Another suggestion would be to lower the POS rewards.
Price is supply and demand. The above suggestion would raise demand.
Lowering supply would also help in firming prices.
I am currently averaging 9% to 10% per month - far in excess of the stated 50%.
Inflation over 100% per year makes price stability difficult if not impossible.

Returns steady, good.  But with quite some fewer stakes than last time, lets hope that's less luck last week and not that much higher difficulty/network weight. The thing that made up for it is the Sprouts and Cube prices are doing some nice recovering and Paycon rose slightly as well, that's good to see. Indeed I was pleasantly surprised at the total as I too had noticed the stakes were down on last week. On another note I have had someone looking into the SandG code and the issue I am having with POS, believes he has solved the issue and for a price of 0.6 BTC will provide an updated code, along with a new win and Mac wallet. I think it too high a fee but as with everything I wont make a decision without asking here first, also what are your thoughts on POS rewards amounts etc I have an idea of what I think would work, but lets get your thoughts Crunck Concerning POS - I like POS coins but the problem, as I see it, is there are way more POW Sandg being produced than can be absorbed by the portfolio profits. This causes rock bottom prices with sellers dumping at any price because they can mine a lot fast. POS gives a reason to hold but I would expect the POS to be dumped. The key is stay with POW and lower the rewards to a level which is lower than the portfolio can absorb (raising prices) or, add POS and substantially lower or eliminate POW. POS must be meaningful to expect people to hold coins but, result in less coins that are currently being produced. |

OMG! I glanced at my wallet this morning, and found 24.76 "extra" FLY (flies? lol) in my wallet, putting me over the 100 mark!
(One way to shut me up about selling other coins to buy FLY, etc..., lol.... so I'll have to take on that suggestion about setting a goal for 200!)
I see that Santa, in the form of Mr Generosity is alive and well.

Just got the bad news.
Are all assets frozen on Cryptsy ? Or only BTC LTC. Hence can I pull out my DASH?
Website is not working at all - you can see your balances but no buys or sells. Closed for business. It strikes me that an easy way to steal that much would be to claim you were hacked... and head for an island. |

With the theft of Pokey's coins and people trying to help him recover them, it looks like your post may have gone unanswered. Apologies!---snip to questions------ I booted up the Windows wallet - V1.6.1 but it won't sync. I have now downloaded the latest version from the OP in this thread. Haven't installed it just yet. Will it overwrite the old QT or do I need to extract my wallet.dat to a safe place, and then delete the old wallet and replace with the new one entirely? Save a copy of your wallet.dat (Just in case - as always) The new wallet 1.7.8 will overwrite the old one. Suggestion - while Most have had no problem upgrading - I did (Lucky me). You will probably have no problem. The old bug from way, way back would not let me open my wallet past the flash screen. First, I suggest you dumpprivkey in console (and write down priv. key carefully & dbl. check.) for each address which has coins in case you have the same problem. If you do have a problem, you can do a new, clean install & just do a importprivkey (type help in console for syntax or ask for help here, if needed).I think a lot has happened since I last staked FLY - my last stake was 17-11-15 - so is there anything specific I should know before starting the new wallet? I think I understand the NEW fees! Overwite the old and you should be set.

Seems like the team is more interested in XDEII than FLY at this point. There used to be many posts in the FLY thread each day, now there are few to none.
What is the plan with this? How will time be balanced between two different projects and what will happen when one becomes far more valuable to the team than the other?
Thanks for the question. There are times in every business when you need to complete certain items before you launch full speed ahead on many fronts. The wallet developers solved the complex coding issues to allow w/d's of Fly from the exchange to be exempt for everyone w/o high feess and the need to manually add each user to an exempt list. This is currently being tested with expected releaase soon. The team intentionally decided not to push Marketing & Real World usages for Fly until the wallet is finalized with regards to the exchange w/d's. Pushing people to buy FLY that would be stuck on the exchange would not be positive. Once that issue is resolved, which is expected upon completion of wallet testing, you will see things rev up more here. Concerning manpower: There are a dozen team members for FLY so I don't foresee a problem with time dedicated to FLY. Right now the lull is caused by the need to complete the wallet which allows exchange w/d's. |

The remote desktop software itself isn't bad, it's poor configuration if you dont set the security setting properly or more likely just a scapegoat. Why would someone create a fake miner just to access your TeamViewer to later login and steal your wallet.dat by hand with the user potentially watching to stop it? It'd be way easier to just have the fake miner steal the wallet.dat itself and be done with it.
Yesm you are correct. Likely this was NOT done by team viewer and a trojan that downloads the wallet.dat with a keylogger. Well-he said team viewer showed the wallet files having been transferred when he looked at his computer this morning??? Don't know the facts on if team viewer was password protected but a key logger could have gotten that as well |

News: A Fly holder just got robbed of all of his coins - not just FLY. They took his wallets through team viewer for all his coins. Also, they must have had a keylogger on his computer since the wallets were encrypted. The only very small saving grace is the large Tx fees went to the SuperFly wallet and can be sent back to him. Also, Team Fly got Cryptopia to freeze the trading on Fly so those could be recovered as well. Team Fly is reimbursing the Burn Fees. Very sad for him. Many thousands of dollars.
If all of your wallets are not encrypted please do so and install an anti-keylogger. I use Key-Scrambler Premium (small fee) but, there are others which are free.

Staked my first FLY today, gonna take me forever to get to the 100 FLY club...  Have you considered not taxing the little guys on their staking? Hmmm, now that is an idea. Maybe those who don't have 100 coins aren't taxed? Very good suggestion! All those that have above 100 the tax applies. I like it. We will definitely discuss this - I am not sure what it means in programming but Kees will. Also, discussing other rewards to holders under 100 as another option. Thanks for the suggestion |
