16041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Startup 21 raises record funding $116 mill, aims at mainstreaming BTC on: March 10, 2015, 05:20:19 PM
Good if bitcoin gains big from them, but apparently they are also companies seeking for profit. Not sure if they will even support bitcoin and the network, or they will only use it for the benefit of their companies.

21e6? Nice name.
16042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bryce Weiner attempted to tip ISIS!? on: March 10, 2015, 05:02:56 PM
Though tipping a small amount will not hurt significantly, the point is somewhere inside your brain, you're supporting terrorist. $1 costed him legal actions and disgust from the public. Not worth it.
16043  Economy / Speculation / Re: $350 by Sunday on: March 10, 2015, 04:51:52 PM

So many positive news around bitcoin. Given that there is a massive support from different tech giants and the masses, we can at least safely say that we would reach $350 sooner. Hope that it is not another bubble.  Smiley

By the way, thanks for linking such articles. You saved my time looking for some good reads.  Grin

Hello,

I heard and read that it's possible to make bitcoins from writing and replying to posts on this forum.
Is it true?

So far I wrote few posts, but I can not see my earnings...

Well to monetize your post, you need to be at least attain a Full Member status and participate in a Signature Campaign. There are different rates and terms in a signature campaign, and it's up to your judgment what signature campaign will you take part on. In any case, you should actively participate in discussions and refrain from spamming (as most of the signature campaigns discourage spamming and will not pay their members who spam a lot) because it is against the rules and regulations of the forum.

It will take some time before you could start earning from posting. For now, participate actively on the discussions and be active on the forum to rank up.
16045  Economy / Speculation / Re: You Waited Long Enough ... $300 Bitcoin Happens Today!!! on: March 10, 2015, 04:41:11 PM
Well it happened!  But it went back to regular levels.   Cry

Like that we're trending in the up direction overall though since the post Coinbase spike.

$296 at Coinbase. Still doing pretty good. Smiley

EDIT: $297 now.

Sorry, meant to say Coinbase exchange news spike to $315 back in January, then the massive dump afterwards.

Looks like we're on our way to match the 2015 high soon, then surpass it any day now.

Oh haha. Didn't know that. But still we're doing pretty good. Smiley
16046  Economy / Economics / Re: How to earn money with bitcoin ? on: March 10, 2015, 04:39:11 PM
Faucet verry simple earn money with bitcoin  Smiley
And SignCampaign is good for earn money with bitcoin.
And if you have a large capital and want effortless way to buy some BTC and then hold it at the right time you sell .  Smiley

Faucets aren't simple ways to earn money. Its possibly the worst way to earn money as it requires too much work just entering captcha

Indeed. Faucets, if you want to make good money from them, you need to be good in advertising your referral link to build a solid downline. If that happens, you will get a hefty profit and you can now sit back and let them work for you. Easy money, if you are good enough.
16047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Breakout incoming! on: March 10, 2015, 04:35:20 PM
It's great that this subforum can be funny without all the bears calling the end of Bitcoin with their 'hilarious' GIFs of that guy laughing at a big red candle...

Well it would be hilarious if there were funny gifs and pictures. We do have that in the off-topic section right?

Going back to the topic, I'm still optimistic to see a $300 by the end of this week. Still doing good though, not hoping for a rapid growth. This slow and steady increase is fine by me.  Roll Eyes

$300 isn't that far away.
We could get there even tomorrow.  Smiley

We did achieved $300 earlier and currently we are at $297 (Coinbase). Strong support and heavy demands. Idk if this is good in the long run, but for short-term holders, this is a great opportunity, particularly those who entered in the $230-$240 price range.
16048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Auction Results Thread! on: March 10, 2015, 04:31:18 PM
Updated the post.

It seems like there was 3 winners.  3k, 20k, and 27k.

The 27k seems to be a syndicate that split up the coins among 4 winners.

There's reason to believe Cumberland Mining was the syndicate that one.

No news outlets have reported anything yet.

What if they only separated the coins to cause confusion among us? Well, there are no credible sources to base my claims though, and this is just a pure guess.
16049  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the blood on the street drying up? on: March 10, 2015, 04:29:04 PM
It looks like some upward pressure is building and I'm not sure I like it. This rise is fast enough that it looks like another bubble. It would be better, IMO, if we saw a rise of $5-6USD per week. But whatever. For the moment I'm going to stop buying and move into a spending phase.
Remember the best time to buy is when there is nothing but pessimism and "blood on the streets". Now that we are rallying it is a better time to spend coins and take some profits. So the $230 bitcoin you bought last week is now super money worth more than what you paid.

Or maybe you have another strategy? Do tell.

I honestly consider this as a good profit already (I sold a bit when the price reached $300). The pressure from the buy side is high, and I can't tell whether I like it or not. I guess I like the slow rises better than this one though it still is pretty good for me.

Lol... No.
It will stagnate for a few hours, maybe a day, then somebody will dump 500 BTC and we crash all the way down sub 230 again.
You guys still don't realize this market is fake and there is no real demand?

Billionaires are buying Bitcoin and you claim there is no real demand?
Venture capital is flooding into BTC companies and you.....
Good luck with your prediction.

High demands indeed. Though we couldn't surely say that we will probably be like this for a long time, still we can't deny the fact that big companies and the general masses starts accepting bitcoin and is really going into it.
16052  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pressure is building, this thing is gonna blow! on: March 10, 2015, 04:00:19 PM
Hmm a large sum of money. Good to see that bitcoin is slowly gaining interest from the masses. Only a small time now before we can really say that mass adoption is truly evident. Good times. Smiley
16053  Economy / Speculation / Re: You Waited Long Enough ... $300 Bitcoin Happens Today!!! on: March 10, 2015, 03:47:51 PM
Finally! The buy pressure prevails against the those sell orders! Hoping to see it stick around (or increase, who knows) within the coming weeks. Good times. Smiley

One of 2 things might happen. Either it will stay at 300 with all the support. Or people will dump at 300 and it will go back down.
Only time will tell.

Only the traders themselves could tell. Many short-term holders who bought in at 230 would consider this as a good time to sell.

Thanks guys. I read somewhere that these wallets are good: https://mycelium.com/ and https://electrum.org/

What are your thoughts?

Online wallets?  Too many horror stories.

I'm going to second this. Online wallets are far too risky. Even with a legitimate site, it can be hacked, an employee can go rogue, etc. You're basically opening yourself up to a lot more risks than you would be otherwise. Unlike cash, which is FEDERALLY insured when in a bank, your BTC, if stolen/hacked/etc. is gone forever. Always keep it in your own possession at all times.

True. It is better to keep your own funds yourself rather than trust other third-party sites to take care of them for you. Multiple saving of the files of your wallet is a lot safer than letting other people--even if they are a legitimate business or entity within the society--handle your money for you.
16056  Economy / Economics / Re: A noob question. on: March 10, 2015, 03:02:07 PM
Did we see much price increase correlated to the last halving? I don't think so. But perhaps that rate (from 50 to 25) still wasn't enough to cause a shortage of supply over demand.

Well if the price didn't increase, I assume that there is not enough demand to account with the then reduced supply. This statement is based on what I've learned so far from this thread. Smiley
16057  Economy / Speculation / Re: I predict I will never make any money... on: March 10, 2015, 02:59:02 PM
He hasn't logged in since 22 February. That's what you get for betting a guy with 70 posts.
I'm sure if he won, he'd be all over the forum bragging and quoting that convo. Now he'll just abandon the account and look to make another bet.  Undecided

Most probably.  Cheesy

If ever OP encountered another bet like this, remember the name man. Remember that he/she still has their time to escape and never to pay the bet again. Smiley
16058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Breakout incoming! on: March 10, 2015, 02:53:45 PM
I find it strange OKcoin is now the exchange with the largest USD volume of trades. OKcoin led the rally last night but the Chinese themselves complain that the volume on there is mostly fake.

Yah, I've also heard that most of the volume on that exchange is not real.  I wouldn't use that evidence to support the breakout theory.

How'd you say that the volume isn't real? Where did OKcoin get their stats? Randomly input numbers?

Did you earn some bitcoin today? If so, how did you do it? BTC

Signature campaign. Not that much, but it will probably help me get by for this week. Faucets, I rarely use them now. Trading? Last time I did, I profited that good.
