions means more taxes and more taxes means more for them Smiley
I think governments will only have an interest and have more funds if she can taxe bitcoin! If bitcoin is not taxable then we should expect governments to lose interest in it and instead of adoption, she will keep fighting it. When governments use bitcoin as a store of value that is when we would see it going into the mainstream and it really values come out.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 12, 2019, 03:58:12 PM
I just stoped after my first big win because i thought or guess when i continue and i lose all i getting mad real big !
I was thinking what a lucky guy i am after i has won ! But there was also some losing and i thought just fuck it i wil never play again.
@Lafu this does happen to all of us and it seems I am afraid to play gambling or betting after winning. The fear of losing is always there as gambling is almost about losing money. If I win the desired to keep playing is there then after I will begin to think "what if I play now and lose what I just make"?
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Success on: August 12, 2019, 01:56:10 PM
Nice story! I prefer more alts because my capital isnt in tens of thousands.
Just caught my mind, OP, I assume you are a good trader but I wouldn't encountered others in thus field of trading to follow suit with you, most especially if they are new to trade. For those who are new to trade  are not encourage to start with Bitcoin but rather to Start with Altcoins.
My first trade was done in Altcoins and I was able to make some reasonable profit's from my first trade and that gave me more reasons to continue my trade on part-time basis.
After reading your comments, I was tempted to agree that you have little knowledge on how the cryptocurrencies market work. You can trade with as little as $10 or 0.001btc!  The same way you can also trade any other coin and what matter is how intelligent you are and your skills and knowledge on the interpretation of the technical and fundamental indicators including candlestick pattern. The coin/tokens you are trading doesn't matter much!
175  Other / Off-topic / Re: The 2017 ICO will never recover, will the IEO be similar? on: August 12, 2019, 10:29:38 AM
ICO faded away last year (2018). And with IEO, I'm expecting the same thing although I don't have a timeframe on when it can happen.

It's a cycle, after it fades away there will be another invesment trend.
IEO, has more background than ico!  It is a bit secure since there are through exchange's platforms that are familiar with us. Ico boom that happens in 2017, attract a lot of scammers that take over the market and unleash their dubious activities on the innocent investors.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 12, 2019, 10:07:09 AM
In my experiences, I already won but a little amount of BTC only betting on a boxing fight which is Pacquiao-Thurman fight.

Now can I ask you, did you ever won a huge amount of money on gambling?
Share your experience.
I have won around 0.001btc and I have lose 0.015btc in a single betting. I think it is far easier to loses heavily than winning in gambling. I have won several little Satoshi but anytime I tried to  risk huge amount of money it always ends up in loses. For those that have been winning huge, I think luck has been on their side.
177  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bustabit: scam or hack, you be the judge. on: August 12, 2019, 05:02:30 AM
So you are trying to say that Daniel does not notice about the hack or he is letting the hack to make investors lose their investment money? Sorry for asking, but I dont get the idea of this topic since there is no solid evidences to be called as scam/hack. I believe Daniel is very trusted person in this community so I dont think he is saying the truth that there is no suspicious thing from mentioned bustabit's users.

Yeah me too, seems like just a post about how similar two or more accounts (clearly way too many) have the same betting strategy. How is that indicative of hack? But yeah, if you consider having a VPN and creating multiple user accounts and hacking the system into believing that there are multiple users playing then yeah, you could call that a hack.

However, there is no intention or a little reward for site admins to catch these shady accounts. After all, they bring activity, which is good for attracting new users.
Maybe the owner should put a price to those that will research and find out all these manipulators. With the evidence, @op was able to provide it is proved that all these users he has mentioned are manipulating the gambling system to enrich themselves. Bustabit is one of the gaming and gambling system with trusted owner and I will advise that he should faceout all this scammers and hackers.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 11, 2019, 04:26:11 PM
The worst of gambling habits that can cost a gambler is when winning and still want to win more thereby end up losing the entire winning and run into loss and still want to get or recover the lost. Never try to recover your lost when you are losing in any gambling platform's.
The desired to recover our lose is part of all of us and I think it always links to the huge loses that most people have made. I do know that people will try not to keep losing but it is the addiction that keeps people into gambling. The gambling sites do benefits from the addictions that have turned to habit.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 10, 2019, 05:57:08 PM
I have an India customers that live complete on gambling. If he win most time as he always do, he do come to my business area to buy clothing. It is one of the example of the person I have seen living completely on gambling and has made fortune through it.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sold too damn early!! Kicking myself... on: August 09, 2019, 04:29:54 AM
I decided to sell today out of boredom...
The second I did, the price shot up like a rocket ship! 🚀
I KNEW this shit was rigged.

Now I'm sitting on the sidelines... kicking myself.

It's not the first time this has happened.
Or the second... or the third...
It feels like this happens all the time.

Now - I know that the markets are not actually rigged.
I know that my brain is being overly dramatic.
Brains tend to remember things that trigger strong emotions.
…like the pain of watching the price climb after I sold.

When I sell and price jumps up...
I get frustrated and emotional.

I tell myself that's part of trading.
...but it doesn't matter
I can't remember all the times where selling was the perfect timing.
That's just not how the brain works.

There's only ONE way to be sure we're being honest with ourselves…
To really know if our brain is playing tricks...
Keeping a trading journal.

Looking back at my journal, I can see that I sell early ~30% of the time.
I'll never be perfect...
But 30% is too damn high!

Here's my plan to do better:

1. Continue journaling every trade.
It's kind of a pain in the ass, but SO valuable.
I journal my entries and my planned profit/stop loss.

2. Take it one step further.
I write down why I bought in the first place.
What did I see that looked so juicy?

3. If I want to sell early...
I have to be sure I can write down what changed.
What new information did I see that made a difference?
If I can’t, then I stick to my original plan.

Tweaking my strategy and holding myself accountable is how I continue to raise the bar.
If you don’t have a trade journal, why the hell not?

It happen to all of us time to time and we are having many story like this anytime the market is pumping. Someone buy Bitcoin at $8765 and when it get down below $4000 out of panic he sold it and a week after bitcoin jump to above $5000 by the end of the month it was trading around $10,850. As far as you sell above your purchase price you have not lose anything and since you have gotten this experience? Apply it and always considered before you sell.
