I'm not sure any of that applies to bitcoin--those market cycles apply to business, i.e., stocks. Take a look at precious metals. Gold and silver don't follow anything that resembles that, or if they do the cycle is extremely long. And if bitcoin does obey market cycles then I'm totally confused as to where we're at. Seems like bitcoin just cycles up and down, sometimes very quickly.

Yeah, this is otherwise known as "account sale disguised as a loan". How stupid do you think people are around here? You ain't gonna get this "loan", bud.
|
|
|
I went to the places where people where offering a loan service and if one of them accepted then i was going to delete the rest and what do you mean unsecured loan.
unsecured means no collateral. Anyway, if you need help with bills get your friends or family to help you. Surely they will understand... This right here. Folks on bitcointalk don't part with their bitcoin readily, and in the lending section you have to be either very trusted (you're not, you're brand new and just asking for loans) or have valid collateral (which you don't). And that's why Vod sprayed the red on you. A bit harsh, but you realize now people don't fuck around here.

Loan amount: 0.02 BTC add: 1GRuDrY6fM9nC9B8Kf7SP8oed7QrmGxwHj Collateral(optional): My personal Gmail account (verify before & everything) Repayment amount: 0.3? Repayment date: this coming Wednesday Reason is for goods shipping.
Please don't red card me if I'm out of line asking this. Sorry if I am. The Gmail you can verify it's valid colleratel. Well used account. Again please don't red me. It's a shot in the dark here. Fudge, I'll even give you my personal number to get ahold of me etc. Thanks either way
I know this a duplicate of a post on another person's topic. Just hoping to get it shipped tonight (he's offline, sleeping I'd gues) . & with the collateral. You can look to verify it's good colloteral before anything obviously. It's tied to so many of my accounts (fb, twitter, etc) and personal life. Please only trusted members..
Repayment 0.3? Hopefully that's a typo but in any case you don't have valid collateral so it's not likely anyone is going to lend you anything.

I hope that theymos will remove or limit the signature space for a few months, just a little test to see how things will change (less spam, more constructive contents).
Really doubt that would happen, but it would be nice to see. I get paid a flat rate regardless of posts and wish all campaigns were like that. I would be good with no more campaigns around here. It is a shame so many abuse them because they are a good idea and are effective for advertisers. I guess the issue is to some people it is a lot of money so they abuse it to get paid. Well, you see, the signature campaigns are not really the problem. People abusing them create the problems and I always said that stricter rules should be applied to signature campaign participants. The spam would eventually be lower if every signature spammer gets banned, unfortunately right now, that's not the case. You can find blatantly obvious spammers in the off-topic section or games and rounds. I rarely visit those sections anyway, so I really don't care whether people spam over there. It's the interesting topics that relate to bitcoin that I can't stand people shitposting in. Fortunately the mods here do a decent job of deleting posts that are crap--and I've had a few of mine deleted, and I'm cool with that. A few months ago I probably would have been against having signatures, but I bit the bullet and joined one and it's fun to earn bitcoin by posting. I was always fascinated by the concept as I'd never seen something like it in other forums, but I saw all the spammers and hated it for a long time.

You guys are like total noobs. This ponzi guy is not even a full member yet, and most folks here know not to deal with such clowns. Especially clowns that have fucking PONZI in their user names.
I don't know, seems so easy to scam around here is actually making me think about it. People send fucking 300 euros to some newb?? Wtf? I don't really get it, after all the scams that happened here you would think people have learned but no. Bitcointalk: Where lack of integrity meets opportunity. Lol. Yeah sure, it's an easy way to make money if you have no morals and don't care about fleecing newbies.

I have to side with the noob on this and Klyemax knows they're used as collateral but they're usually shitty collateral. And klyemax busting the noob's ass about increasing his post count whilst shamelessly promoting his porn avatar. Fucking priceless.

The account is now the property of Altcoin4life and it is justified.
Nope, if something is stolen and then sold off (or in this case given away/taken collateral), it stays property of the original owner, as the thief didn't have the right to give it away in any case. Altcoin4life isn't the rightful owner, SwingDev proved to be. I agree with this x1000. I do hope swingdev gets his stolen account back with no hassle. It is rightfully his.

It might help if you mentioned what you want to do, like just buying btc, trading altcoins etc. Don't know what's in Florida (other than Cryptsy) but Coinbase, Yobit, and Circle I've used and they all serve their purpose.

Putting them on the same page wouldn't be fair IMO.The other one was a hero & very close to legendary,he might be deserving a perma. His life will move on and he'll learn a lesson.
Perma is not a lesson its obliteration. Sure it is. He'll know not to pull that bs on other forums. And getting banned from any forum isn't anywhere close to being the end of the world. I say don't be soft on this stuff. We can agree to disagree though and ultimately my opinion doesn't matter.

I think there should be some mercy for complete newbies as he clearly admits that he bought it.
I disagree. He bought an account to make money here and he copy-pasted other people's words. From looking at his posts, they're basically shitty and I don't think it's a great loss (that's being overly generous) for him to be permabanned. His life will move on and he'll learn a lesson.

Soft drinks regardless of whether they are sweetened with sugar or artificial sweeteners cause all sorts of health problems including but not limited to obesity, diabetics, heart problems, cancers etc.
I voted for Ring Confidential Transactions. The health impact of this is to stimulate the brain while learning how they work, with all sorts of beneficial health results.
I would agree with the problems you mentioned about sugared soft drinks but I don't believe the evidence for what you claimed about artificially-sweetened soft drinks. I think those are way better than the sugared drinks and I think the cancer claims are pretty much hooey. Edit: What is this thread really about?

In my opinion, there are absolutely no advantages to having a Xapo wallet. In fact I'd be willing to bet that folks who know more about bitcoin than I do would say that a Xapo wallet only has disadvantages. If I'm not mistaken you don't control your private keys, but I could be wrong about that. I really don't trust any online wallet anyhow--but I do have a Xapo for the faucets that deposit instantly to it. But that's it. I keep no bitcoin in my Xapo wallet.

OP, get used to this bullcockery. I just gave out my first two loans on this forum a couple of days ago and I got a PM from someone asking for a PayPal-->btc deal from me. Not gonna happen, but it's not worth creating a thread about. You have to realize how many scammers there are on this board, especially the lending section. I'd say 75% of new loan requests are attempts to scam, maybe more.

No, why? its not a muslim country, i respect muslims, but their laws should stay on their home country
No no no no no no no no, a thousand times no. I agree, their laws should stay in their homeland. My personal view is that any religious law is silly and superstition-based and has no part in a modern society. So I would vigorously oppose Sharia law in the US.

Unlike fiat currencies that are been affected by country policies that lead to fundamental analysis bitcoin operate in that form by press release about development, invention and acceptance which can be read at coindesk, cointelegraph and reddit.
I agree with this mostly. Bitcoin is global, so I don't think one country's actions will affect it all that much, unless it's China. I don't think fundamental analysis can be done with bitcoin, and I've said this in other threads in the past. Bitcoin doesn't have earnings and doesn't pay a dividend like a stock, or pay interest like a bond. It's kind of like gold and silver, except FA can be done with metals because they get used and you have mining data and such. Bitcoin is strange. Press releases can be just hype.

You know I actually actively traded today on Yobit and made a small profit. It was kinda interesting but stressful at the same time. Doge was like a rocket today, up to something like 130 satoshis, but it was definitely dumped at some point this evening, because it's now below 100. What an interesting day. And bitcoin is in the crapper for now.

I think the flow of topics in general--not just the economics section--is lacking. There are some very bright people who used to post regularly here, the old-timers and so forth. What I see mostly is speculation threads that are just wild guessing and are completely unnecessary. I don't have a great background in economics, just a few college courses, so I don't have a lot to add here.

Whoooeeee, I get home from work and bitcoin is back around $378. Quite a drop from earlier this afternoon, and it looks like doge is falling back to earth as well. But I suppose where we're at is in the range OP is talking about. I was kinda hoping for a rocket to the moon today but it was not to be. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
