164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VTC] [VERT] ThisIsVtc.com Announcing the Vert Community Alliance on: October 17, 2014, 03:47:35 AM
VTC is more and more popular now.  Grin

Rumor has it that VTC sold out at the Hashers United conference to GAWminers.  GAW and VTC worked out an algorithm that will only allow GAW ASICs to mine it and will result in pushing all the GPU miners out of the coin.

Any sources? easy to spread FUD

Watch the video, closing panel
http://hashersunited.com/

I can't find the post.  Hashtalk.org is a horrible forum to search.  You can only get recent posts or be very good on your search queries.  Josh Garza confirmed that they are mining Scrypt-N and X11 on Zenpool even though no ASICs have been developed specifically for the algorithm.  Josh announces a join alliance with a coin that will be exclusively mined by Zencloud only in December, at the same time VTC will change its algorithm.

Group buy of Volcano 300 MH\s

Shares :
60 Shares = 300 MH\s
1 Shares = 5 MH\s
1 Share/$ = 30$ = 5 Mh\s

Fee:
1 Share/Month =  5 MH\s/month = 4.5$

Is that before or after the operation cost.  The thing is 1 Kilowatt!!!

That thing do eat a lot of power....

166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the 'best' coin to mine with CPUs? on: October 17, 2014, 02:55:42 AM
So no CPU or GPU mining possible profitably.

There are some CPU and GPU which is profitable but your electricity need to be dirt cheap...
'

Dirt cheap as in free.   CPU and GPU mining is for the nostalgic or college kids that have the university paying for electricity.  The mining industry has matured beyond CPUs and GPU.

Hi everyone new here and have been lurking for a long time. Was wondering when you can pay with paypal. At the bottom of the ltcgear page it state's now accepting paypal.

Email Chris at chris@ltcgear.com  He may be able to set you up.  Afgter being in ltcgear for well over 2 months I can say that Paypal is moot.  It protected me from a lot of scammers but Chris is the real deal.

I like Mint, Vert & Darkcoin. Myriad and Huntercoin are also looking very interesting.

Good luck with VTC.  Josh Garza of GAWminers made a deal to design an algorithm that will make VTC ASIC compatible with GAWminer ASIC chips.  GPU miners will be lefts in the dust.

Dear Eric,

I'm responding here anonymously, because it seems you are giving nothing on privacy statements and privacy data protection.

In other countries then US, you would propably yourself made a lawsuit only for this.

I noticed that many people, who you call "hackers", are experiencing lot of illegal charges from various companys, all related to GAW Miners, and even from GAW Miners directly on their CreditCards. The charges sum is not at all plausible, so I don't know why you are trying to do this or what is going in your mind by doing so. In the EU, you are going to get a law suit only for trying to illegally charge creditcards without that the holder granted you this transaction. We will see if I get some of these people to start this law suit against you, remember, in EU on illegal charges, you get 5 years of prison and it seems you are doing it at a systematic manner, that would be worse. So instead of accusing us, stealing your bitcoins, what defenitly nobody did, you should check your own illegal activities.

Just to summarize whats going to happen: You are accusing a lot of people being hackers and exploiters and wanting the BTC back from them.

You did say, there will be no more primes to be sold. After Buyback-Buyback was closed, you gave all the resellers, additional codes to sell more primes for another time period. That again, is lying to your customers, creating another demand to invest more money (insider-trading). All people bought the codes from your resellers and redeemed them on your platform, they were paid legal and acquired legal. No exploit was used to get to this point.

The only thing was selling this bought primes on a user market for a user defined price. You did not even see how many MHs a prime has after redeeming, so how could anybody know that were 25 or 1 or 5.

So lets get this straight. You just created this whole thing. You failed with your announcement on no more primes being sold. You failed on delivering codes to your resellers. You failed on redeeming this codes. You failed on stopping your platform in an appropriate time frame, after realising it failed. You failed on how to handle this mess and now generated your own failure into a even bigger failure. And now you are going filing law suits against this users? Because you failed this whole shit and need somebody to blame of?

Think of this: You could have stopped the market. Stopped your resellers selling failed codes. Then bring back the market. What harm would have been done? Every user would have bought Primes and were given the primes they bought. You would have made cash from your resellers, you would have made cash on the market 10% for each sell. Your customers would have been happy. You would have had no problem.

Now you reverted it all, generated another whole big mess and a another PR desaster. You should really think of how you handle situations.

Could you too think of, what is going on if somebody sold their accounts on privat? They probably have nothing to do with it. And you are giving them legal actions warnings...

You really have done a big whole failure here and it will bounce back to you more than you will think of now.

And said all of this, nobody stole BTC from you. You stole them, by reverting your system.

You can answer this email. I will check it and answer you back what your decision is. If you are filing law suits against any of your customers, we are doing it straight way back to you and this will be worse for you then for us.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hosted Scrypt hashpower provider! on: October 16, 2014, 09:20:14 PM
What is the ROI on genesis-mining scrypt.  I know they have the comparison table on their site but its all just fluff.  Can anyone who has ROI'd tell me how long it took and how consistent have the payouts been.  I've been on zencloud for about 2 months but I"m getting pissed with all the bugs and crap that GAW is putting us through.  WHen the Prime market opens up again I want to dump them and look for another cloud miner to diversify in.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: hashra.com asic scrypt.... scam? on: October 16, 2014, 09:16:32 PM
Hashra.com and Simon are for real - I've purchased a few of their machines

Yeah BFL was for real back in the day.  I bought several FPGAs from them.  The reality is that just because it started honest it doesn't mean it ends up that way.  People get silly when it comes to money.  Simon bit off more than he can chew.

176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 16, 2014, 09:08:42 PM

We are under extreme financial pressure and to expect anything higher this late in the process is not realistic as the funds aren't there and to be perfectly blunt we may not be by December.

Finally an honest and true statement from Alfa-Sprouts Tech

Only because it was not followed up by that is a fact.

(I am using normally another account here on forums)

This is what i have received recently, have anyone of you also received such e-mail?

Hello there,

In regards to our ongoing court dispute we must first state as per our cancellation policy it has been over 5 months since you placed your order therefore you are no longer eligible for a refund. Please note we have been very clear and open with our terms of order, it was released as a news update, it is easily available on our website and you are urged to view it on the product page before you order. The DSR only applies to consumers and you are a business customer with us. I can assure you that our legal matters are dealt with by a leading law firm in the UK. Our terms of order are completely legal in the UK. It was typed up by solicitors who specialize in this area of law. They have advised us that all our customers will be legally classed as businesses for many reasons, one being that the hardware we are selling can only be used for mining cryptocurrencies which is a business practice according to UK law. So we assure you we have done our research on this; we wouldn't be having this discussion if we were breaking the law. Having said that we, and we're sure you feel the same way, would like to avoid having to go to court; this would avoid you having to travel to the UK, pay court fees and having to wait until December in hopes of a refund.
So to save both our time we would like to settle this now, we want to refund you %65 (leaving the vast majority of your funds with you and only %35 for us to pay for the expenses of your order) of your total payment as a gesture of goodwill. Please understand this has been no small undertaking and the vast majority of the funds have now gone into the production of these devices as was the point of this project which was clear from the start. We are under extreme financial pressure and to expect anything higher this late in the process is not realistic as the funds aren't there and to be perfectly blunt we may not be by December.

If you agree to this as a full and final settlement please advise. Your refund will be issued both via PayPal and bank transfer. For an international bank we will need an IBAN and/or an account number (please ensure it is not your local bank account number but the longer one used for international transfer), a swift code and/or your banks address, your account name and address. Please try to provide all or as much of this information as possible in case we run into any issues to save us from having to email again to ask for it. For a UK bank we will only need your account number, sort code, your account name and address.

Regards,

Alpha Technology

If you have any thoughts on strategy, please write me a PM.

LOL if they are sending you that email then they are on the ropes, I bet the mass PayPal funds getting reversed are killing them now and they are trying to plea deal their way into getting some money out of this failed scam.

Time to shrug off the pain and put them in the corner and just have at it, a left, right, left, right, left, right....
178  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Banned from HashTalk.org - where is my button!?? on: October 16, 2014, 09:02:53 PM
I agree 100% with everything you said....

Gawminers is a ripoff....they have no clue what they are doing!

I sold all my hashing power and am doing better on zeushash and zoomhash.

GAW is going to be a hacker magnet soon.  With now many bugs they have and how easy they are to exploit, I mean they are giving hashlets away by sending the wrong codes, every script kiddie will be on there scanning their web server for vulnerabilities.  Be careful
179  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW ZenCloud ZenPool Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: October 16, 2014, 09:00:36 PM
A lot of governments, local, state federal, etc have laws against this kind of roll back.

Massachusetts Law ->> Section 43. Any person who receives unsolicited goods, wares or merchandise, offered for sale, but not actually ordered or requested by him orally or in writing, shall be entitled to consider such goods, wares or merchandise an unconditional gift, and he may use or dispose of the same as he sees fit without obligation on his part.

General Laws, PART I, TITLE XV, CHAPTER 93, Section 43

So if GAW rolled back a purchase you made regardless of what the amount was and what you paid for it was a gift and GAW was breaking the law in doing the rollback on you.  If they initiated charges on your card for these accidental purchases because you haven't contacted them on the few hours they gave you they are in break of US Consumer Protection Law.

Yeah it sucks that it took so long for LTC to get on Coinbase.  I mean 2015 is going to be terrible for Litecoin, coinbase will be the nail in the coffin for this coin.
