I wouldn't consider Barcelona as a threat to the league title unless I'm sure who would be in charge as the head coach, Real Madrid looks to be having a better season than Barcelona and reigning champions Atletico Madrid, but the standings is all still very fragile and 2 weeks of good or terrible performance could make things change a whole lot.
Barcelona is way behind in the title race right now. It looks like they won't be able to make a comeback unless there is a significant change. If they lose points against tomorrow's deportivo alaves, they will start one of the worst seasons in their history, so an absolute win is needed for Barcelona.
