1601  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Possible Scam] BitCashPay- Plagiarized White Paper on: October 01, 2020, 02:13:53 AM
Plagiarism is really a chronic issue among crypto projects. I've checked this BitCashPay project and they have already existing use cases. From their advertising project, they have good figures already, millions of dollars in withdrawal. So I don't know the authenticity of the numbers published on their advertising website. You can check their analytics on this site.

1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker started to eliminate tokens stolen from KuCoin on: September 29, 2020, 11:16:50 PM
If this hacker is not caught and he is able to cashout the stolen money then more people will be encouraged to do so and every exchange will be under threat so it is very important to track and punish this hacker otherwise vulnerability can increase.
Throughout the history of cryptocurrency exchange hacks do you have any idea how many hackers were caught. I bet these might be sophisticated teams who knows what they are doing. They know that if they keep on holding these tokens that are marked they cannot do anything with it and hence they are dumping as fast as they can.

The only solution is that the exchanges should be careful with their security and if they are not capable of that then they need to shut down.

Exchanges should always upgrade their security protocol. As some are already outdated, and new softwares are available, they need to invest on this, otherwise, these hackers will always use these advanced softwares to attack their system. So the security department of crypto-exchanges is really important and should allocate good amount to security. Or what they can do is arrange some kind of insurance like the SAFU of Binance, so the users will be at peace having their funds on their exchanges. But of course, exchanges should see to it that their cold storage is also safe from potential break-ins.
1603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of this new scam method. on: September 29, 2020, 07:45:45 PM
Ohh no, I don't want that stranger to call as scammer because he didn't tried to scam you? He just trying to buy the address which you didn't claimed your airdrop.

He simply want to make money from your ignorance but got backfired at the end.

He is a scammer.. If he had told me at the beginning of the conversation.. I would have given him 100 UNI to say thanks. But instead, he tried to trick me to get all the UNI in my wallet..
Also, no ignorance in that because I never remember making a transaction with the wallet.
I only forgot and he wanted to take advantage of that instead of helping... Someone like that could personally find a way to get peoples private key and steal their funds

It is funny that he even begged for 50/50 share. I don't think anyone will do that for someone you don't know over social media channel. But one thing we learned here, even if your eth wallet had no successful transaction in Uni but at one point, you tried to use their service even if unsuccessful, you still have the chance to claim UNI. So for all users that had used Uniswap before, who maybe forgot already, just check your eth wallet if it is eligible for airdrop.
1604  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Voted best trading platform on: September 26, 2020, 10:32:22 PM
Binance is best trading site for newbies. Binance is safe and secure. There have no fake trading volume. I also use binance and Kucoin. Kucoin  also best one. This exchange also secure, real trading volume and safe.

I do agree, if you are a newbie, it is safer to use Binance. Because they have SAFU ( https://academy.binance.com/glossary/secure-asset-fund-for-users ) in place. But once you acquired the ins and outs in crypto, you can try several exchanges as some coins are not available in BNB. And talking about kucoin, I have read that they were hacked and lost millions of dollars from their hot wallets. I don't know if they have some sort of insurance to those who lost their funds.

1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: September 24, 2020, 11:44:07 PM
1. I will check their website and their whitepaper for grammatical mistakes and I will also check if the website is highly professional.
It's important to look at this factor but there are scammers who have good grammar and professionally made look website and whitepapers.

4. The strength of the team: In this aspect, I will research the team members one after the other to know much about them and their professionalism
This is the total obvious, if you see the team looks like copy-pasted pictures from the internet, never trust them.

A lot of projects with well-written and comprehensive whitepapers have exited as scam. So I think, this is only one factor to check but not a good measure if the project will be a potential scam or not. I am more on the actual app or services offered by the project. If they have real use case with active users, not just bot users, I believe success is forthcoming in their platform. But you need to follow thru, because some of those users are only active at the beginning, check the sustainability of their application. Can it keep those active users?
1606  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Xfinance (DeFi) - Heavily Plagiarized Website on: September 23, 2020, 10:57:02 PM
I understand that they may have purchased the template elsewhere but you can check the contents of the website that it copied it from that source that I posted. In my opinion, I think it's enough reason for me to conclude that it its intent is to scam and take advantage of people, but you are right. Let's hear the opinion of others just to be sure!
<snip...>

That is an interesting observation! I think I should have exercised more caution when checking the resources and its respective domains in order to know which came first. I'll change the title of thread to YFIZ instead of Xfinance. Thank you for that, Rikaflip.

Yes, that kind of information regarding website creation is a good tool to check which comes first. But I bet most of these DeFi projects are just copied from somewhere. If we will devote our time digging on these projects, we will find out that most of them are just copy-paste projects, which is not surprising at all. As the DeFi hype is not yet over, expect more plagiarized whitepapers to come.  Wink
1607  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit closed my account and stole 1.2+ BTC on: September 22, 2020, 11:17:36 PM
No I didn't do any withdrawal. Hopefully I can at least get my deposit back

they mentioned the refund several times already , I'm not sure if it's just talks or they do actually do refunds but here are two times where they mentioned it
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5267433.msg54969470#msg54969470
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5266815.msg54950181#msg54950181

I had a problem with them in the past and I know how full of shit they are but since they keep mentioning the refund thing hopefully you will benefit from it
thing is that they remove access from your account and they have a habit of lying , they can just say that the user got a refund since they have nothing to lose and their reputation here is already bad but good luck anyways

Interesting what would be the results of their investigation. The 1xbit account replied here that they will do investigation. Hopefully, they will do action on this and not just end up saying they will do an investigation. They already lost their credibility a long time ago. But still, there are players who wanted to try their luck in this casino.

1608  Other / Archival / Re: This is very strange website on: September 22, 2020, 12:30:36 AM
That's a scam website. How can you earn 1.5x of your btc in just 3 hours? Stay away from this, else you will lose your money. The btc address has no satoshis yet, so hopefully no one will fall on this trap. And I hope you are not part of it, pretending not to be. First post and this?
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YOP - "The Best DeFi Mobile App Ever" Yield Optimisation Platform on: September 18, 2020, 10:44:58 PM
Had an offer to translate into Arabic.

Open to support as many communities as possible, although at this stage the first version of App will only have English.

Having said that we do plan to offer multi language support beyond V1. This will be rolled out in stages, regionally.

Thanks.

For now, English version will be enough as you are just starting to attract crypto users on your platform. Once you see there is a demand for other regional languages to cater those customers, then you can deploy your app in their language. But right now, the competition in the DeFi market is quite tough as everyone wants to launch their DeFi platform. So good luck in getting those DeFi customers to use your app! Need to fast track your developments here to catch the hype.
1610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GULDEN (NLG): PoW2 - SIGMA - SEGSIG - Become a Witness and secure your future. on: September 18, 2020, 12:08:26 PM
When will the project be listed on major exchanges and exchanged?

Gulden is listed on bittrex and can be purchased and sold through litebit.

https://global.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-NLG

https://www.litebit.eu/en/buy/gulden

Since bittrex is asking KYC for all levels of traders, this may hinder some of your followers to trade your coin in that exchange. But I saw that you are also trading in yobit, but some users are not comfortable using that exchange. So hopefully, we will see this coin to a more user friendly and reputable exchange, no KYC (if you are trading below 2-3 btc/day).
1611  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠️CASINEOS.COM | Blockchain Powered Betting | Crypto Casino and Sportsbook🥊🏀🎲 on: September 18, 2020, 09:54:23 AM
But I noticed in their sports section, they have a lot of sports needed to be added such as boxing, table tennis or volleyball.
good suggestion, they need to add popular games where have a billion citizens play it.

And the loading is quite slow or is it my computer?
Same here, I have slow image loading also, maybe the website had a problem with the server. when I click mybet button, I got an error like this,

The loading improved. Great job Casineos Team! Looking forward for other sports events to be added. Also, I noticed that you added doge and tron. You really are accommodating the community's request. And if you run out of funds, you can always claim their PLAY money to play your games.
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap on: September 17, 2020, 08:24:16 AM
The token from uniswap immedjately got listed on binance. CZ is busy playing games by lisitng all kind of shit tokens riding on the Defi wave including Sushi. He wouldn't want to lose on the trading fee. Uni has seen a low of 0.3 and a high of 15USD within hours of lisitng.

If you have a trade history on uniswap, you will have it in your account when you connect with your wallet. i've heard that claiming it needs a huge gas fees. If its less than what you will get from selling on binance then you can easioy make a profit till everyone dumps it on each other. Last i checked it was still trading at almost 3 USD.

The statement of CZ regarding that Sushi listing is really disappointing. I have high regards with Binance but with such CZ's open statement, we need to be very careful with the tokens listed in BNB. It only means that not all tokens listed on their platform has real use case or has passed their stringent requirements. If they see that they can capitalize the trading fees, they can list the token.
1613  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance is sued by Japanese crypto exchange Fisco on: September 16, 2020, 02:25:31 AM
Agreed. However, does this solve the issue? The skeptical me speculates that some exchanges help some criminal organizations launder their dirty money for cleaning. HSBC and other banks do it, I reckon cryptocoin exchanges have also been doing it.

I mean, there even used to be exchanges created solely for that purpose, so I wouldn't be at all surprised. Capital controls evasion is another major incentive.

This kind of scenario is very possible in all other crypto exchanges not only in Binance, as most of them have certain levels before you will submit KYC, like 2 or 3 btc limit per day. Which can be very well exploited by these hackers because they can slowly get in and out those amount without submitting any identification docs. While there are still exchanges that don't require any KYC at all. So right now, after all these years, they only identified Binance to be one of the exchanges that have their stolen btc. I guess there's more to this story that we don't know yet.
1614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INVIZION (NVZN) - ♻️ Waste Tracking on the Blockchain ♻️ on: September 13, 2020, 11:13:46 PM
Sometimes when I see a project aiming to do good in our environment, I wanted to fast track their development and see if they can really implement what they are targeting here. I am all in for this initiative but how long are we talking about here before we can actually see one project really doing the talk here?
1615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The Complex - A bot building decentralized corporation on: September 13, 2020, 07:50:29 AM
What is happening to this project? No further updates from the OP? Just another Defi that will lose the battle in the field? The available funding is 0 eth and they only have their PLEX tokens?
Seems that their future is hazy here. Or will there be future in the first place?

1616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XIAN COIN - Not open for public trading cryptocurrency. ???? on: September 11, 2020, 10:54:28 PM
I will not blame the known scammer here but those users who will buy his coin. It is already known fact that he is a scammer, and yet people are still sending him money for his scam project? So it is their fault if they will get rekt on this.
1617  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: {Warning}: Exodus phishing website in Google on: September 10, 2020, 11:10:16 PM
Let us hope that no user has been victimized by these scammers. Sometimes people will think that the site is legit because it shows up as google ads. However, if you are a responsible user, you will check first the authenticity of the sites especially that there are a lot of phishing websites these days.

You have proven your sincerity to the forum and have helped a lot of people because of this campaign. Best of luck Best Change!
1619  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠️CASINEOS.COM | Blockchain Powered Betting | Crypto Casino and Sportsbook🥊🏀🎲 on: September 09, 2020, 11:28:50 PM
Immediately regret my decision trying to compete since the top-6 are pretty much irrational Grin
Oh well, luckily, not much money was burned. Anyway, I withdrew 180 XRP prize without a problem.

Their withdrawal system is really fast and smooth. I think this is one advantage of this casino. And when you talk about XRP, no waiting time. But I noticed in their sports section, they have a lot of sports needed to be added such as boxing, table tennis or volleyball. And the loading is quite slow or is it my computer?
1620  Economy / Economics / Re: The freer the market, the freer the people? on: September 08, 2020, 11:59:58 PM
I am one of those who do not agree to give 100% freedom to humans, because a life that is too free will have its consequences chaos.
Indeed freedom is fun for everyone, but it will make people uncontrollable and do whatever they want. Therefore, every country must
have its own rules. The same thing as the market is not good if given freedom, there must be rules governing it.

It's not good to see people experience losing their money just because there are no regulations in the market. Sometimes, we dream to live freely without those strict regulations but if we think it deeply, a government without proper rules and regulations would only mean chaos and definitely not organized. So same with this crypto market, it would be more smooth ceiling if there are rules and regulation that would be strictly imposed so that scammers won't have the chance to fool the people.

But having central authority will defeat the purpose of the mission of crypto. So the responsibility is left to crypto users, how they will use this freedom and how they will act on every potential investment catered to them. Scammers will always be there even before crypto was born. But now, they are getting aggressive as they can operate freely without disclosing their identities. Crypto users should know how to identify between a legit and fake project. There are so many warning signals how to know one like project using fake identities, plagiarized whitepapers, ponzi scheme strategy and others.
