Yeah it’s also not a priority when your sitting on 3.6 Million at current price as of writing.

Would be nice to see a way for people to show support to the forums and gain some reward online with the donating ones

It would be nice to have the forum give small amounts of bitcoin back to users in the form of incentives as a goodwill gesture

Good to hear from you Colton  : )

Point taken about the different approaches you took towards modifying your business model. Am happy you are getting people signing up on a regular basis and more importantly there are investors.

Wishing you success.

Is this project still alive?

Yes it is alive. The wallet does sync and nodes are up to date.

maybe the owner passed away and no-1 knows about those coins. that's why they weren't touched since 2011, they never will be! that's why people should be putting crypto in there wills nowadays because it anything happens to you do you think loved ones would know how to claim your crypto fortunes?

Agree with you about wills and last testaments. I am sure people nowadays are doing so however, if a wallet is secured with a password then it does not fill me with confidence if I have to write it down in a will in the presence of my lawyer.

So many bitcoin billionaires yet once upon a time in the early days a miner was selling 10,000 bitcoins for $50 but it remained unsold because nobody including fellow miners bought them.
16127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / TOP 100 RICHEST BITCOIN WALLET ADDRESSES on: December 22, 2017, 07:06:01 PM
Some very interesting stats here including several billionaires, plenty of multi-millionaires and some surprises such as several wallets which had a single transaction of thousands of bitcoins in 2011 but those wallets were never really used again some in 2016/17 and some dating back to 2011.

The largest amount is held in a Bitfinex Cold Storage Wallet containing 145,046 BTC ($1,991,736,809 USD)

#2 on the list: Wallet Address 16rCmCmbuWDhPjWTrpQGaU3EPdZF7MTdUk containing 119,203 BTC ($1,636,867,677 USD)

At least Bitmora is honest with its intentions by not starting the ICO. They know their goal and do their best to achieve it, big UP for your work !

I agree, full credit for their intentions and attempts in trying to get started but they cannot go down the ICO route simply because of a recent modification to US regulations which states all US citizens/residents and passport holders are not allowed to invest in non SEC accredited investments (including ICOs).

Any US based organisation that starts an ICO without gaining accreditation through the SEC will be raided by the police and the team arrested for breaking the law. Any US citizens/residents and passport holders wanting to participate in ICOs have to check with the SEC to see if it is legal other they too would be breaking the law.

I got extremely bad first experience with Shapeshift. "Automatic" exchange failed, i have opened ticket 128058.
Two days passed and no any reply. All my plans are wasted. If Shapeshift want to continue to work in cryptocurrency they have to resolve issues much faster.
Courses are changed every hour (minute), slow support is totally unacceptable.

Yes slow support is totally unacceptable. ShapeShift does turn over hundreds of millions of dollars worth of crypto per annum so surely they can afford to provide a better standard of customer services. Even though they make a small percentage of profit per transaction, it adds up to be plenty.
16130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EXCHANGE] Bitmora - Digital Asset Exchange in Development on: December 22, 2017, 09:12:34 AM
This must be the third or the fourth time the Bitmora team have tried to launch their project. As with the previous attempts they had threads stating their intent but could not get their idea off the ground.

On one of the attempts they showed they had a $15k investment out of a $60k target but there was little or no interest in it, certainly investors were not lining up.

There is no reason to be so sure this attempt to get their idea off the ground will succeed because of previous failures but I give credit to them for trying again and again. The investment involved for them to meet their propositions are huge. Keeping all other things related to the actual trading matters aside, they intend to have telephone support staff which will probably be based in the US (not elsewhere to save funds) so will be costly.

The key reason for Bitmora launch failures in the past was lack of investment. Had the team believed in their idea so much surely they could have arranged the $60k they needed when they first tried to launch but two main players in the project seemed to believe in the project but did not seem to invest their own funds. The reason I declined to invest in Bitmora many months ago was because it seemed the two founders wanted to create and direct the project but had little or no funds themselves.

I hope they succeed, it would be nice to see a new exchange with new formats to choose from.

With the price of Bitcoin soaring, hackers are trying harder to steal coins.

16133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MEOW] KittehCoin - UPDATED 2017 on: December 20, 2017, 07:22:43 PM
Last night I dug out my old laptop with my Kittehcoin wallet along with so many others dating back to 2013/2014. Interesting to see I had so many coins back then.

Anyway, the wallet is taking so long to sync. I started last night and it has been running almost constantly since then. Down to 27 weeks now but is taking so long.

192 weeks behind... At least we don't have to sync the wallet to receive coins.

I am all sync'd Smiley

16135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 19, 2017, 12:58:09 AM
Why now many credit card-based projects?
I have not seen any successful projects so far
Such as TokenCard, Exscudo and now MONACO, I am very pessimistic with this kind of project

Me too, they have not exactly revolutionised the way we use crypto.
16136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 Rupaya 🚀 Cryptocurrency of South-Asia 🚀 Proof of Stake - 8.4M Total Supply on: December 17, 2017, 07:57:05 PM
Have your ever seen or talked to Bitcoin's creator ? is he on any about us or the team page ? yet you buy btc

No offence intended but Bitcoin is a totally different ball game than Rupaya.

You have done very well with the Rupaya project, congratulations on your hard work. I hope it goes from strength to strength.
16137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 16, 2017, 10:18:31 PM
Maybe they delaying because in August before monaco still not approved by visa yet, but now monaco already get visa approval. So i hope we can see a news about when monaco card will be shipping so that not make investors worry

Yes there was a long delay with them obtaining VISA accreditation but heading to 5 months past the date they calimed they would send them, that is not good.
16138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ShapeShift.io - Instant Coin Exchange - No Account Needed on: December 16, 2017, 10:16:27 PM
I have used shapeshift many times in the past with no issues, but have not tried to use them in the last couple of weeks with all of the network issues.  However, it appears there are many issues due to transactions not going through within the allotted time frame they use.  I would personally stay away for now until we can get some answers.  There are a lot of folks having issues with them right now.

It seems that small transactions are ok but larger ones get stuck frequently leaving the sender/receiver in limbo. It seems to take too long for ShapeShift to resolve tickets.

Why the need for tickets? Well they are opened because transactions were not completed.
16139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 16, 2017, 08:25:33 PM
I hope there is a great news about when this card will be shipping to their customers. If monaco card can be used by customers i think it can make mco price start to rising, because monaco product can be used for real activity

They were supposed to be shipped out in August but have been delayed. I have low confidence in the project team.
16140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 Rupaya 🚀 Cryptocurrency of South-Asia 🚀 Proof of Stake - 8.4M Total Supply on: December 16, 2017, 08:24:28 PM
I am concerned with the same point. If you do not reveal your identity, why should i invest in this project. Building trust is the key to success.

I agree but there is no guarantee the website and project is bonafide if there are "The Team" and "About Us" pages. It does give more investor confidence though.
