The people that bought them when the design was supposed to be 2TH they shipped two 1TH machines. I guess they weren't able to make them as power-dense as they thought they could when the ASIC actually ran 1W/GH instead of 0.55W/GH eh?

I've heard it hits 0.7 in the HEX4Ms if you downclock. Not really relevant though, just a fun fact.

I'm seeing closer to 0.9.

MTR has requested that the long term escrow funds be released to them.  Since this was billed as "long term" escrow and it has only been 6 days, I want to give the community an opportunity to weigh in here.  They have completed the necessary goals to release the BTC, but I feel that at least a 7 day period should pass with me stating my intent to release escrow due to the circumstances.  If you have any concerns regarding the release of escrow, please PM me.  I will post on this thread again 24 hours before releasing escrow.

Is there a date for this yet?  A great purchase for a Roth IRA account.

Does it have the updated hashing board and PSU?

Yes. It is the model that doesn't burst into flames.
16085  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase. :-( on: March 08, 2015, 01:45:17 AM
So whats the verdict ? Why did they cancel the orders and don't allow buying BTC ?  I still don't get it, didn't they provide an explanation on how to fix this ?

The verdict is that they cancelled the orders for no reason and refunded the money after holding it for a week.

I am pretty sure they didn't cancel those orders to profit from the exchange rate difference. There must be some kind of deeper reason behind this?

I can't say why they cancelled the order, but I can say that every verification was completed and I don't think anything could have been done differently that would have made this order successful.

16087  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: March 06, 2015, 03:58:38 AM
Out of curiosity, where (in general) is the NastyCenter located and how much is the rate?
Follow up: Have you ever considered running a colocation service?

The NastyCenter is up in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range.  The rate doesn't matter because I pay all of the electricity costs out of my own pocket.

I don't think hosting units for others would make enough BTC to be worth the effort and it would have a negative effect on our mining operation's ability to expand.
16088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the rumor about the latest 50,000 BTC auction true? on: March 06, 2015, 02:28:40 AM
They always sell for above market price.  Same would happen if you tried to buy 50,000 BTC from an exchange.  The benefit here is you are buying from the US government, so you don't have to worry about trusting some startup company with millions of your dollars.

I'll give it a shot.
16090  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase. :-( on: March 05, 2015, 10:40:50 PM
Any reason for why it for cancelled?  Coinbase isn't the same wallet/exchange it was before all the updates. A few years ago.

According to them it was for, "After an assessment of your account activity."

The only account activity was the 2 purchases listed above.

Have you confirmed your identity to them and followed the step to verify? I know that they have canceled orders in the past when the prices have moved wildly. I have been using them for several months and never had orders canceled.

All the requested banking information was provided and confirmed.
16091  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinbase. :-( on: March 05, 2015, 10:16:57 PM
My experience with trying to buy BTC from Coinbase.

Day 1: Sign up and buy 1 BTC.
Day 2: Money gets taken from bank account.
Day 2: Buy 9 more BTC.
Day 3: 9 BTC order gets cancelled.
Day 7: 1 BTC order gets cancelled.

Darn it! Sorry.. sisters been in the hospital, been kind of a bad week.
Ouch, my week has sucked as well, but not that bad.  Best wishes..

I do have a question tho - when I log into the nasty fans site, on my home page I have "payments on hold".  Wondering what that means?

I have one minted 1oz seat, and 9 online seats.  I do see under the donations link that I have received donations and distributions, and I have checked the coin explorer page on uberbills (love that you can do that).  The amount on the coin explorer shows an amount that is the sum of what's under my donation history, as well as the "on hold" section in the home page.

So, just wondering how that all works...

There's a transaction threshold for the minted seats.  Once the on hold BTC reaches the threshold, you will see a transaction to your minted seat's address.  Uberbills counts both the amount held under the threshold and the total amount earned.  You would have to subtract the threshold amount from the total amount to see the actual balance held on the coin, or just click the address link.

I've got one of these bars without the hologram if anyone wants one just to add to their collection.

Do you know of any with the hologram?

16099  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Original NES with games on: March 05, 2015, 05:54:29 AM
I still occasionally play my original one I bought in the 80's.  Life Force, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, & Super Off Road will never get old.

I figure this is a long shot here, but tons of them are on eBay.

would you want someone to buy one off ebay for you? (paid back in btc of cause)

He could buy an eBay gift card from gyft.com if that were the case. Wink
