There were a lot of threads about this earthquake already.
According to official figures, the death toll is currently 42310. However the actual number is unfortunately much higher. Those who haven't yet been recovered from the rubble, those who cannot be identified and the disappearances etc. reasons this figure doesn't reflect reality. I wish there were fewer deaths, but this number increased due to improper construction, insufficient control mechanisms, contractors stealing materials, ineffective post-disaster organization and bad weather conditions etc. There was a great earthquake 24 years ago too, unfortunately we saw that lessons still weren't learned from mistakes after all these years.
Don't try to blame the contractor or the organization after the disaster. Earthquakes and floods are the wrath of mother nature that is caused by none other than us humans. We destroy, exploit mineral resources indiscriminately, destroy the atmosphere ... all just to serve the needs of people, including you and me. We should all have some responsibility for that, not just blame others. I believe these things will happen more and more because with the current rate of destruction of nature, it is inevitable. |

Came across this video in which a person questions whether they prefer to take 100$ or Bitcoin. The kids never took time, all of the sudden chosen 100$. I'm not specific about the location this had taken place, but it looks like they're are Western people. This makes me think, awareness is not upto the mark and in all means we need to educate people. Even the Western young generation unaware of it is really unbelievable. 100$ or BitcoinNice try OP!  These dumb kids have no idea about bitcoin so they will choose a 100$. I would rather surprise if they choose bitcoin over 100$. They thought bitcoin is some currency used in game. The interviewer guy should ask a random guy on the street instead of asking a kid. That's right, and I don't think these are kids. If I'm not wrong these are young generation who are much used to technology and everyone are much used to smartphones. Even in such situation these people not knowing about bitcoin is something unusual. Anyhow after this video few might search for bitcoin and feel bad of not opting to go with bitcoin and falling for mere $100 in cash. Nothing is out of the ordinary in this situation, not everyone with access to technology or using a smartphone will know everything. I mean, many kids are still surrounded by their parents, and they don't need to worry about money, even if they've heard of bitcoin before, they won't care. Young people today are interested in bitcoin because they need money, and what they care about is money, so kids who are given money by their parents won't care about bitcoins or anything else. I don't think they will believe in bitcoin even if they search for bitcoin later, faith in bitcoin cannot be created just by watching a few videos. If they find negative videos about bitcoin, they will feel they were right to choose $100 instead of 1 BTC. |
